  1. heh...yeah. there's always the good ol' Internet... :P
  2. unfortunately, this poor student doesn't have access to Sky One...just the freebie channels. :disappointed:
  3. to be honest, even if i stay home, i need to seriously concentrate on my assignments...3 in total & all i haven't really gotten around to doing much work on. :uhoh: why the hell did i not just stay in my comfort zone of English & the Arts??? :dead:
  4. maybe in a few hundred years when the weather goes topsy turvy, we might... :disappointed: ...but in the meantime, pls support our Malaysian national ice hockey team!!! :D (tho they are only actively competing regionally, as far as i know)
  5. oooh...i nearly forgot already about their appearance in the show!!! :) ...tho i don't really know how long it'll be before it's shown here in the UK. :\
  6. actually...i'd disagree with the "Snore Patrol" comment there. my little sis (not me!) tends to complain that Coldplay are the snore inducing band, i.e. most of their songs make her sleepy, particularly pre VLV stuff. she has a bit more interest in Snow Patrol & when i play their songs so far, she doesn't have the same complaint. :P admittedly, i'm biased towards Snow Patrol, since i like their stuff a lot, but i think Gary's quote about Coldplay & U2 being in a whole different league above them is right & he's right to say his band need more hits to be even near that league. ....but it's great that they have that target in mind. shows they aren't just sitting back now that they've got a great gig as last minute headliners at the V Festival & with the Up To Now compilation out, imo.
  7. i recall seeing an article in The Guardian's website that they did achieve their goal. the song is indeed the #1 song for X'mas...
  8. that's my plan for NYE!!! *lol* go, boring me... :P
  9. mine crashes rarely, but sometimes just won't sync & the only way to get it working again is to allow iTunes to restore it to factory settings & then re-sync everything back in. bloody annoying. & the only way to get it to let iTunes to restore when the sync fails, is to press & hold the middle button & the menu (or was it the play/pause?) buttons down until some old school looking icon comes up to say something about it being in "hard disk mode". bloody annoying...but at least it's not dying on me, i guess. :(
  10. look forward to them!!! & have a blast at the gigs!!!
  11. hello, fellow Malaysian!!! :D & "YAY!!!" for you!!! more Malaysians need to get to know the brilliance that is Snow Patrol, imo...as in beyond "that 'Grey's Anatomy' song"...haha as Ilione has said, 'Up To Now' is a good start. i'm not sure what the RRP for it is going to be, but i do know that there's a "Malaysian Edition" & the standard UK edition with only the 2 audio CDs. anyway, that's a good start already since the album covers the full spectrum of their career so far. otherwise, if you really want to listen to their albums beyond 'Up To Now', check out the Rock Corner shops around town. look for the Dutch 2-in-1 editions. there is one that bundles both 'Final Straw' & 'Eyes Open' together for a decent price. ;) @guills : long time no see! & that's cute that you had that song stuck in your head today...heh :wacky:
  12. this indie (well, it looks & feels rather indie anyway) "rockumentary" looks pretty interesting... hope i can somehow watch it here in UK...TAPAU pls? :P http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=376254710102 (it's a FB video link) proof that Malaysia does have decent musical talents lurking around. :) i like the song by the 1st guy. but i think the singer from Khottal needs to work on his singing still. but i loved the melody of the song the band was playing.
  13. nice!!! :D you gonna be in the pits for both? cos that's where the real fun is...
  14. wow...that's interesting. never knew that could happen. :stunned:
  15. yeah! me too! :D & i have a friend back in Malaysia who loves Ice Hockey - watching & playing it. ...what's it with us Malaysians & a love for winter sports? hahaha :P but i think i kinda prefer the Winter X Games to just the usual Winter Olympics stuff...
  16. you get quesy watching 3D stuff, Kite?
  17. don't feel too bad about this. technically, Up To Now hasn't been released yet for your side of the world. it's only released in Malaysia (& hence, i assume this applies to Singapore & Indonesia also) in December. & apparently what'll be brought in will be the "UK limited edition"...whatever that means. fairly sure it's NOT the fan edition & very likely is the deluxe edition with the DVD. yay!!! so your very (un)subtle hints to the hubby worked then!!! looks like it's a Merry Christmas for you...heh  i love how the live concert stuff on the DVD are full of bromance-y moments between Gary & Nathan...especially at the festivals! :laugh3: my fave is the Up To Now docu cos i think there's a great story there about the band & their journey "up to now". & in the booklet for the SP.com "fan edition", there's stuff written by Gary on the 1st page about how the name "Snow Patrol" came about & a short paragraph each on how he met each of the current band members, which i think ties in real nicely with the docu. @merryberry9 : just say yes & go get it...it's worth it. ;)
  18. thanks for that vid & the pix! :D ....& Tom's gone Viva again with his jacket choice, i see. heh can't wait for the new album...esp. with Nirvana as an influence! :)
  19. yeah, the Reworked Tour version of Starfighter Pilot sounds great! :) I did a "SQUEEE!!!" watching the bits of the music video (never seen it before). I have the same LEGO X-Wing Starfighter as the one that appears in it! I like SP even more now! haha :D
  20. awww...poor you, johkuji! i hate it when i know what the X'mas present is & i can't have it til X'mas day even if it's already in the house. :bomb: @jenflor : yes, ma'am!!! *turns volume to max* :D stumbled on this video interview yesterday & was all "awww..." at a very very young looking & baby faced Gary from way back in 2001. he kinda looks a wee bit too young to be drinking that pint of beer even. :wacky: [ame= ] [/ame]
  21. orrite...will practice on that more. cheers! :)
  22. well, if it's a UK gig you can buy thru ticketmaster.co.uk - that's how i got my ticket for their Wembley Arena gig & that was when i was still in Singapore.
  23. this movie in 3D is awesome!!! :D my fave are the scenes with the floating mountains area. however, story wise, it's good only. got loads of elements of James Cameron's other movies. & the plot's rather predictable...plus a bit on the long side for an action movie.
  24. that bookshelf one is just what i need............when i get a place of my own & one that is more than 1 floor high. :D but i'd be nervous going up the one that's just panels sticking out of the wall. regardless of whether the designer/maker says it can take the weight of a normal human & more or not.
  25. :uhoh: i thought it was fairly noticeable.... *cough* :escaping:
