1. That was awesome to be a part of PH's birthday tribute!!! I'm excited that I pretty much have the exact same seats that I did in Dallas, just on the opposite side of the catwalk! Happy to be on Chris' preferred side this time! (Section C, Row 18)
2. Here is one picture.........my inadvertent crotch shot....eeeeekkkkk
3. AT&T stadium is horrible for concerts. I got very lucky this time around, because we had floor seats (Sec J, Row 8 - 2 seats from the catwalk), and for where I was sitting the sound was not terrible. I got a couple of songs recorded (one on my phone and 3 on my camera) and they all sound decent. The show was amazing!!! I was able to get a few good pictures (always hard with Chris because he's never still), and I inadvertently captured a crotch shot of Chris. (*Note - I am not especially tech savvy, but I will try to figure out how to load some videos and pictures.....eventually) PS - the Texas flag thing is probably a result of "knowing your audience". Since Texas used to be it's own country, we are allowed to fly our state flag at the same height as the US flags. (if places fly both on separate poles, they will be the same height, if the same, US flag is flown higher). The TX flag is probably the most recognizable state flag of all the states in the US. It could be our pride **cough arrogance cough**
4. I could get some amazing photos if I could bring my DSLR in (especially where my seats are located). I have a point and shoot that I set on shutter priority and it does decent, if there is enough light. The only thing that I'm worried about is that Chris can't stay still for one second - so we'll see what I end up with...lol!
5. I was wondering about that myself. I'm not sure my seat will be entirely affected, but I'd really like to see what it will really look like. (Section J, Row 8, Seats 15-17). I'm kinda thinking reconfigured, maybe I will be even closer to the catwalk, but I'm not sure. And, I also wonder what they do with the seats they already sold that may have to be changed??
6. I LOVE Keane!! Probably in my top 5 bands, but for sure top 10. I have a friend who went to boarding school with TRO and Tom. One of her close (ish) friends is Tom's sister. And, she had classes with TRO!! It's fun to see pictures of her childhood and see Tim at that age.
7. 100% agreed. Broken and shady.
8. I have done VIP for several artists, including Coldplay in 2012. There are actually several ways that VIP seats are set up. Sometimes, they are set up on multiple levels, where yes, you can pay around $1000. Most of the time though, (including Coldplay and Muse), I get the lowest level of VIP, which in the past has been around $200-$225. Usually, with that level, you get the premium seats, plus some type of 'swag', a commemorative ticket, a tote bag, water bottle, or something of that nature. So - it's entirely possible that they have multiple levels of "VIP", and that you could get possibly get a VIP seat for less than $300 on this tour. I wish I could find VIP pricing information today though. I wonder if they did VIP with the UK shows??
9. The acoustics suck bad at AT&T stadium - but, I understand the reasoning for playing there. Anyone have any info on the VIP pricing??
10. A lot of times, it really depends on the band. Every time I have seen Coldplay in Dallas, they have "assigned" seats on the floor w/ chairs used. But, a few bands (for example, Muse and Imagine Dragons) did not use chairs and had a true GA section at the exact same venue. Every Coldplay show I've been to, everyone stands throughout regardless of chairs/seats present or not. I've seen Coldplay live 5 times in Dallas and they have never had a true GA format.
11. X&Y is my favorite album, and I freaking LOVE this song. I love THG and love Coldplay and think it's absolute pure genius and perfection!! (and, I'm an apologist, and do not care)
12. Let's not forget about Stewart Copeland (The Police) ~ he's amazing! The fact that Will is a multi-instrumentalist and started playing the drums later is a testament to skill ~ he's up there, no doubt!
13. Keane - Disconnected
14. ^ Mmmmhhhhhmmmmm I am loving these latest pics of him from the past few weeks!! The longer hair, the scruff......it's almost too much
15. Keane - Bedshaped
16. I love them! I don't really listen to "regular" radio though, so I kind of control what I listen to, so the songs that get overplayed, aren't overplayed to me. However, my favorite songs of theirs are not the 'popular' ones. Right now my favorites are Bleeding Out and The River. Looking forward to seeing them in September in Dallas, they are pretty talented musicians.
17. Not really to me, but I think that Josh Dallas (David/Prince Charming from Once Upon a Time) has a Chris-ish look to him. They look like they could at least be related
18. Yellow with new piano intro vs. Violet Hill guitar solo
19. ^ WHY will she answer questions like that when you know there has to be better questions out there. Frustrating!
20. ooooh, just thought of another one......when Chris's shirt rides up and you get a peek of skin, yeah, definitely an asset
21. Lovers in Japan (live - pick a version)
22. Chris' flying leaps! Seriously - I agree with the Balance post from above. They just have 'IT', they just do
23. Travis - Sing
24. The Sundays - Wild Horses
