Totally agree. VLV is a wonderful album, everything from the music to the album artwork and the live shows has just been amazing. How can you say it's bland? It is the least bland of the lot. Having said that, no Coldplay album is bland. They are all brilliant :D

I also like Green Day :) But I seriously doubt that Billie-Joe Armstrong would listen to Coldplay, let alone be influenced by them.

My friend lent me Viva La Vida and I put it on my iTunes. I though it was good on first listen, but the more and more I listened the better it got. Eventually I decided to get AROBTTH, I loved that, then X & Y and Parachutes followed (both excellent). Then I found this forum :P

I just noticed that on Match Of The Day on BBC1, when they show the league table at the end, the music playing in the background is the chorus of Life In Technicolor :D I never actually take in any of the league positions because I'm too busy listening to the song :lol:

When you put on VLV and when Life in Technicolor kicks in you sing all the lyrics to LiTii in perfect time, like it's a karaoke version :P

Spot on, to me The Hardest Part fantastically uplifting, beautiful and lifts X & Y just when you think the album is petering out to an anti-climax. Oh and God Put A Smile Upon Your Face is great! :stunned:
