The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
The two things I'm really mad about as far as polls right now: 1. Mumford & Sons losing to Tokio Hotel. Obviously. Mumford & Sons are too great, and Tokio Hotel...ick. Bill Kaulitz freaks me out. :bigcry: AND 2. Arcade Fire losing to Sum 41. SUM 41, GUYS. I didn't even know these guys were still making music. Arcade Fire is a #1 seed. For them to lose to Sum 41 would arguably the biggest mistake MTV Nation could ever make.

^ Called it. ...I kid. Yeah, I know. There were some of them where I wouldn't care either way, so some of my bracket is kinda, "Meh." Some of these poll results so far, though are making me upset. Muse is good for now, but others that I have picked that I actually cared about...not so much.

Speaking of brackets, there's also a Musical March Madness taking place on MTV. Why does this apply to you Musers? Muse is the #2 seed in the South division. You need to vote for them to ensure that they at least get far, if not win the whole thing. (Which is exactly what I have happening in my dream bracket.) In the first round, they're facing Cobra Starship. Muse is winning at the moment, but you never know what could happen. You should go here to vote for Muse.

True that, man. I mean, I wasn't as bothered about that, given that I like them both a lot, but "Dead Star" is amazing. It shouldn't have been knocked out so early. :disappointed: Haha, awwwww. It's OK. I'm not judging. I actually like "The Small Print" very much. I just like "Unintended" a smidge more. YAY. Someone agrees. :awesome: Oh, I see. Yeah, it's hard to not choose a song you have a personal connection to. OMG, I KNOW. :freak: That's like asking me which arm I would like amputated. It's impossible. "Uno" is actually one of my least favorite Muse songs ever, so it wasn't that hard for me. -waits for stunned looks from fellow Musers- Yeah, I know. "Sunburn" is too much of a classic with hardcore Musers for it to not win. :disappointed: OMIGOD YES.

MTV's Musical March Madness // COLDPLAY V SUM41 (2nd round - VOTE VOTE VOTE!)
^ I don't mean to be rude, but that's a silly question. If Cake weren't a musical group/person of some sort, they wouldn't be placed in the bracket, now, would they?

SOS.....I needs suggestions. HALP MEH
Oh, did I spell your name wrong? I'm terribly sorry! I'm used to spelling it that way on CPing because that's how Kelsie's (ceolsige's) name is spelled. I'll remember that you're -ey and she is -ie. Anyway, in terms of heartfelt songs, I always thought this one was cute: [ame= ] [/ame]

OK, so I was going to try to make my own bracket. IT'S WAY TOO HARD. I CAN'T. :bigcry: With that being said, I'm going to keep a hard copy bracket of what goes on and go from there. Here's what I didn't like about the results of Round 2: 1. "Sunburn" beating "Hoodoo." Yeah, "Sunburn" is a classic, but "Hoodoo" is so beautiful and completely underrated. I love "Hoodoo" to pieces. 2. "New Born" beating "Escape." Same reasoning as #1. I know, I know. "New Born" is awesome. It's just that "Escape" is arguably my favorite track on "Showbiz." Wolsty and I share that view. 3. "The Small Print" beating "Unintened." WHAT THE HELL, GUYS. :wreck: 4. Some of the match-ups for Round 1 going into Round 2 were torturous. USoE vs. MoTP? Awful. RBS vs. ToaDE? Torturous. I hated that one SO BLOODY MUCH. :bigcry: 5. And now, going into Round 3, it gets even harder. "Megalomania" vs. "Apocalypse Please?" "Hysteria" vs. "Glorious?" ARE YOU SERIOUS? :wreck: Mkay. I'm done. For now.

This thread is full of LOLz. Congratulations, Kelsie! It seems you have a song picked now, so I don't really know how to contribute to the thread anymore. :anxious:

GUIZE. I don't know if any of you watch "American Idol." But maybe you should. MATT WAS THERE. Ryan Seacrest was talking to one of the contestants (James, I believe), and he asked him, "Are you a Kate Hudson fan?" James said, "Yeah, I like her" or something like that. Anyway, they put the camera on Kate. Her son Ryder was with her, and Matt was sitting to her left. This is what happened: Me: -GAAAAASP!- Matt Bellamy! :cheesy: :dazzled: Mom & Dad: :inquisitive: ... -carries on with life- Me: :dazzled: :wacky: LOL. :awesome:

Noah And The Whale
OK, so I haven't given the new album a proper listen yet, but I did skim through a few of the tracks. I like it. A lot. :wacky: While I realize it's different, it's a wonderful kind of different. I'll take a proper listen sometime within the next few days. :nice:

Hurts
Oh, if I could, I would. You can count on that. Either way, I hope you have an amazing time. :wacky: Oh wait. I'd still be the old one. :disappointed:

2011 Albums Worth Listening To
^^ Yeah, that's kinda how I feel. I haven't been a fan for as long as a lot of everyone else here, but I know how long people have waited, and I don't think people like to think that 8 tracks (that are, in my opinion, mediocre, given what I know Radiohead can do) is the result of a 3-4 year period between IR and TKoL. That's how I see it, anyway.

Hurts
...Wait, Kelly's getting to see Hurts AND The National? At Latitude? ... WHY OH WHY WAS I NOT MADE TO BE ENGLISH? :bigcry:
-
Elbow
...The Pie-Eater?
-
THE VACCINES
...Wait, I thought that album didn't come out until the end of the month. ... This is a most pleasant surprise. :cheesy: I'll have to remind myself to pick it up sometime soon.

2011 Albums Worth Listening To
Oh, OK. I agree with that, then, given I had higher expectations for both "Ritual" and "The King of Limbs." I don't know too many people who weren't at least somewhat disappointed by TKoL, honestly.
