They aren't the greatest musicians ever, nobody is saying that. But you could argue that DragonForce are the best guitarists alive, but who gives a shit about technical ability if the songs are terrible? I challenge you to find a person who doesn't like at least one Beatles song, they have such an extensive collection of music, some of it that would be groundbreaking even it was released today and it appeals to different people on different levels, there are some Beatles songs I really don't like that others will love, that jsut shows you the depth of the band. I think when most people think of the Beatles they think of the Hard Day's Night Beatles singing pure pop music to screaming girls.
