  1. :awesome: I heard them on the mixtape Grace made me, and it was one of my faves. Thanks for the album news! I'll definitely look into that.
  2. ^ I'll add you to the list. bee_panda, have you made a decision yet?

This thread  Hi, Erick. I'm Violet. I'm a Muser, and I love your avatar. /completely irrelevant fangirl comment.
  4. ^ Actually, that brings me to another point that I feel like I should bring up. We've had a few occasions where people have received tapes, not liked them, and said things they probably shouldn't have. I would like to ask that everyone please be respectful when reviewing tapes. You can say things things aren't to your taste or that you don't like them, but please don't go so far as to bash the music and mock people's music tastes. People work hard on these things, and it's not fair for them to have to listen to rude comments for it.
  5. Yes, you should. If people ignore you, I will kick them in the shins. :D
  6. I should've mentioned this in the first post, but I might as well say it now. There have been past exchanges when there has been a rule enstated that you had to have so many posts before you could participate in the exchange. The reason for that was because, generally speaking, it was the new members who neglected to submit tapes, which made things more difficult than they should have been. I could have kept that rule if I wanted to, but because I'm a nice person, I've decided to scratch that rule for this exchange. Having said that, however, I expect everyone who has signed up to submit a tape. If tapes aren't turned in, not only will this probably cause the rule to be put into place again, it could become stricter. It could also result in your expulsion from participation in future exchanges, especially if you're a repeat offender. Anyway, I'm glad to see all the new faces who have decided to participate, and I hope everyone has a great experience with the exchange. :D
  7. Char, let it go. There's no point anymore.
  8. You're right, Emma. Nick's problems are way more important than the issue that took place and exploded within this thread. Am I sorry this situation happened (again)? Yes. Am I sorry it took place here out of all places? Yes. Am I sorry for what I said to Mark? If I'm honest with myself, I can't say I am. I felt like it needed to be said, and I explained why throughout my posts in this thread. It's apparent that he's not going to listen to anything anyone has said, so I'm pretty much done with the whole thing now. Hopefully, everyone else will feel the same way. I'll try my best to stay out of things in the future (like I usually do).
  9. And I wasn't? Anything I said in this thread was in response to something else someone said.
  10. :freak: I can't believe you. I mean, really. What ground is there to concede? You're the one being dismissive, NOT me. You are just saying things that don't make sense and don't relate to anything to any topic that has been brought up in this thread.
  11. Bingo. I think that's exaggerating somewhat, but seeing as they appear to bother you so much, I've now removed them. Satisfied? It wouldn't achieve anything, and would probably contravene board rules in some way by "inflaming" things. I'm amazed you don't remember any of it, but you'll just have to take my word for it. What's happened in the past should stay there, anyway, as it isn't relevant to anything that's happening now. It should be possible to move on and let bygones be bygones. I'm pretty sure if it were that "clearly implied," more people would have noticed it. However, it seems you're the only one who sees it that way. I wonder why...? Um, no, it's not. It's not the smileys that were that bothersome, so much as how they were used and what they themselves implied in terms of their usage. You simply removing smileys from a post doesn't change the fact that they were there at one point, nor does it remove the intent that you had when you used them. See, I knew you were going to use some sort of excuse, because you rarely prove any point you try to make. Others have proved their points; you should be able to as well. Your word is hardly sufficient enough to bolster anything. Oh, and questioning my memory by claiming I don't remember anything doesn't help your case at all.
  12. Say WHAT? I know I said a lot of things, but that definitely wasn't one of them. I don't see how me pointing out things that you have done equates to accusing you of adopting a "superior tone," whatever the hell that means. I don't even see how you can make an assumption of that sort purely based on what I said. It's obvious you didn't pay sufficient attention to much of anything I've tried to say. I don't know why I even try, given I already know you won't listen. If you hear anything that you don't like, you dismiss it as something juvenile, rude, or irrelevant. If you REALLY want to know the definition of a post with a superior tone, look at your huge multi-quote post to Christina with wink smileys posted after almost every reply. The content of your message made your "points" clear enough. The use of your smileys are snide, rude, and unnecessary. Actually, no you can't, because I never said anything about confining conversations to PMs. As I have clearly shown in this thread, I have no problem talking in public about any qualms I have with people. I'd prefer not to, but as I mentioned, I felt the need to say these things after having kept quiet about it for almost 2 1/2 years and after much observation on much of the things that have happened here. At any rate, once again, you make no sense. If you can back up your comments with evidence, then by all means, do it. In a discussion like this, you can't seriously expect to make comments like that without any sort of proof.

She never said you wished her any harm. She merely pointed out how your reaction is so contradictory to other things you've said about her. I'll use a thread of yours as an example. http://coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59192 The first post on the second page: ...Yeah.
  14. Thanks for the sticky, Rudykins. I'll go ahead and add you to the list.
  15. Yeah, I know. I just wish it were that easy. Heh.
  16. There's not really a time limit as far as the reviews go, y'know. Sure, it's nice to have them sooner, but it's not required. I understand people have lives outside of the forum, and I'm sure the others do, too. It's OK, guys. If all else fails, we can always have other people review the tapes like we've always had. There are several people here (myself included) who are more than willing to do that sort of thing. Are you sure you want to participate, Rudy? I don't want you to feel pressured to do it if you don't want to.
  17. Why couldn't I have been that concise?
  18. Rudy, if I say your explanation for your late review is acceptable, will you sign up? I'd love to have you participate, and I don't think your review being a tad late should disqualify you.
  19. Oh, snap. This ended up longer than even I thought it would be. Here goes nothing. OK, let’s see. You’re talking about amicably talking to people in PM about problems they may have with you, and yet it’s perfectly acceptable for you to call out other people pubically because, in your mind, other people do? Other people doing whatever you think they’re doing doesn’t give you the license to do it. At any rate, I don’t recall much anything that Christina has said that could be regarded as “nasty.” She talked in a later post about what she actually means and why, so I’m just going to leave that alone. No one would’ve said anything about it had YOU not started the lecturing first. Y’know, the comment about how people shouldn’t bash Gwyneth for trivial reasons. YOU started this. I’m sorry you interpret criticism about your hypocrisy (which is completely true, BTW) as a lecture. It’s not a lecture, so much as an observation. Oh, and about that comment about me having cake and eating it, too: HAHAHA. I’m not the one who’s even trying. OK. I honestly don’t see how someone supplementing my point about how you bash artists and me acknowledging her by using the term “validating” can be interpreted as a comment with a “superior” connotation. I don’t try to be better than anyone else, because I’m not everyone else. I’m me; the best I can try to do is to better myself, which is a constant process. That’s not really important to the matter at hand, but I thought you should know my thought process so you could see how wrong you are about whatever “superior” attitudes I might have. Well, guess what? I can’t control what other people do. Yeah, some people may have said more than they needed to say, but generally, it wasn’t offensive, and some of it was in an attempt to explain to others why they felt a certain way. You can only talk about something in so many ways before you end up repeating yourself. At any rate, they’re not like the comments that you have made about some people, so YOU don’t have the right to lecture THEM about any of those things, now, do you? But you don’t. This issue comes up again and again. If you really want to talk to people about that, talk to some of the Coldplay fangirls and fanboys who get riled up over something one of us says that’s not even mean-or would you not do that because it’s Coldplay and they have the right to feel like they want and it’s not fair to them? Apparently you haven’t; otherwise, you wouldn’t call it “piss-taking.” See, you just contradicted yourself right there, calling for equality on Coldplay. You wouldn’t continuously use them as an example if it didn’t matter to you. Oh, and the “Coldplay forum” card doesn’t apply here, because this whole issue is about so much more than that. But making those insulting comments in an attempt to insult/degrade and artist/fans is equally wrong. Well, you’re the one who started the finger-pointing, so you opened that can of worms. Mark, you wouldn’t know what “playing fairly” is if it was in the form of a snake and it bit you on the nose. I’ve had discussions with you about various things, and for the most part, you either twist words around to the point where it’s nothing like the point that was made, you accuse people of some sort of thing that they haven’t done (e.g. that comment you made earlier about my superiority, which is still flat out wrong), or you ignore it entirely, usually talking about how “irrelevant” something is or dismissing it with one of your many horribly unfunny puns. See, there you go again. “Making fun.” I haven’t really seen much of that around here. At least, not as much as you’re making it out to be. BUT YOU DON’T, MARK. You seriously just barge into threads making needless comments, which have people going, “How in the world does this relate to what we’re talking to?,” and when people point it out (or other similar things that you’ve done on the forum), that’s when you get all defensive and start posting even more things, which gets a stupid amount of people involved because sometimes, things you say are pretty ridiculous. LOL, no. That’s not it at all. I don’t see how pointing out something that many people see is a form of “attack.” Very well put, Emma. The only reason why I started out this huge post is because Mark finally said something that broke the straw on the camel’s back, and after not having said anything for so long, I feel the need to say it now. I’m generally very good at staying out of things, but I just can’t anymore. Like you said, “People can only ignore shit for so long.” It’s not because people don’t like you. It’s because you do things that make people notice and do those sorts of things. Maybe if you stopped making comments that almost seem like you want to piss people off, people might leave you alone. As I mentioned to you in a conversation we once had, there’s a difference between “satire” and just being plain rude, which is what you seem to do sometimes. HAHA, glad you brought the Amy Winehouse thing up. Lore had mentioned your hypocrisy in that matter, too, given the names you used to call her. I remember the news threads you used to post about her drug problems, and you weren’t nearly as charitable in those threads as you were in her RIP thread. Christina, I love you. To end all this, I’ll make something clear. Mark, I don’t like you. I don’t like some of the stuff you say. I don’t like your excessive use of the same smileys, and I definitely hate the overuse of puns. However, I have tried my very best to be as civil with you as possible. After all this, though, I feel like I had to say these things to you. I’m tired of your crap, and I’m sure there are others who feel the same way. I’m not gonna sit here and let you talk to me or my friends in that way. If this post here gets me banned, so be it. I would hope it wouldn’t, given I haven’t called you any nasty sort of names, my use of expletives was very limited, and I haven’t said anything to you that hasn’t been said by other people already. However, if that ends up being the case, I can at least be satisfied that I finally got all this off my chest.
  20. In response to the vast amount of slander that has been pubically made against me by Mark, I'm in the midst of preparing a huge multi-quote response that I feel like I really need to say. This is going to take a while-a LONG while. I would like to tell everyone to be prepared and apologize in advance to anyone who this might offend-with the exception of Mark, of course, because it seems that anything I say to him is offensive, so it really wouldn't matter, anyway.

    Well said.
  22. That's wonderful news, Ainsley. I hope justice is served on behalf of all those lost because of his horrendous actions.

Seeing as we all die eventually, I don't see how saying someone "deserves to die" makes any sense.
