Mine too, but I can also totally understand if Foo Fighters would play the next Super Bowl. But there's a full year before the next Super Bowl, so I guess this discussion is a bit early too :P

Btw, what did you think of the other performances? Paul McCartney along with Bruce Springsteen and Dave Grohl was pretty epic. :smug:

It don't see a stadium full of football fans wear Xylobands. And I agree with Corkus, I think the majority of the audience knows the Foo hits. Don't get me wrong, I would really enjoy Coldplay during the Halftime show, but Foo Fighters would be pretty awesome too!

De Beach Boys reünie was ook leuk om te zien. Jammer dat het 'geïntroduceerd' moest worden door Foster The People en Maroon 5.

Foo Fighters, Adele en vooral de afsluiting van Paul McCartney waren de hoogtepunten. Ik ga sowieso weer naar z'n concert in maart aanstaande! Ik heb het niet uitgezeten trouwens, ik ben rond half 4 gaan slapen. Heb het laatste stuk teruggekeken vandaag (nouja, alleen de optredens die ik wilde zien).

^ True. Especially the re-release of Lovers In Japan, with minor changes to it, I didn't understood. Glass Of Water, Life In Technicolor ii and Prospekt's March (the song) were worth releasing.

I think the conclusion is that they just betted on playing safe. Playing PoC in it's full album version without many rehearsing time was a big risk. Also playing CB for a 'non-Coldplay-orientated' audience is a risk, because it is not as well know as Paradise. By now everyone knows that track, so it was just a safe choice...

I totally agree on listening to the whole album with good headphones. You're missing half of the production value while listening on a pc or by using crappy headphones.

I was thinking about this when I was watching the Super Bowl last week. In this point in their careers it would make total sense if they'd played a show as massive as this one. Also, after having two more 'dance/disco' orientated acts the last two years (Black Eyed Peas and Madonna), I think it is time for a band next year and Coldplay can easily pull of a 15 minute hit medley. More than Foo Figthers, I think.

It is the day after the night before and my opinion hasn't changed now that I've seen the performance a couple of times. I'm still disappointed. I was so hoping for the album version of PoC, not an acoustic one. It just felt to me that they were taking it a bit easy with only a guitar, because there was almost no time to rehearse or something. Of course, they both sung it well, but it definitely wasn't as spectacular as I had hoped.

Helaas geen Grammy's voor de heren. Het optreden met Rihanna vond ik ook licht teleur stellen. Ik had gehoopt op de album versie van Princess Of China, maar ipv daarvan was het een akoestisch optreden tussen Chris en Rihanna. Ik miste juist die beat en de synthesizer die het nummer zo awesome maakt. Nu was het erg braafjes. Daarnaast was Paradise, vanwege Chris z'n stemproblemen, ook niet echt geweldig. Maar snel te bed dan, tot morgen! :)

I agree, Charlie Brown would've been a way better choice. Also with the Xylobands. Well, this was it for Coldplay tonight. I guess I'm going to bed, it's 03.30 am here in Holland. Goodnight everyone! :D
