Coldplay

These two points are contradictory to me. How can you unify and include music if you're frowning upon mainstream music? The thing is, ~20 years ago, there were people who thought Blur and Oasis were mediocre chart music and yearned for music made 20 years before then. And it's just a cycle that goes on and on and on. It's a whole culture in the musical world to look at the past with rose-colored glasses and it really sucks because it means that very, very few people can actually open themselves up to all kind of music without any bias. I'm not saying you're not a 'real' music lover if you don't like Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, etc. but to disregard popular music as a whole is insanity. I hope it doesn't look like I'm antagonizing you or anything, I'm really not :sad: Just a heads-up: if someone is saying something that irritates you, just ignore them. Completely ignore them. It has a greater effect than riling both sides up (though this was a pretty funny read) I'm just gonna comment on this though because it's too good to be true: You do realize you're on a Coldplay fansite, right?

Good idea for a thread! I love reading about what people do here outside of Coldplaying. If you would've asked me last year, I would've had school from 7am-7pm (sometimes 'til 10pm) because I was arrogant enough to believe I could do all that. Never again. :sad: Anyway, I have Math (Pre-Calc), English, Gym, Modern World History, and Exploring Computer Science every day in school, as well as Biochemistry on Monday-Tuesday and Marine Science on Wednesday-Friday and Introduction to Engineering Mondays and Wednesdays at my local junior college. :smiley:

I agree with that. :nod: But it's one of my pet peeves when people say modern music is garbage (or rubbish) when there has always been crap in the charts, no matter what decade you go to. It's usually a comparison between some well-known and successful band which defined a decade and some poppy one-hit wonder on the radio a few weeks ago and it's biased and unfair. :disappointed: Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. :disappointed:

I don't know about you, but I feel uncomfortable a lot more times out of the day than happy. For me, it was my family leaving me alone to run their store, I make a million mistakes and I look unprofessional and the customers give me these impatient glares and I make the store look bad :disappointed: EDIT: Making this thread, perhaps!
