Thanks. I'll take that as a veiled compliment. ;)

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I think that Coldplay are an excellent band but two of their biggest tracks - Fix You and Viva La Vida - do absolutely nothing for me. Am I just weird? :shocked2: ;)

Muse or Coldplay, who's better live?
Coldplay are excellent live but Muse are simply the best live band in the world. Having said that, I'll be shocked if Coldplay don't win this poll as this is a Coldplay forum. ;)

What do you think...Muse and Radiohead
Indeed. Sometimes Dom says more than Matt. ;) But I like Chris because he says nothing but just stands there looking cool and playing those amazing bass lines.

What do you think...Muse and Radiohead
I disagree with this, but hey, we're all different. I think it's a good thing that Muse can sell out Wembley Stadium twice and yet could probably walk down the street without being recognised. As a frontman that connects with the audience, Matt is nothing special. But as a vocalist and musician, he is one of the best in the last 20 years. Basically Muse let their music do the talking and their is no political gesturing or charity campaigning. By the way I do love Coldplay, but Muse move me a lot more. But like I say, horses for courses. ;)

Bat for Lashes
I think that Two Suns is a nice album. But I really don't like Scott Walker on the last track. :\

What do you think...Muse and Radiohead
I think that Muse are the greatest band of the last 20 years. I think that Coldplay are very good. Whilst I don't dislike Radiohead and quite like some tracks, I really can't see what all the fuss is about. And the only Radiohead/Muse similarity I can hear is in the vocal style. Still, each to their own. ;)

Music you discovered/listened to for the first time/began to like a lot more in 2009?
Muse!!! :o Before April this year I owned nothing by them. Then I bought Black Holes And Revelations and it blew me away. :o Now I've got all their albums. Brilliant brilliant band.

The 6 Most Shameless Rip-Off Bands In Rock
"Muse = Radiohead rip off" is lazy lazy journalism. Other than Matt's and Thom's vocal style, there is almost no similarity.

A Rush Of Blood To The Head or The Bends?
AROBTTH > The Bends. But Origin Of Symmetry (Muse's 2nd album) beats 'em both. ;)

The Snow Patrol Thread
I like Snow Patrol, though having said that, I only own Final Straw and Eyes Open. I have read some positive stuff about their "Best Of" CD, in particular the fact that it includes a few non singles and that the band had a say in what was included. Many "Best Of" albums are compiled by the record company with little input from the band. Having said that, Snow Patrol have committed the cardinal sin as far as I am concerned. "Best Of" albums that include new songs are an absolute disgrace in my opinion. The reason I say this? Collectors apart, I regard "Best Of" albums as being for people who quite like a band but who don't like them enough (or don't have the finances) to collect all the albums by the band. Nothing wrong with that, as there is no problem in a band having 2 sorts of fans. In my own case I am not a massive fan of, for example, Bon Jovi (a bit cheesy), but I like a few of their singles and so I own Crossroad (one of their compilations). But if Coldplay or Muse were to release a "Best Of" with a new track or three, I would be seriously p*ssed off. And whilst in this digital age I could in theory download any potential new tracks at little cost, that's not the point. Anyway, rant over. :\
