ah...FedEx & DHL charge killer rates. i've had guests daym near bite my head off for having to tell them the courier cost...& cos i work at a hotel, there's the extra service charges. well, i sent out documents to like 4 different places all over UK & they all made it to their destinations. so your ticket should reach you fine. SingPost is pretty reliable, imo. can't say the same for Pos Malaysia, unfortunately. *sigh* i do hope that somehow ticketmaster lets me collect from the Box Office at least the day before *fingers crossed*...i can't imagine how else they expect to clear thousands of ppl collecting their tix on the actual day, especially if it's 1hr before showtime! from experience, even clearing hundreds of ppl w/i 2hrs for an event registration is a nightmare.

i'm almost afraid to ask, but how much is the express mail option? btw, i've used the SingPost's SpeedPost Worldwide Express service to send stuff to UK quite a bit recently...delivery w/i 1-2 working days w/ tracking, though allowing 2-3 working days is more realistic, imo. maybe you can ask your mum to use that instead. cost me about SG$30+ (i recall it was <SG$35 per document) to send my uni applications out.

well, the guys are all about my age...only 2-3yrs older. so i don't think i can really say i grew up listening to them. i dunno...just seems weird to me if i were to declare that. tho for some reason i all along kept thinking that the guys are much older. & it turns out they're like same generation as me! i think it had something to do with reading an interview where Chris Martin says he grew up listening to Oasis! after the "me too!" reaction, it then hit me...by now, 2009, Oasis has been around for ages! i.e. i'm getting old... ooh...that's hardly a squeamish story, Min! quite a tearjerker! but it's great that Coldplay's music helps get you through thick & thin, as you've put it. :)

hah...for me, even if it's in the same country, my friends will say "tickets so ex! don't want lah...unless you pay for my ticket" back in Malaysia, i at least get to go with my dad. Bon Jovi was the last gig i went to with him tho. & that was ages ago when Crossroads came out. i generally like brit bands/music too...U2 (practically grew up listening to them! :D ), Oasis, Def Leppard, Queen, Kaiser Chiefs, Scouting for Girls, Fatboy Slim, Boyzone, Westlife...ok, so they're not ALL rock bands - i'm rather eclectic in my music listening. :P

ticketmaster doesn't mail out the tix so early from what i understand from the website options/FAQs. else i'd definitely have chosen the delivery method too (it's more assuring than collecting on the actual day, imo). what i've gathered is that it's only sent out like 1-2wks before the actual day...& that's too late for me if they're sending to me in Singapore. but from what aniskywalker's posted, i may need to keep a watch out for any such news from ticketmaster too. i might be in London in coming end May, actually. so i'm considering going down to bug some ticketmaster sales kiosks, if not the Wembley box office itself about this. heh alternatively, i'll try asking them about the possibility of topping up to have the tickets delivered to me instead...once i've worked out where in the world i'll be come Sep.

BBC: Coldplay return to the studio (spin off of Guy interview)
yeah! in the end, they never did go to Malaysia...never have. :\ but methinks it's more a case that the reporter needs to get his/her facts right - Singapore isn't part of Malaysia...not since 1965. meh.

i tried to find out from the website, but it wasn't that clear either. what i gathered was that you may be able to collect tickets earlier, but there's a possibility that you may only be able to collect them on the day itself subject to the organisers' decision. :\

he'd be very busy if girls kept fainting upon sight then... :sneaky: heh...i never made it even to JLPT4! but i can recognise the guys' names in katakana at least. :smug: .........................& the rest are just illegible characters to me. mostly. :embarassed: yes...fine lot of help that makes for me reading Japanese mags. :P

Favorite Coldplay song
Fix You great song...love the lyrics & the flow of the music, esp. when it gets to Jonny's guitar solo which switches the mood & builds up towards (imo) the uplifting end bit of the song. can't remember when i actually really 1st heard the song, but i recently "re-discovered" the song last year on YouTube cos of a rather well done Doctor Who fanvid. & i guess it was timing too cos i was going thru a difficult time & the song as a whole just kinda clicked with me.

oh crap... :\ i think i can get away with an entire day of camping out (i shall need to pick out a really good book to get me through that), but i highly doubt i can get clearance for an overnight camp out w/o ppl freaking out at me. but then, it'd also depend on when's the soonest i can pick up the tickets too...can't possibly be camping overnight, then next morning leave the spot/queue to pick up my ticket.

Fancy being apart of something massive?
given the date of this post & the current economic climate, i'm taking this with a massive bagload of salt...

oh, could anyone advise me if the ticket can only be collected on the actual event day or earlier? i've chosen to collect my ticket at the Box Office cos 1) it's the cheapest option 2) i'll be in London in early Sep already but i haven't sorted out where i'm crashing at yet so no confirmed mailing address. & more importantly...how early do i need to park myself at the gates in Wembley to try & get a decent spot front-ish of the stage/field? i've never done this whole "general admission standing ticket" thing before. well, i did once, but it was a really small hall & i'd basically swanned in like 1hr before the gig & calmly made my way straight to my friends who were up front of a sea of ppl...i didn't realise what i'd done til my friends took the mick out of me about it the following day. so now i know better. *shy* :embarassed:

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
i think technically it should be the other way round with the "garage door" being the ex-bakery's frontage & the alley being the delivery door. but given it's current usage/role, the alley's probably a better entrance (no need to worry about parking! :P ).

Do you play an instrument?
i'm 28 going on 29 now...tho i don't really act my age still. :P haha...yeah. i've never actually understood the logic that everyone's supposed to magically just know how to play the recorder in M'sian schools. if i actually had had a choice of what instrument to learn then, the recorder would not have ever been my choice...i'd have gone with either drums or guitar. heh

that statement should be plural, imo...since it's only really 1 of them who has those 2 criterias. heh but, really, Apple isn't that odd a name. i know a few ppl who go by that name. neither is Moses. the oddest name i've seen so far in my daily work is a female guest whose name was somewhere along the lines of "Precious Princess ..... ....." god knows what her parents were thinking when they filled in the birth cert (cos us staff were all sniggering when we saw that name...followed by exclamations of "poor girl must've been picked on in school for a name like that!") :P

The 2012 Motor Racing Thread (F1 & More)
yeah...it's been pretty wet weather in this part of the region of late. + Sepang's had to push back the race timing to a later time like Melbourne this year thanks to the night race for S'pore.

Do you play an instrument?
heh...same like me! i play by ear too, cos i don't really know how to read notes. i know music theory's important, but i find it kinda boring. & i've kinda forgotten what little i know too. i've taken piano classes before - only covered really basic stuff, & took guitar lessons too before my SPM. only thing is my teacher was a classical guitarist, so i didn't really get to learn any pop songs & i had to stop shortly before SPM to focus on that instead. basically rely on borrowing someone's guitar to play...as i've yet to get my very own acoustic guitar. currently playing stuff on a cheapo no-brand guitar a friend loaned to me. (oh...& like any other M'sian, i used to have to learn to play the recorder at music class...but i was incredibly horrible at it)
