Will and Guy on Steve Lamacq's Show on BBC 6Music [TODAY 15/06/11 - 4.00pm BST]
I actually heard the last 90 sec to 2 minutes of the interview. But reading the posts, it looks like I haven't missed much (besides Mr Berryman!)

MEGAPOLL! Guess the LP5 tracklisting announcement day! (WINNERS! 9th September: Drew42LP5 and Megalo
According to Hits daily double which is a reputable music website, the album will be released in October and there will be 2 more singles before the official album release. Check out the article, paragraph 3. http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news08569m01 I just posted this on another thread too.

When do you think LP5 will come out?
Yes me too. I've been reading that website for years now and it's a respectable one. I've read many times on the fora that LP5 will be released in October which makes sense because the labels release their big selling cds in October/November since it's the busiest shopping period. I also wonder if those 2 singles will be new songs or will it some of the new live songs?

When do you think LP5 will come out?
Check out this article. It says Coldplay album will be released in OCTOBER. THis is a pretty big music website here in the US http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news08569m01 That said, “Every Teardrop” isn’t quite as hooky as “Vida,” but it’s got a forward momentum all its own, particularly Jonny Buckland’s ringing guitar jabs and its Eno-esque wall of sound. Whether there’s a backlash remains to be seen, as we have until October (and two more singles) before the full album, only the band’s fifth, drops. Just for comparison’s sake, U2’s fifth album was their breakthrough, The Joshua Tree, so the ambitious Martin and company certainly have their work cut out for them.

I voted August 30 but I hope I wrong. I'm thinking they'll announce it around the end of August for an October release because they will sell more albums during that period.

Coldplay sales Updates
ETIAW is doing really great but I'm shocked to see that Fix You peaked at 59 in the US. What a shame!

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
There are few Coldplay songs that I don't like but I will say that I love 90% of their songs. I respect that someone might not like ETIAW but seeing people judging them so early in the album promo made me sick. There are lots of songs from others artists that I don't like but I don't dismiss them. I get it people like different stuffs, it's Nature.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
I think ALL Coldplay fans are called Coldplayers not just the forum people. Others examples are: --The Victims (fans of the Killers) -- Little Monsters (gaga) -- Beliebers, Katy cats etc... If you're not a Coldplay fan, I highly doubt that you know who or what The Oracle is. I think saying that the song is poorly written is even worse than having an issue with the new sound.

Daniel vs Coldplay vs Me Sorry if there is a similar tread going on but I couldn't find it. And I'm not even sure if this is allowed on here. If not, sorry :( First, if you haven't read the latest Oracle post, here it is. June 9, 2011 - submitted by Daniel, Canada Q. Dear Oracle, I really need to know, have Coldplay lost their touch? I know that they've collaborated with Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson to write Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, but do they now need to rely on other people writing their music for them? Is this the direction the band is headed? The Oracle replies: Er, Peter Allen is dead so that's impossible! There has been NO collaboration. I don't think people are quite understanding the song's composition. To clarify: Chris was inspired to write Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall after hearing some chords in a nightclub scene in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's film Biutiful (2010). The chords in the film are part of a track that is based on I Go To Rio written by Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson, released by Peter Allen in 1976. If you look at a clip on YouTube you'll hear the chords for yourself. As for other people asking if Ritmo de la Noche by The Sacados should also be credited the answer is "no". Firstly, that is a cover of Chocolate's song by the same name who sampled I Go To Rio. Secondly, they both came later in 1990 so hopefully they should have credited Peter & Adrienne. Now here is my rant, This goes out to all the "Daniel" --Just because you don't like 1 song doesn't mean that they lost their touch. --There is NOTHING wrong with sampling and being inspired. The boys can only do much with the few guitars chords and piano notes. There is a limit. Also there are a least 100 billions songs out there so anything that you hear now might be similar to something else. Right now 99% of the songs on radio and itunes are from samples. You'll be surprised with how many of your favorite songs are "inspired" --You shouldn't call yourself a "Coldplayer" if you go out and judge and dismiss your band after just 1 song, at least wait till you hear the full album. --If you want to hear Parachutes again, just play it on your Ipod. Don't ask them to make the same album over and over again. And I'm sure you have evolved since 2000. I'll be really sad for you if you haven't. As the boys grow and change with age and experiences, their sound will evolve as well. I already feel better :)

LP5 to be released on July 1?!?!
When I saw the headline, my heart stopped! But no way, they need more than 3 weeks of promo for the album. October 10th sounds very likely and it's enough time for 2 singles (ETIAW and ....) releases
