  1. Yeah me too! I'm still trying to figure out why he did that in Dallas :inquisitive:
  2. ^ Ha, Stop The Clocks is one of the ones I have. I have the 3-disc set (with DVD), and I don't have any other Oasis stuff and feel quite content really...
  3. Yay for the MP3 of TKC! Thanks for that  As far as the drumstick, I'm betting on Will. I witnessed the power of his drumming in Houston when he broke one of the drumheads during Politik! :D Angie took some video of it - I would have, but I was more mesmerised trying to figure out exactly what was going on and why Bash was hanging out at Will's feet! :P [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckU_AnYJzkI]YouTube - Drum repairs[/ame]
  4. A 'Greatest Hits' CD is inevitable. It will happen, but who knows when. It's usually part of the contract - like 5 studio albums and a greatest hits. So I'm not sure what the contract with EMI is. We'll probably see one in the next year or so. Here's hoping it will be a 2-disc set as mentioned before. I like greatest hits CDs though. They are great for bands you just don't really love, but want to have a few songs you like. Of course, there are always songs missing, but it's also a good way to get into a new band rather than buying the individual albums at first. I have bought a greatest hits before to test out a band, then if I like it, I go back and get the other material. So it's not all bad...
  5. Yeah, I have the US promo of Lost!, so it does exist. It has the same track listing as the Euro blue one...
  6. EEK! It looks like a nuclear bomb went off in the Sierra's!!
  7. Not good video, but great audio! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dObd-ujN2Kw]YouTube - Coldplay - Till kingdom come and Billie Jean, Live in Herning, 2009 (Will sings TKC)[/ame]
  8. 31 AUGUST, 2009 For those at Toronto's Virgin Festival waiting for a full-on, festival-size performance, UK dance legends Pet Shop Boys delivered in spades. On a day when the crowd made it clear most of the acts on the bill were time-fillers before headliners Nine Inch Nails -- the wave of ticket holders pushing through the gate at dusk was the biggest tip-off -- Pet Shop Boys were the only band to earn an encore. Their stage setup seemed simple at first glance -- it was comprised of blocks like an homage to Tetris -- but as they worked through their set, their backup dancers realigned the stacks to create new patterns while a massive LED screen blinked out accompanying images. Though they arrived on stage with similarly colourful blocks obscuring their heads, singer Neil Tennant's unmistakable nasal voice reassured any doubters that they were the real deal. With the Pixies having set a blistering pace in the same time slot the night before, Pet Shop Boys weren't concerned with playing every one of their hits. They touched on necessary points like 'Go West' and their iconic cover of 'Always on My Mind,' dropped in a couple of the singles from their newest album 'Yes,' and crowned their set with a glorious cover of Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida.' Though there was little dancing in the stands, the crowd couldn't be blamed for wanting to take in every campy moment of the performance with its dancing skyscrapers, b-boy posing and flickering animations. The night wrapped with a full-power rendition of 'It's a Sin' and an encore of their first hit single, 'West End Girls,' which brought the house down. They may not have been the night's main draw, but they sure nailed their performance. Source: http://www.spinner.com/2009/08/31/pet-shop-boys-cover-coldplay-at-torontos-virgin-festival/
  9. I tried at both the Dallas and Houston shows this year, but wasn't successful. I came the closest in Dallas since I was in the PIT. Another girl who got there before me got it. I asked another roadie if they had any others and he said he would go look. Then one of the security guards told me I had to leave. I told him I was waiting on a set list, and he basically said something along the lines "If he doesn't get it to you by the time you get to that gate, then tough luck!" So, I didn't get one. UGH! Well, then in Houston, while I was sitting with Angie waiting for the show to begin, she told me I should check out the sound booth since they usually have one and people forget to ask there. She was lucky to have one secured for her by making friends with the security guard next to her. So, at the end of the show, I tried the sound booth but they said they didn't have any :disappointed: Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be!

  11. Haha, I remember seeing that happen to Angie, except at the time I didn't know it was her! I tried at all three TX shows to get a signed one but didn't have any luck. At the Houston show (since it was my last chance), I left a little later so the crowd wouldn't be as bad, and asked the person handing them out but he didn't have any in his box :(
  12. Ooh, that prompted me for a re-post of the one I took in Houston :D It's not the best, but it's something, ha! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3Wl1r-oCWA]YouTube - Coldplay The Woodlands-Houston: 22nd July, 2009 - The Hardest Part, Will[/ame]
  13. EDIT: Oops! Vid's already posted above! :D
  14. ^ I second that! It's one of my favourites, but also seems like such a big song to leave out!
  15. It's a fine line between visiting and living there. England doesn't really suck overall, its just so expensive and people get sick of the weather. Not to mention the UK being the most CCTV'd Country in the World, and the speed cameras, and the traffic, and the overcrowding due to all the asylum seekers, and the declining NHS, and the privitisation of rail that has made it almost ridiculous to travel by train most of the time... Ok, ok, there is a lot I miss, but not enough to move back just yet! Anyway, back on topic, the best way to meet any celebrity is to usually hang out by where the buses come in either before or after the concert. If they feel like coming out they will. However, Coldplay have practically done a runner on every show this tour, so it's unlikely that would work  You could also find out what hotel they are staying in and place yourself in the lobby in a timely manner, and voila!
  16. YAY! The three of us should get an all expenses paid trip to Wembley for our amazing guessing skills!! What do you say Ian? :sneaky: :D
  17. LOL, well it is unfortunate that it is really more fun to visit than to live, which is one of the reasons I left... I miss a lot of things though. I might move back sometime when I'm rich
  18. HA! AND I won guessing the # of pages of this thread at the end of the live blog!!! Woohoo! Coldplay karma today for me!!! :smug: 141-150 (WINNERS! Juanma8, maria_shiver, mrman78)
  19. HOLY CRAP!!!! Anchorman updated one of the original posts in which I emailed requesting a pic from the back of the stadium and he included my name!!!! He posted the original right after I emailed and I thought I was too late, but he then updated it to include my name!! 20.13: This is how it looks from the very, very back (as requested by Marcus). Was it worth the Everest-like walk up there? We'll let you be the judge of that... This was my email: "Can you please take a picture from the very back of the stadium (like you did in Toronto) to show how big it is? Thanks, you are the best! Marcus" AHH! Soooooo happy! I'm on the Coldplay site!!!:dance:
  20. omg, I just asked him to post a pic from the very back... damn, I guess I was too late... or maybe he did listen, lol...
