:o anyway OP, you care too much about image. First of all, mocking Lady Gaga and Bieber is very typical of REAL MUSIC LOVERSSSS who dismiss pop music because it's 'cool' to do so. Even if you genuinely don't like Bieber and Gaga, who cares about Coldplay's image? Do you listen to music because it's beautiful or because 'cool' people approve of it? Even if Coldplay goes out and does something absolutely stupid, you should still listen to Coldplay if you like them, because nothing changed with their music. The whole 'selling out' concept has been around forever and probably will be around as long as there's music. 'Ridiculous' as it is, there's nothing imo that can be done.

It must be more in the UK, because I think I've only seen it once or twice in my life and it still seemed very strange to me. But after reading this it seems fair.
