[28-May-2014] Casino de Paris, Paris, France
3 tabs open and still not getting anywhere - "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect!" The most frustrating thing is that I've had tickets twice now and then it crashed as soon as I tried to actually buy them :(

[28-May-2014] Casino de Paris, Paris, France
Still just stuck on waiting pages - got one non-refreshing tab open and another that I'm F5-ing regularly - nothing happening on either! Still just got 'moins de 5 minutes' and 'environ 6 minutes'

Thanks Couerli! I think it's a waiting page rather than the suspended one (although my French is very rusty!) so I'll hold out for a bit and then go back to my studying :laugh3:

I'm still on a waiting page, does anyone know if it is definitely sold out now?

Tiny little thing, but the waiting time (for me) has now changed from 'less than 5 minutes' to 'about 6 minutes'. Don't know what, if anything, this means

[28-May-2014] Casino de Paris, Paris, France
Completely forgot about this (middle of university exam period, so stressed out!) and then remembered what date it was! I'm now 2 hours behind everyone else, because I also stupidly forgot it was done on European time but hey, I guess I can still try for London. It would have been incredible to go to Paris, so I think I'm still going to wait in the queue - which keeps crashing, same as everyone else - but who knows if my bank balance could cope with it anyway! Good luck to everyone else still trying, hang on in there :)

Echoes of previous song lyrics...?
I don't know if I'm reading way too much into it, but I was looking through the PDF of the lyrics for GS just now and I noticed that a few seemed to have lines that almost linked back to some of Coldplay's old songs. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but I'm wondering if maybe Chris was almost going back to the songs about intense love and contrasting that which how much emotional pain he's in right now because of losing the woman that he loved so much? Examples: True Love - "So tell me you love me" = direct from The Scientist Ink - "... is that I love you so" = "you know I love you so" - Yellow And the end of Ink, whilst not being strictly related "See your stars begin to shine" just reminded me a lot of Yellow I don't know, maybe I'm analysing it too much (and I know that neither of the old songs were written particularly about Gwyneth) but I just thought I'd see if anyone else saw the resemblances!

Coldplay to peform on Later... with Jools Holland (April 29, 2014)
Sorry, bit late to this but for those asking - Aziza Brahim was born in the Sahrawi refugee camps in Algeria, where people fleeing from Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara went. But she's fab :)

Aaaand I just watched that on my HD TV and saw every pore of Chris Martin's face and heard that beautiful, beautiful face and now I think I might be dead.

OCEANS :D

What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
A Sky Full of Stars, not because it just came out or anything, but because I'm having a really tough time at the moment and it's helping me to have one little moment of happiness in a fairly dark time

Would Coldplay still stay together as a band if one member quit?
I actually don't think they would. I think they all talk so much about how the band only works because of the chemistry between them, I think that losing one of the crucial elements would tear apart the whole thing.

Coldplay to peform on Later... with Jools Holland (April 29, 2014)
Oh and second thoughts on second viewing of ASFOS live, Chris' dancing makes me life (I'd forgotten that!) and Chris' voice was on TOP form tonight - vocally incredibly strong. Also the ending with the Jonny's guitar and *that* falsetto... I am actually a very happy Coldplayer right now :dazzled:

Coldplay to peform on Later... with Jools Holland (April 29, 2014)
I don't think he'll get rid of the tattoo, personally, and if he does then I don't think it'll be straight away. Their separation has been very civilised (on the surface, I suppose we don't know how it really is) and there don't seem to be many hard feelings, I feel like it would be very unlikely for Chris to immediately cut her out of his life

Coldplay to peform on Later... with Jools Holland (April 29, 2014)
Ok, I liked ASFOS to begin with, wasn't on board with the haters, and I think hearing it live just makes it even clearer to me that I'm going to *love* it as a party, summer song. Lyrically and musically, no, it's not Coldplay's finest, but as a piece of upbeat fun, it absolutely fits the bill :D

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
This is basically my opinion summed up very neatly. Not the sort of thing I'd actively listen to now if I weren't a Coldplay fan, but I can enjoy it. I think the problem is that fans always expect Coldplay to come out with something heartbreaking, and anything that isn't Scientist-esque gets automatically trashed. Sure, the Coldplay I fell in love with was the one that I could cry my eyes out to and then have them pick me back up, and I adore the quieter, introspective songs as much as I always did, but I also love a great dance around my room to ETIAW (which I *hated* on first listen!) or Paradise! Life isn't all about being sad, and ASFOS is exactly what I'd love to jump to at a festival or summer night out. It's nothing groundbreaking, no (but is that really what Coldplay was ever about?) and I imagine it might wear a bit thin after a while, but for now, I like it! And I like that it's a happy note on an otherwise incredibly emotional album. To me, it signifies being able to pick yourself up and just go out and enjoy life.

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
As someone who is often deemed a 'hipster' (except I'm not sure that I really fit the bill, because I literally just listen to whatever the hell I want, and a lot of that just happens to be 'indie' bands) I would say Coldplay still attracts them because the band just make such good music. If they were mainstream and crap, it would be a whole different story I think, but the fact that they're great and just so happen to be one of the biggest bands in the world is perhaps excusable. I think it's because they have a musical value that, say, Miley Cyrus doesn't. I mean, real hipsters of course wouldn't touch Coldplay with a barge pole, because they have more than 12 fans :laugh3: On another note, I haven't had a chance to listen to the track yet as I was out, but I'm so intrigued to listen to it now that I've seen the reaction on here! Will report back...
