How Guy got into Coldplay
That's about what I've heard, so it's probably relatively accurate. And apparently he also wanted to because Chris had a Fender Rhodes. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4037207&postcount=2754

Coldplay covers anyone?
Welcome here! :nice: You may want to have a mod move this to the Coldplay section of the forum. Hopefully one of them will see this. There is probably already a thread for this, if so, they can merge the threads and post a link.

How many people trick or treat your house on Halloween?
We only had 2 this year. But they both LOVED our real-life Halloween decoration... our black cat Kitty greeted them at the door. :D

So NOW apparently they incorrectly arrested the female student, and released her. And also it appears the real target was the cargo planes themselves; I just heard on the news that the "address" of the synagogue was too old and defunct. Not even going to bother finding an article for this development, because the story will probably change within the hour anyway. Yippee. I can hear my mom now: "See?!? This is why I didn't want you to go to London, because of stuff like this, you never know what's going to happen, nag nag nag."

What have you learned today?
I think about 1/2 of the "obsession" is just due to the seasonal nostalgia of it! :wacky:

Lady Gaga
Even if people don't list their YOB or age in their bio, you can pretty much figure it out when their birthday rolls around. The "today's birthdays" list is listed in order of age, so even if the person doesn't show their age you can usually figure it out as long as the people next to them on the list shows their age. So the only way you'll be able to figure out how old I am is to wait until February 17.

Former employee sues McDonald's for making him fat - AND WINS
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the amount of the award. $17,500. That's probably why McDonald's was "extremely pleased with the court's decision". I'm sure McDonald's legal fees cost oodles more than that. And probably the guy's legal fees for that matter. Maybe the guy came out of the whole process in the red.

Assuming I know which word you are referring to... I don't know why. I don't find it horribly offensive.

Extra hour in bed!
Not that Wikipedia is the greatest source, but... um, no. "Many publications incorrectly credit DST's invention to the prominent English builder and outdoorsman William Willett, who independently conceived DST in 1905 during a pre-breakfast ride, when he observed with dismay how many Londoners slept through a large part of a summer day." Benjamin Franklin kind of "came up with the idea", but it was first proposed by George Vernon Hudson. Mneh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time
