  1. I dunno... you tell me! :) I'm a chris girl see... I can't work it out :D
  2. :) Don't worry Jo... I don't know many of their songs either. But the songs I do know I do like and they have been around for so long... every album they release is in the australian charts. They are so well respected here in aus. My ex boyfriend actually introduced me to the lead singer once... and guess what I just realised.... I've met someone who has met and is friends with Chris Martin. AAAARGH!!! hahaha
  3. Isn't Perry Farrell awesome! He's sooo talented.... he's a great entertainer... he seems like a genuine kinda guy. He comes across kinda spaced out but lets face it... he must be one intelligent man to do what he does... JA, porno for pyros... he set up and still runs lolapolooza (or how ever you spell it) haha ;) I have a lot of respect for him

If you haven't gone out and seen this move yet then it's well worth the 10 dollars (or whatever it costs to go to the cinema in your country) For those of you who don't know... it's the latest "pixar" cartoon (the dudes that did toy story) set in the waters of great barrier reef in australia. It's suited to all ages, it makes you laugh out loud and it moves you to tears and it's generally a top quality "feel good" kinda movie. It's getting five star ratings and I'd recomend it to anyone! I assure you with 99.9% certainty that you'll love it... I've given myself 0.1% in case Adrenn (or whatever his name is) checks out this topic :D For those of you that have seen it... let me know what you thought! What about those turtles eh? What an absolute classic! :)
  5. I dunno Adrenn... you're sounding an aweful lot like a try hard "muso-type" snob to me :D Haven't you ever heard of the saying "the simple things in life are often the best?" You also sound like you're trying to get a reaction which I feel is very immature. I can not see any other reason why someone with opinions such as yours would get on a forum dedicated to coldplay and competely bag their music. Maybe save it for the "tool" or "radiohead" forum eh? ;)
  6. Well I don't know what version we got here in australia... although I haven't seen it my boyfriend thinks it kinda sucks
  7. I've cried to trouble, warning signs and the scientist... all very moving songs and each time I was down and out and feeling lonely... or worry about never finding a man quite like Chris lol... jokes ;)
  8. Nothing :o ?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
  9. Thank you! Now give me a few weeks to download a few from each and I'll get back to you on how I liked them :P (I have dial up connection :embarrased: ) ;)
  10. I can't say for sure as I haven't seen many of them... I fell a bit smitten for Chris the first time I saw the "yellow" clip but my fav at the mo over any other film clip would have to be... of course... the scientist. It's just too good!! I loved it from the moment I saw it! Oh... and although I haven't seen it... my boyfriend really hates the clip for "trouble" :sneaky: :stunned:

    Haha... wow... thanks fifi!! :D
  12. Has anyone mentions "U Can't Touch This by MC Hammer" yet? Oh and "Kris Kross: JUMP!" Was another one
  13. Oh... and welcome aboard Kayleigh! I just realised this was your first post! I'm not only into trip hop... I do already have one of tricky's cd's (maxinquae) although I probably should check out some of his newer stuff. Ta for all your suggestions! Looking forward to checkin them all out :)
  14. Wow! Thanks so much for this guys ;) This'll keep my busy for quite some time although any further suggestions are still welcome! :) Silverchair hey Jo? Good to see someone outside of australia getting into some top aussie rock! Have you heard of powderfinger? They are an aussie band that a meant to be pretty good mates with coldplay. Very highly respected in Aus... worth checkin out
  15. Hi everyone! I'm sure this topic has been posted before but I'm desperate for some new tunes!! Got any ideas? I like bands such as coldplay, doves, radiohead, janes addiction, propellorheads, massive atack, morcheeba, portishead etc to give you an idea of what I'm into. Thanks to anyone that replys, giving a hint on a song I could sample would be a great help :) Thanks!

Yeah I know what you're saying Marie... they seemed to have used "clocks" in a lot of add's eg: the rugby world cup (which they now have to quote "coldplay: clocks" at the bottom of) and in a trailor for a new movie. Another one of Chris's comments that I found amusing was during an australian interview. He said he was talking with his grandpa one day and his grandpa was critising his lyrics saying that he needed to write lyrics with more substance (or something along those lines) and chris ended up saying in a very perplexed voice ".... but what about yellow? Everyone likes yellow!?" hee hee. Tell me if it's a "had to be there" sorta thing... and I won't post anymore ok?
  17. Well I am a DEFINTATE fan of yellow over trouble. Trouble is now my least favourite song on this album... perhaps it's cause it got too much airplay and I got sick of it (I can't beleive I actually got sick of a coldplay song!?!), perhaps I just find it too depressing?!? Anyways... yellow it is :P Not sure about the b'sides though... soz.
  18. Wow... dats betta! haha. :P Did any of you see them live on their recent tour? I saw them at "the big day out" in aus. They were awesome!! Played all their old classics but did anyone else notice the echoing??? Made it hard to hear Perry's voice. I didn't get into them until they had already broken up and thought I'd never get to see them live... I was so excited when I found out they were touring again!! What's some of your favourite songs by them? I like all of them and my fav's keep changing but at the moment I'd have to say "STOP" and "Ocean Size" are my fav's :D
  19. I saw him in concert when I was 14... it was my first concert ever and I have two of his hit singles on tape
  20. Oh?? haha... why is that el scorcho? Maybe I just have really strange taste in music... maybe I really am alone on this one?!?
  21. I also love the doves. I'd never heard of them till my mate sent "the last broadcast" over from the uk for my birthday... glad he did :) I really like the song "words" I like the opening line "Insides a heart of summer soul..... don't let them take it away...." :) Puts me in a good mood.
  22. Dunno matey... do know one thing though... I can play it on the organ! Will play it for you if you want? ;)
  23. Although coldplay are my ultimate fav at the moment, janes addiciton come pretty close. I was kinda skeptical when they announced that they were bringing a new album out... kinda like I was with coldplays "rush of blood to the head" as I thought that it couldn't top parachutes but with both bands I have been pleasantly suprised!! Just wondering if there's anyone else out there that's a big fan of JA? I know you're out there... just wondering where you all hide!!!
