Nominations for the 2003 Q Awards have been revealed this morning, with Coldplay in with a chance of winning an impressive four trophies. Chris Martin and co - now regular fixtures at the prestigious awards ceremony - are nominated for Best Act In The World Today, Best Single ('Clocks'), Best Video ('The Scientist') and Best Live Performers. Their acclaimed long-player, 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head', was named Best Album at the 2002 Q Awards, when the band picked up two nominations. Competition for this year's Best Album award is strong, with Blur, Radiohead, The White Stripes, Feeder and 50 Cent all nominated for their latest efforts. Blur - ignored in the nominations for the recent Mercury Music Prize - pick up three Q nominations this year, as do British rock trio Muse. The White Stripes, Radiohead, The Darkness, Electric Six and Christina Aguilera each receive two nominations this year.
