  1. a bit late, but here's the link to the ST letter about the "tepid review" :p http://www.straitstimes.com/vgn-ext-templating/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=e99a95dd4bb60210VgnVCM100000430a0a0aRCRD&vgnextchannel=7ca0634154b4f010VgnVCM100000560a0a0aRCRD & a review of the concert on...ermmm...The Asian Parent website :p:p http://sg.theasianparent.com/articles/coldplay_live_in_singapore_march_23_2009_viva_la_vida
  2. Macs are good...'cept i've changed over to an eeePC now. if only i could stuff a Mac OSX in it & have it running smoothly...
  3. haha...no offense at all. not to me anyway. won't be with the company for much longer. :smug: oooh, that's a cool wallpaper...with lalangs. lol
  4. haha...can can. send some over pls! :D slightly more relaxed now on the cubicle deco. there was a time when i was on leave & i got recalled....of all things, it was to come back to the office to remove some stuff like small soft toys & a small (1/2 A4 size only) poster of Linkin Park's Singapore gig! pfffttt... paiseh cos ppl are wondering who's the 4 Englishmen staring out at them from your screen? :laugh3:
  5. heh...i'd probably do that too, if i had any butterflies. but then my company's rather strict about our cubicles' deco. so maybe not. :\ i just left mine as the concert gig. i've got a 19" screen at work & my boss can actually see my screen from his cubicle wall when he stands...cos he's taaaaaaaall. but my screen at home's a Coldplay wallpaper using images from the Apple ad for Viva La Vida. :D
  6. eh...so maybe it's just as well i didn't go. i'm more into their older stuff from the Definitely, Maybe + What's the Story (Morning Glory) era. not too into their new album other than Falling Down.
  7. lol...daym straight! but, just in case, i'm still gonna hope for a stage with runways... :inquisitive:+:bomb:
  8. maybe it's one of those "no parking except for the owners" type of thing
  9. hmmm....i shiver in anticipation :laugh3:
  10. who knew monobrows could look so hot? :laugh3: the Will banner today looks good at least. weird colour scheme still tho.
  11. heh...if i still remember your Jonny banner right, i think Liam'd know which Jonny you're referring to on it. :p the standing tickets for Oasis actually costs more than the seated ones, right? i get what you mean about ticket pricings & the view. it's really a bummer if the performers are like 1-inch tall or smaller at a gig cos you're like at the far end of the venue. + if it's a big open stadium, these type of venues generally have lousy acoustics no matter how good the sound system so there's also a high likelihood of echoes the further you are from the stage. spoils the music. :(
  12. any chance of a stage design with runways then? or will the karma vibe smilies need to be invoked en mass... :p
  13. wow! still available? tho i think i read in the ST interview at the bottom the comment read that only the cheapest ones were sold out. the rest were still available. & i think the Kaiser Chiefs gig still has tix available...which either means it's also not selling that well or the organisers are trying to cram as many ppl into that area as possible.
  14. i was too slow for the Premiere seats. :( ended up at the $158 section in T40. which was still not too bad, since the stadium isn't that big.
  15. the synopsis on IMDB looks pretty generic & vague. & i'm wondering how it'll all turn out ultimately since it's a Guy Ritchie movie after all. i hope he doesn't muck it up...cos i love the Sherlock Holmes stories. & i wonder how a Coldplay/Chris Martin song for that movie would sound like too. :)
  16. she's got a really weird sense of humour that centres around her... Pai : nah, i wanted to & almost bought tix for it. but in the end i decided to sit it out. it's all standing & i can't take a day off work on that day to go queue for a good spot anyway. but mainly cos i'm broke til my next paycheck comes. :p
  17. 1 of my colleagues noticed my desktop's wallpaper the other day & was like "wah! where is that?" & i told her it's from the Coldplay concert i went to. & she responsed "oh...i thought it was my concert." then she walks off all proud of herself..................... my reaction = (while muttering quietly to myself "don't know who Coldplay are then just own up lah...bloody hell")
  18. i've always felt that Noel's the more wiser & level headed of the 2 brothers. heh but i think it's got to do with ego level also. the Coldplay guys are always putting themselves down, which i find is quite an endearing trait. the Kaiser Chiefs are kinda brash in interviews with Ricky saying they're bigger than Oasis which i'm sure Liam & Noel take as fighting words. but Ricky's another hyper frontman. all that jumping & climbing around the stage & crowd surfing. bet the S'pore gig'll be a blast!
  19. aye...the teeth are kinda scary. then again, the one with Chris with all that tongue-age was kinda weird too. must be the colour scheme...weird colours. 1 of the decapitated Jonny heads looks like he's having some serious panda eyes there...
  20. i like Warning Sign...it's niiiiice. :)
  21. ermmm...isn't the website itself in english? or did you mean a UK-based website? in any case, i do believe you can indeed order abroad from the site that's linked on this thread's 1st page(s).
  22. yeah, i saw that post. the person got their ticket thru ticketline (i think), but mine was from ticketmaster. i need to keep a close lookout for any email from ticketmaster from now on!
  23. i wanted to go for Oasis and/or Kaiser Chiefs too. but i'm kinda tapped out for the month. so i need to sit those out for now. i'll have more chances in the future once i'm in the UK...hopefully. if i don't get swamped in assignments. *shiver* & we can be 30, but our parents will STILL think you're only 3 & need babying around still. esp if you're a girl. which annoys the crap out of me.
