It would be unbelieveable..I need it as soon as possible... how realistic is it that it leaks today because of this site? I don´t know the "leak scene" :D

I ordered mine now too... but how will it work? Will we get an email on 24th Oct on 0:00 with a link where I can download the whole album or what?

Well Im from Germany so I don´t know how it works in the USA :) But I don´t believe that MX will get to some retailers this or even next week. Also: I am pretty sure EMI / Coldplay knows exactly what to do / say for letting MX not leak as long as possible ( = as I said a few days before japanese release ) But of course I hope it will leak...now...:(

MX won't leak this week. I even doubt it will leak at all. If its releasing in Japan on the 19th, you wil hear it on the 15th - 18th because retailers will get their CD's. But thats all. A "real" leak is not that realistic.

Exactly thats the reason. They make poppy music and go mainstream. I mean, of course they don´t but thats the main thought around here.

Yeah thats realistic :dozey: But I guess Viva La Vida is a 10 or something :rolleyes: While those people will hate Coldplay for something they did not even do ( going mainstream ) I will have very much fun with MX when its released :)

Coldplay is mainstrem hm? Paradise ist super poppy hm? Now the piano - exactly as played as in studio version - is a bit louder and its coldplay again? Well, this is... what is it? Hilarious? I don´t know. As I said: People shout "MAINSTREAM" because of some aspects of that song... but now - seeing the live version - you look behind that idea of Paradise. For me it´s still as good as Viva La Vida or something.

Because we all have experience at their music and something like instinct. And you won´t change this when you accept everything thats negative, but if someone likes something you say "its not even out there" I know what Im talking about. Most of MX is available as live versions. And the other fews songs wont be mainstream at all. Like always. Otherwise they would have been released.

This is another thing. 1) a song is not poppy because Will kicks some "Disco drums". Think of Paradise as an acoustic cover... it would be brilliant. So you see: The idea behind those songs is brilliant. 2) people complain about the fact that Chris sings "Up in flameeee" 9 times in a row or something. But the song would not be better when he would use other words. Lyrics aren´t bad because they are not complicated or something. Some people just want to see strange lyrics so that those lyrics seem to be intelligent or so... bullshit at its best.

You are absolutely right. This is the same thing I said before... but some people here need to bash all the time. Of course those singles are poppy thats why they ARE singles. Like Viva La Vida. And Paradise has some really great, Coldplayish parts in it... its not real pop music. By far not. Yesterday I listened to the whole VLV album and after that I listened to Paradise again. And you know what? It was not more poppy than VLV ( single ). It was Coldplay, just in MX-style ( a bit like X&Y with synths ). So Im very sure, too that MX will have the same or even better quality than VLV and Coldplay did NOT go mainstream and they never will. Chris is way to smart and WAY to selfcritical with his music that he would write pop songs...he wants to deliver great, unique songs and thats what MX will be. He would also never do things he dont want to just because Eno would say it or something...

Why should Chris fill something with para, para, paradise? Do you think its difficult to find other words if he wants to?... and also, I dont have to know it. There are always mainstream singles. THATS THE REASON for releasing them before the album. The other songs will be better. AS ALWAYS. A Coldplay fan should know that.... but wait and see.

No, we don´t know it. But look at the other LP´s. On Viva La Vida there were some mainstream songs like Lovers In Japan, Viva La Vida or Violet Hill. ( great songs, don´t get me wrong ) And now there is ETIAW and Paradise. Songs like Up In Flames will be like I don´t know maybe 42, maybe Life In Technicolor... you know what I mean? There are always a few mainstream songs and the rest are those songs we love. And now please be serious: You dont think Paradise has some bad notes or something, its just the way its played, right? Those "disco drums" and synthies and so on. If it would be played acoustic, nobody would be angry. This is what I think. And whats so bad on singing para, para, paradise? Is this reason number 1 for a pop song or what? This is a bit... well... in my opinion stupid.

To bad that I dont really love ETIAW or Paradise. Im just not overreacting like you. As I said. There are songs out there that sound a bit like Clocks, or Viva, so what? You think thats enough for saying: Yep, these songs are mainstream? One thing is sure: Coldplay is more mainstream than ever before. But can´t you just wait for the whole album? is that too difficult? Two songs out of 14 are a bit poppy. Like always on Coldplay LP´s... all the other songs will be as great as ever. If not you can make thousands of threads like these and I will be on your side. Im also not a fan of people here saying everything Coldplay does is great.
