I actually like "What If" quite a bit, and it's not nearly as bad as some other Coldplay songs I know. 2. See, that's the thing. If the synths were used well, I'd be OK with that. However, Coldplay have shown that they lack those sorts of skills throughout the entire album. I understand completely. Just because critics like it doesn't mean we have to.
