  1. I'm most interested in seeing their performance of Feral. Only because I've got a bet with Mike.
  2. How big is this thing anyway? I have a love/hate relationship with spiders. I hate looking at them, the thought of them crawling on/near me, etc. However I love the fact that they eat all the other critters that I never see because of their existence. That being said, when they do decide to press their luck and appear in my presence, I have two favorite ways to kill them, depending on what is at my immediate disposal: Trap it on the floor with a clear cup/glass and then watch it starve to death (this may take a few days). Spray it with hairspray. Within seconds in can barely move which makes it much easier to kill.
  3. Interestingly enough, iTunes labeled ETIAW as "Alternative". I call bullshit. wtf iTunes?!?
  4. Seriously don't let it bother you. 99.9999999999999% of the people here adore you!
  5. nay nay nay nay nay nay nay nay hey hey hey goodbye sorry, couldn't resist
  6. I screen shot-ed it so it will exist forevvaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  7. Reilly I still can't get over your matching walking man / Leo sig/avi. Brilliant. I smile every time I see it.
  8. Oddly enough, "Summertime" wasn't entirely original either. /random
  9. Mike you need a hug I can see this ETIAW, etc. thing is upsetting you :bigcry: umm NO he's not yes agreed  Seriously, R#43 needs to make a comeback
  10. I thought Phil said it was going to make a return but obviously it didn't :bigcry:
  11. Sorry, sometimes I'm not good at detecting sarcasm. If you are being sarcastic, the more clear version of my feedback would be "my husband agrees with you, it sounds kind of like the 'original' song but almost exactly like the other song."
  12. Nope. I read it too. I understand what you're getting at. Oh and did your little suggested "test" with my husband (playing all three songs). His response is best summarized as: :stunned: That being said, I think the underlying issue that irks a lot of fans here is that there was a big huge buildup over the past couple of years about all this new stuff in the works, and the first new thing (aside from Christmas Lights) isn't even entirely "new". I think that's where (at least some of) the backlash is coming from. It's like a tiny little bitch-slap in the (fans') face. However, I just heard from a fellow member who attended the festival that the other songs are fantastic. And apparently even more people are saying that. So that makes me happy. At the same time, it also makes me wonder why one of those other songs weren't released first instead of ETIAW. Although I suppose it's for the obvious "arena song for the festivals" reason.
  13. Well I just got a message on facebook from a fellow member here who went to the festival. He didn't care for ETIAW either, but he really liked the other stuff. I'll put (some of) his comments in a spoiler in case there are things you'd rather wait to see/know.
  14. I agree that other song already sounds much better than ETIAW. * there is hope * As in, EMI are connected to / suckling the Coldplay teet.
  15. In all seriousness though, I really would like to see the other new songs they apparently performed at the festival. I'm hoping for redemption.
  16. teet :lips:
  17. I'm not sure.
  18. All they need to do is leave EMI once they've fulfilled their contract. Fin.
  19. R#43 material :awesome: THIS WOULD BE EPIC. Please let us know if/when it is done!
  20. Since when am I a journalist?
  21. I completely agree. Most of the lyrics have an upbeat feel, and then they throw in (not to mention name the song) Every Teardrop is a Waterfall. When I first heard that title thrown around months ago, I thought a song called that would have a more melancholy feel to it, maybe with a little "hope" thrown in; kind of like Christmas Lights. The words 'every teardrop is a waterfall' seem so depressing to me, I would ordinarily think it would mean that seeing someone you care about cry even just a little is heartwrenching. I wouldn't associate it with turning music up and kids dancing. Basically what you said... they just don't add up.
  22. curious which few tracks you're keeping
