Aww so I finally saw them 10 days ago ! They were incredible ! The quality of the sound was awesome too. The Venue was so gorgeous. Basically, everything was perfect :heart: ! They were really nice too. :nice: And wow, one of the guitarists speaks french really well :shocked2:. Matt was also impressed because he said that we were the first crowd ever that actually clapped at the end of the certain song (I can't remember which one, argh!! :confused:), apparently people always clap at the certain moment they think is the end of the song but isn't ! :smug: But Laura, I can't say they were better than Vampire Weekend :tongue: because those were equally awesome, seriously ! Edit : They didn't play the new song. :disappointed:. The setlist was great though !

Brothers by The Black Keys is really worth listening to !

I'm with you too ! I don't like all of her songs but she is talented and yeah, quite different too. I love I Am Not A Robot, Hermit The Frog and Mowgli's Road the most! I don't listen to her that much though and I like it that way, otherwise I think I'd get annoyed pretty quickly. But sometimes I feel like listening to her and then I'm really enjoying it :awesome: !

I listened to their last album a while ago but I thought it was nothing special. I don't know, one song or two can be enjoyable sometimes but a whole album was a little too much for me I guess. I'm not saying it's bad though !

I want either Wild Beasts or The XX to win ! Awww The XX talked about the festival in Lyon in their interview, I was there ! They were great :wacky: but that was too short. :\

Ah I loved that movie ! But yeah I know what you mean about Michael Fassbender :sick:. The heroine (I don't remember her name anymore) did a fucking great job considering she wasn't even an actress :shocked2:. EDIT : The last movie I saw was Changeling by the way. It was good. I like Angelina Jolie better now. I didn't like her but I have to admit she was really good in that movie.

Hey KingChris, I did your mixtape ! I'm really glad you enjoyed it even if it wasn't the type of music you usually listen to. I hope you thought it flowed well because that was one of my main goals ! This one was "Ceremony" by New Order (The original version of the song is by Joy Division though, you should check that out too btw)! At fist I wasn't sure whether I should put it in the tape or not because I thought the chances you already knew it were huge, I'm so glad you didn't ! The song is so gorgeous that I think everybody should listen to it before they die. I can't tell you how much I love it <3. Such a masterpiece. It's "Lust For Life" by Girls. Oh God, I love those crazy lyrics ! Honestely I really don't see what's awful about the clapping and I'm not even sure I get what you meant by "that weird sounding instrument" but oh well... This band is fucking weird and sometimes even disturbing but that's what makes them amazing in my opinion. This one is called "Wide Eyes" and it's by Local Natives. I'm glad you liked it ! You should definitely check their whole debut album (Gorilla Manor), it's mind blowing ! And I agree, the guitars are so great in this song <3 ! This song is "6669 (I Don't Know If You Know)" by Neon Indian. I figured this one had more chances not to be liked than the rest of the songs. But I just love it. I have to admit I never tried to understand the lyrics, I don't think it's that important for that song. I just love the feeling to the song you know. I love to play it really loud and get so lost in it that I almost feel high (don't call me crazy please). Ha ha yeah I know the beginning is weird, but I'm used to it! I think they are very promising. The song is called "Get Back". It's "Slow Poison" by The Bravery. I don't know much about this band actually because I pratically only listen to this song of them. <But I totally overplayed this song ! It's so damn catchy, it gets me everytime ! Jesus ! If you loved this, you should mostly check out "Janglin" and "40 Day Dream", but they can also do pretty amazing melancholic songs like "Desert Song". The song is called "Florida Silver Spring" and it's from their album Tum. This song ("Where We Go") is from their debut album. Their music is amazing but also really hard to find so if you are interested I could upload their stuff on rapidshare. This was "Hard Rain" by Shout Out Louds but that is not the album version of the song. It's a shorter (and better if you ask me) version they used for the music video. Especially their last record : "Merriweather Post Pavilion". Nope, it can sound like it but it's from an american band actually. They're called Le Loup and the song is "Forgive Me". They are so underrated, it's a pity. They sound like a mix of Grizzly Bear and Fleet Foxes conbined with african sounds in my opinion :awesome:. Listen to it people !!! Their last album Family is so beautiful. "Forgive me" is my favourite song off it. Nope she's from Sweden but her name (Lykke Li) is Norwegian. I really love her voice and her music as a whole. I think "Dance, dance, dance" is my favourite but I'm not too sure lol. I'm so digging the brass part near the end of the song :heart: ! What I really like about her music too is that it sounds pretty unique I think. Yeah the song is called "Is This Sound Okay?" and I love it, so I had no over choice than end the tape with it :P! It's by Coconut Records. Jason Schwarztman is the lead singer. I don't know if you see who he is... He's an actor, he played in The Darjeeling Limited and Marie-Antoinette for instance. He's obviously also talented in music. I like Coconut Record because it doesn't sound pretentious, it's simple but so nice to hear. My review is finally here :D! I’m so sorry for the delay! Ok, so I know my review is mostly negative but please don’t take it personally. I’m probably one of the hardest people to satisfy in music. I tried not to sound harsh but I also wanted to be honest you know :embarrassed:. We obviously don’t share most of our taste in music but it happens, I can’t really criticize that. What bothered me the most I guess is that the tape doesn’t flow at all as a mix in my opinion. BUT, I’m really interested to see the tracklist because I’m curious and because I did really love some tracks. Tracks 3, 5, 6 and 10 were amazing :awesome: and I really want to know who made them ! Thank you very much dear mixtaper :D !

It saddens me to see how people seem to only focus on the technical part of the issue forgetting all the ethical part of it! Especially girls, I don't want to sound all feminist but I mean, come on !! I can get your point, like legalizing it will help control it and all but I honestly don't think that'll ever work. All that will do is make this practice look ok, like it's something normal to do when it's not ! It's definitely not, you just don't sell sex like you sell bread! To me law should be all about justice and human rights protection so how could it allow something like that? I know this sort of ideal is sometimes far from reality but that doesn't mean we should make things even worse by legalizing prostitution. And the fact that this is the oldest profession in the world doesn't change a thing if you ask me. No matter how old it is, it's still the most degrading thing a person could do to her/himself. :facepalm: I don't want to sound harsh but people who think this way are so depressing that I don't know what to say. Like this is freedom... LOL Same thing for people who are like "if they want to do it, I don't see where the problem is" : pffff that's bullshit, nobody wants to do that. And even if some protitutes claim that they "enjoy" this "job" I think they don't, they are just fooling themselves.

I only have my mom but my relationship with her is amazing I must say. :nice: I know I can really count on her for anything and we share a lot of things. But don't worry your relationship with your parents is not a lost cause ! Those relationships tend to change a lot so it'll probably get better.

I've had that problem too. I managed to get rid of most of them from itunes but there are still 3 album covers that I can't get rid of, I mean it's weird, I deleted the album cover in itunes, then I past the files in my mixtape folder (outside of itunes) but the covers are still there for those particular 3 songs :shrug:! I tried everything in vain so I finally gave up! Besides, the chance the person recognize those 3 songs just by seeing the cover are VERY little I think (those are very unknown songs from pretty unkown artists lol) !

Oh fuck ! They just added a date in my town BUT I'M BROKE right now :bigcry:!!!! The tickets are not on sale yet but I think they'll be soon and I'll still be broke :( :(. Besides I don't want to go alone, and my friends are either busy, not interested or away in that period. That's really fucked up !! :bigcry:
