The 9th Mixtape Exchange
August 29th. Band camp is the week before. No, you don't HAVE to. I can't get myself to say "No," however. I guess for me, it's become a tradition for me to participate in all of these exchanges. It brings people closer and introduces people to things they wouldn't otherwise listen to, and it's a beautiful thing.

EYPers, MUNers?
I did Model UN when I was in the 6th grade. I was part of the Russian Federation. It was very interesting. It was also quite stressful. D:

The 9th Mixtape Exchange
Maybe what we could do is schedule MTE 10 before the beginning of school, then put off MTE 11 until Christmas break?
-
The 9th Mixtape Exchange
No, I understand. Part of me feels the same way. It's nice doing them this close for a change, but I think if it keeps going on like this, they'll lose their charm. We should probably have MTE 10 in the end of July/beginning of August, then perhaps take a break for a while. I know a lot of us will be too busy to think about tapes after that, anyway.

The 9th Mixtape Exchange
You guys make a point. The end of August will be busy for me due to marching band camp, and I have additional obligations because I'm a part of leadership and whatnot. What do you guys think of the end of July?

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Yeah, and I believe Kate said she had strong feelings that it was a girl, so maybe they didn't think of boy names?

According to what I've read online, they still haven't even decided on a name yet. Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy "still choosing baby name"

The 9th Mixtape Exchange
I do want to give ourselves ample time to rest between exchanges. With all the extra reviews I did, I feel as if I'm just finishing up with this last one. I guess we could wait a couple of weeks, then see how it goes from there.

NOOOOO. :bigcry: Yeah, it's moot. He jokes like that with people all the time. I think it's overrated, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

2011 Albums Worth Listening To
I finally gave a good listen to "Suck It and See" by Arctic Monkeys. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, given some of the hype that it got here. It's not bad. I just thought it lacked a bit of punch. Maybe the fact that I love "Favourite Worst Nightmare" sheds some light on the situation. So yeah.

It's funny you say that. I feel the exact opposite. I would even go as far as to say that I think it's by far their worst song.

Bon Iver
I listened to LP2 the other day. It's different, and I like it. I like "For Emma, Forever Ago" better, though. "For Emma" has this warmth and intimacy about it that I just love, and I felt that was missing from the new album. Maybe my opinion will change as I listen to it more, but that's how I feel right now.

2011 Albums Worth Listening To
I've been stuck on "w h o k i l l" by tUnE-yArDs for the past few days. True story. Also, "In Light" by Givers is pretty good. It's a nice little debut. They're slightly reminiscent of Vampire Weekend, as they have similar vibes. That's not to say they sound like them, because they don't.
