I don't know, but I wouldn't trust a Coldplay fan with any medical problem I had I don't know, I think it's just that other people don't really talk much about their jobs, I guess a more accurate thing to say would be "most of the people who talk about their job are med students" ...? If I worked a boring office job I wouldn't talk about it all the time
  2. Coldplay replied to Tash's topic in Coldplaying.com
Woah, we have reps on the forum now. This is really cool, thanks Ian.
  3. Yes, I realize now that I was acting really insensitive. It's mainly because I was genuinely scared of being homeless/losing our main income. I think most of my family's got it pretty bad, but my sister is the most depressed, I agree with you. She's not always down, maybe that's why I overlooked it and I'm sorry. I would never talk to her like this, I just wanted a place to vent and this was the most convenient because I don't really have anyone IRL to share my problems with and this would give me the quickest feedback. Thanks for being so nice to me and for the advice :) I'll edit out the first posts for now, don't really like angry me.
  4. On the other side of the coin, there are arrogant Americans, e.g. tourists who travel and expect people to speak English flawlessly for them when they don't even bother to say hello in their native tongue. They are rare but they do exist. I don't know what to say about that. I'm sure there are assholes of every nationality. :uhoh2:
  5. Rave about Britain as much as you want, but don't throw your country in the trash, you don't know how lucky you are to live here. I only got my U.S. citizenship recently, I couldn't imagine my life if I wasn't living here. I wasn't taught this, if anything I was conditioned to hate America, that it's boring and arrogant and full of no culture (as seen by this thread). If you're proud of being American, you're called a hillbilly or a bigot. I've poked fun at America before, but I'm really gonna tone it down now, because it seems like some people don't have one good thing to say about their country anymore. Not exclusively in this thread, but people my age in general. If you hate the U.S. so much, go live in a country where your basic human rights are denied, where newborns are murdered or left at the side of the road, where you can't find a job so you have to sell your body for food. I know you might be joking, but 'hate' is a terribly strong word. British people are... people, the same as any other kind of people. They have their fair share of wonderful people and scumbags, just like we do. Don't know why you're putting them on a pedestal... I'm a lover of British music and TV too, who isn't, but this is just...wow. /rant
  6. I see what you did there

  8. I thought Reilly was making fun of my views on how people treat relationships, when he was actually agreeing with them $2
  9. Well I'm gonna be homeless within the next few weeks
  10. Coldplay replied to Brent's topic in The Lounge
hahaha But you can send messages to people if you are not friends. Still, Cobalt's got a point; Brent, why don't you block her? Because if you block her, you'd be done with her (on Facebook), plus there's still a chance that you can get away with "I deleted my account" if you were too afraid to say. But if you de-friend her, it's 100% certain to her that you did it, and you still receive the messages. Doesn't add up... EDIT: my bad I'm sorry you have to go through that then  I really think you are being threatened, is there anything else the police can do?
  11. Everyone will kiss your ass if you're British, i.e. this thread
  12. Semi-update: My mom has found a new place to run her store that's about the same size and price as the place she rents now. She's making a deal with the landlord of that place. Business is pretty good lately and I think in a few years we'll all have the money to work things out. Nobody's fighting and things are back to the way they are. Thanks for your replies :)
  13. Coldplay replied to Brent's topic in The Lounge
What does 'for lent' mean? EDIT: oh my
  14. I haven't listened to Apparatjik since their debut album, and Ferreting (that is their best song imo) What is the second album like? Should I give it a chance or skip over it? Because We Are Here had some nice songs but the majority of it was bland for me (sorry!) Thanks
  15. Parkdale, The Twist, Collect Call, The Police and the Private, those are all brilliant songs But you should give their whole discography a chance :wacky: Metric is one of the few bands where their albums aren't just full of boring filler songs, I think
  16. EDIT: nah prefer not to post pics of myself on here
  17. You're beautiful! And there's nothing wrong with braces
  18. Coldplay replied to a post in a topic in The Lounge
What the hell are you all timing?
  19. Aww yeah I'm sorry, I heard you got some VMs about it or something, that's too much hahaha I'm a grammar/spelling Nazi, but I'm fine with people who speak English as their second language so that's why it looked like I kinda snapped at you
  20. This house right across from me is always covered in caution tape and there's a different guy pulled out of there screaming in handcuffs every few months, I heard a gunshot last time. I think it's a rather cheap house but nobody wants to rent it. :anxious: Didn't really help with the depressing thing but yeah
  21. you actually did it 100 times though jshajdhsjhj;
  22. This sounds good, but rather unlikely, because if just 10-15 people is a lot then I think it will end up one of the dead sections that everyone overlooks Maybe, though! Let's give it a try. I'm sorry, I had to leave at the last one too. I was on a crappy computer and it nearly crashed. But the sound was rather tinny and cacophonic, I don't know what site we're supposed to use for this but we should definitely find one that doesn't require listening to the host's mic while they play it from Youtube.
  23. Yes, that is what they're going for Brent I'm saying that it's not really pleasurable for me
  24. Oh god you guys are so brave I'm terrified of rollercoasters I like having the feeling that I'm not gonna fall out of my chair and plunge to my death :anxious:
  25. Erm...welcome back
