  1. Now I am back after reading the first article that is from the Norwegian tabloid paper Se og Hør Week-end (a paper full of gossip). A special stage will be built in the garden of Skaugum (the residence of the Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who are both turning 40 years old this summer - Haakon next week-end). A number of Norwegian artists will also perform. From the article: Mette-Marit has invited >300 private guests to the hippie festival at Skaugum on 19 and 20 July 2013, and the guests are recommended to be dressed for a festival. Crown Princess Mette-Marit is a good friend of Gwyneth Paltrow's who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The popular band has sold incredible 60 million albums world-wide. To book/hire such a popular band one summer night might cost several million Norwegian kroner. It is possible that Chris Martin will do it for free. text under picture of Chris with microphone: Mette-Marit has booked super group Coldplay to play in the garden when Haakon turns 40 (years old) next week-end.
  2. Cool, if it is true. But I have otherwise the impression that Prince Haakon and his wife like(d) House music. But maybe it is true. He will be 40 this year. But I would like to see it before I fully believe it.
  3. Right you are. Chris is not used to not being the tallest person in pictures / on photographs, LOL.
  4. I replied in the other thread (the one with reports of people going there). I think that it will be quiet at the Bakery / Beehive soon as I can imagine that the band members will go on a well-deserved holiday.
  5. I like to read stories about fans meeting Coldplay, but I must say that lately more and more fans are waiting for them (to say hello and sign stuff) almost every day. Not many days ago a fan was told that Chris was not there that day - he would come on Thursday (sort of inviting the fan to come back that coming Thursday). Sometimes staff members said that band members would come out in 30 minutes. Wait here. Or the staff member would go inside and tell the band that a fan was waiting to see for instance Chris - and a little later he came out. Sometimes Chris has been on the phone / or busy, but he took time to talk to the fan, signed stuff, photo session. If the band find it too much, then they should ask their staff not to encourage fans to come again. Or to say: "Wait here - the band will be leaving in x minutes". On the other hand - if the band should sign stuff for a crowd of waiting fans, then it would mean time taking from work inside the studio or time taken from their family. So I read the thread with a poll, but didn't reply as I can see cons and pros. I tend to think that lately it has been too much with a whole crowd of waiting fans. But I can also understand the fans - especially when staff members have said: If you come back on Thursday, then Chris is here". That could be seen as an invitation to Chrissygirls to turn up that Thursday (maybe trigger an invasion of Chrissy girls). Soon the band members will go on holiday, and then it will be quiet again at the Bakery/Beehive.

I was googling WWTT - the most frequent answer was: What Would They Think. Alternative: Win Win Tours Travel (could have been that as well - Coldplay being in a Win Win situation; being on many Tours - being on many Travels) But yours is the best, Tash - and the correct one, of course. So thanks, TASH
