*sigh* DSLRs are bloody cumbersome to bring around tho...P&S cams are still the most portable. as it is i've got way too many gadgets in my day-to-day bag. what more a DSLR along with all the bits & bobs to fit on to get that great shot.

*lol* nice one... ;) yeah! Muse'll support for the American tour. but in general, U2've got the like a whole list of top bands as their support act! Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Black Eyed Peas even! totally epic... :shocked2: & one day, 20yrs on, Coldplay shall be as epic as U2 too... :P

yeah! sold out w/i hours! :shocked2: & here i was thinking that since i'd be based in Bristol, i could choose between Cardiff or London still. doh!

a rock concert SO ain't a quiet, sit-down affair...even if it's "soft rock". if it was, then it'd be bloody boring. heh :smug: in retrospect, i'd wholeheartedly agree with your friend : best. ever. concert. :D not that i've been to loads of rock concerts, but i've seen Scorpions (yes...them blokes from the 80s-ish. hey, i was really young then...& my dad was really into their songs :embarassed: ), Bon Jovi & matchbox 20 live so far in my life. Coldplay trumps all of them, imo! hehehe tho i do really really really wanna see U2 (my #1 fave band; Coldplay's a close 2nd) live too...i need tix to their 360 tour!!! :guitarist: methinks me parents'd kill me if they knew about my side plans for UK... :wink3:

;) yeah...really bad idea. the sound was pretty decent tho. just that you can't see anything but a colourful blur where the band is. & there were some shots where they didn't look too bad on the cam's viewscreen, but when i see them on my PC, i realise how blurry they are...or the fact that there's no facial features visible on the faces (imagine the band blank faces...like someone's scrubbed away their eyes, ears, mouth). crud. :( & yeah, the merch was ex! i was looking for stickers too, but i'm not sure if they even had that on sale. i got a programme book (like how it's about the size of a vinyl album cover) & t-shirt. i think the books they had in abundance, but the tees were selling like hot cakes! i saw the 1 i wanted, saw there was 1 in my size (the last 1 in S, apparently...by then only left with L or XL for most tees) lying on the table & grabbed it first. the staff manning the merch counter inside the stadium were SO busy that they didn't even have time to get the cash i wanted to pay, let alone entertain those ppl who still wanted to compare sizes! maybe the next time you meet Chris again you can "casually mention" this dearest wish of yours to him....hehe ;) is it in audio format? then you can use Audacity, which is a free audio editor program...i usually use it to edit songs to use as ringtones. all the way from Ipoh! *salute* & you were on your own all the way? i think this chance to watch them live was really cos i'm already living/working in S'pore (away from my parents). else i dunno if i'll ever be given the chance to come down from KL to catch a concert...my parents are the kind that think a girl should not go to a concert alone & must know who else i'm going with, if they were around. :rolleyes:

is your's a normal P&S digicam too? i took so many pix & vids that by the end (even before the encore) my cam was out of batt already. most of my vids were crap (i discovered only then that it's crap at zooming in for vids) & i relied a lot on the digital zoom, but the -ve of using it is pix turn out really grainy & you can't really see the band's faces in a lot of the photos. :(

actually, it was covered by Smash Mouth for the Shrek soundtrack ;) tho it would be interesting to hear a Smashing Pumpkins cover of this boppy ditty...heh

where i'm from, during Buddhist funerals, they don't serve anything BUT vegetarian food. unfortunately for me, vegetarian food doesn't really fill up my tummy & i end up sneaking off for some meat/fish to fill the void...so to speak. so i think i'd make a lousy excuse of a vegetarian/vegan.

hehe...fair enough. that's one of my side plans while in UK too, anyway. ;) on a separate note, cos i don't really know where to post this question, does anyone know of any physical music shops in S'pore that sells the Prospekts March EP on its own? all i see around are the Viva La Vida Prospekts March edition, which i don't really want cos i already have Viva La Vida + i don't really like the cover anyway. petty, i know, but i quite like the Prospekts March cover.

generally moving around isn't possible. the security ppl will make daym sure you don't "wander into" an area you didn't pay to be in. i've been to a concert (not Coldplay's) where some incredibly industrious fans did manage to get into the pit area...which i imagine took a lot of sneaking around & bloody good timing. it was only a small group who got past security. nobody else after that could get through from the seated area to the pit area.

wow! you're going to their gig in London too? super! did you get good tix for that? i seriously was thinking of going for the 18 or 19 Sep 09 gigs too cos i'll be in UK by then (going there to pursue a masters degree...not Coldplay :laugh3: ), but the only tix still available now are like on Level 5 of the massive Wembley Stadium! not that i'm afraid of heights, but bloody hell! at Level 5 i'll probably only see the band 1-inch tall. :\ hoping that there'll be (many) more chances in 2009/2010 to see them & other Brit bands live in UK... *fingers crossed* & i was also told that tix there are generally much cheaper than S'pore or M'sia.

ah....Mraz...now that's a gig i wanted to go for, but missed out on. still ruminating over the Kaiser Chiefs' gig at Fort Canning Park next month...already missed out on the early bird prices. *sigh* nice one. i only pack a humble P&S camera anyway, i just hope it can manage to snap a couple of decent shots. i got some decent shot from last year's F1, so maybe it'll be ok for this too cos i'm kinda far from the stage. *fingers crossed* i take it from your comment on the tees that they're the big ang moh sizings type. darnit. same problem i had with the Matchbox 20 tees...the one i ended up in was biiig for me, so i mostly only wore it at home. which is kinda sad, really.

newbie here...well, more like a lurker, really...since i haven't posted anything til today & i didn't sign up til this week. *shy* anyone here also going solo for this concert? :P got my ticket, but i seem to be the only one amongst my crowd who appreciates live performances & shelling out for it...or Coldplay's brand of music. meh. + this is like my 1st concert since ages ago when i saw Matchbox 20 live at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. so really looking forward to Monday! :D it's been ages since i was last at the Indoor Stadium for anything, so what's the policy like for bags (e.g. small messenger bag) & digicams? & i guess there'll be merch on sale there, so it is very likely going to be a "cash only" thing? definitely wanna get a tour t-shirt, which i do hope they will have on sale...& in my size. (oh, & sorry for the multitude of questions on my 1st virgin post here...pai seh)
