  1. Yeah, from what I was told, it didn't get too much publicity.
  2. [ame= ] [/ame] Someone played this in the music lobby on Tuesday. I LOL'd super hard.
  3. ^^ Thank you for reminding me: If anyone would like a second opinion on their tapes, I'd be more than happy to listen to it and tell you what I think. I already have a good chunk of them from the first links that were posted. :nice: ^ Rudy, you're giving your partner a heart attack right now, haha.
  4. I've been on this forum for over two years, spending much of my time in the WoM. The more you surround yourself with other people and observe their music tastes, the easier it is to tell these sorts of things. Like I said, I'm highly observant.
  5. A piece for my funeral, huh? Well, I can't seem to find a recording on YouTube, but as some sort of interlude, I'd definitely have "London Hymn" by Josh Groban played. It consists of a Latin phrase, which translates into English as, "May the restless dead find sleep, and may the light of our remembering guide them to an everlasting peace."
  6. ^^ I have a very strong feeling I know who made your tape.
  7. ^ Yeah, definitely not. I had a guy break up with me over Yahoo! Messenger. I wasn't too thrilled about that. /horrible understatement. Anyway. On topic. I just found out that this book exists. Apparently, I've been living under a rock in terms of the development of this series. Not only have I not read this book, but I also just found out there's an 8th book in the works. :freak:
  8. I think some people are misinterpreting my question. Let me clarify something. I didn't mean "stop listening" as in actually disliking a band. That in itself is completely different. I mean literally just not listening to something anymore. With my situation, it's not as if I hate the artist. I actually still value them because I think they're good musicians. It's just that I get reminded of her when I listen to them, and because of who she really is, I don't want to be reminded of her, and that's why I stopped. Hopefully, that makes more sense.
  9. [ame= ] [/ame] I want this to be my first dance. Is it a dance number? Not really. Is it cheesy? Probably. Do the lyrics depict perfectly what I would think of someone I loved enough to marry? Absolutely.
  10. I'm not meaning to intrude, Greg, but I'm pretty sure that song's called "Flat of the Blade."
  11. I'm fine with it not being in the competition. Based on what I've read from two of the threads, my list is sufficiently different.
  12. As I was reading through Alexa's thread about emotional attachment to music you don't listen to anymore, I was actually reminded of something different. My ex-best friend became my best friend through a specific artist, and due to a lot of things, we pretty much don't talk to each other anymore. We aren't friends of any sort. Because of that, it's hard for me to listen to them, and I haven't in a long time. Has this sort of thing ever happened to you? Have you ever had music-a song, an album, an artist-that reminded you of someone else, but had that relationship fall apart, causing you to not want to listen to it anymore?
  13. Yeah, I knew this wasn't gonna happen. BAHAHAHA. It's OK, though; I'll just look at everyone else's. You guys know more than I do, anyway. :nice:
  14. Nice cover! I can't wait for this one.
  15. [ame= ] [/ame] It's. So. Good. Will I stop playing this today? Can't stop, won't stop. :bomb:
  16. If I can manage to get my friend to let me use her camera, I think I might do one.
  17. :curtain: "The Butcher." I like it. A lot. :wacky: That is all.
  18. Violet replied to Italian Plastic's topic in The Lounge
^ How bad is it that I LOL'd at that?
  19. Easter Break starts after class today. HELL YES.
  20. OK, that works. I don't feel so bad now. Haha. :wacky:
  21. Lore, would you stop worrying? You have excellent taste.
  22. Does anyone else listen to Lupe Fiasco? Anyone? You know, Eddie, I'm glad you made this thread. My knowledge in this genre is lacking, and I could use a push in that direction.
  23. I could have it in sometime tomorrow, if it so suits you. I'd rather you not have to extend it because of me. :embarrassed:
  24. Foster the People! Nice. Oh, and we used the same Civil Twilgiht song. Teehee. :wacky: NONONO, I didn't say that. I'm just very observant. I'm sorry. Duly noted on Stornoway. :nice: O RLY? You have friends in high places? I'm defintiely looking out for both of those albums. :D Awww, thanks. Oh. I need to mention this to you. I think it's important. That Strokes song. "Machu Picchu." I love it like a druggie loves crack. I'm not even kidding. I've been playing it non-stop since I got home last night. I think I love The Strokes now. I owe you. Big time. New Goldheart Assembly single? HELL YES. -downloads- Max Richter.
