Yeah I just noticed that she fixed the song title, but you beat me to it! In regard to the "Ay", I don't think she can change that, because that's the text that was supplied by the person asking the question. She keeps whatever the person typed verbatim; otherwise it begs the question where should she stop in making corrections. I remember I made a mistake when I asked my question, I said U.S. and U.K. several times, and one of the times I meant to type U.K. but typed U.S. instead (or vice versa). She left my mistake in there, but she knew what I meant.

I was kind of hoping they would post the acceptance video with the story.

Unless they got an alternate version of LRLRL; which I highly doubt. I'm sure she's gonna get oodles of "correction" questions, so I'm not even going to bother!

Well, I asked a similar question in his other thread, and this was his response. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4234615&postcount=897 I realized that my original question didn't include the cases that I brought up in this thread, and his answer in the other thread didn't cover those situations, which is why I asked the other question here. I am looking forward to his response in this thread.

Although our local department doesn't tweet, they do post police logs every month online that are basically the same thing. Sometimes whoever posts it makes the summaries very snarky (similar to the examples that Cobalt posted).

^ I was thinking the same thing (just waiting for someone else to say it). Although the awards were based on 2009 instead of 2008 (I think). But even so, I think it makes the timing weird simply by the fact that the ceremony was in October. It would have made more sense to have the ceremony at the beginning of the year i.e. closer to 2009!

I can tell you all the paperwork is a beeeatch. You need a gabillion copies of the marriage license (and sometimes birth certificate) for everything that needs to change. Changing it with the Secretary of State for your drivers' license and plate tabs. Work. Social Security/IRS. Bank. Credit cards. Investments. Charities. Utilities. Mortgage. But with the mortgage, you have to change it on the house title first. The township/village won't let you change it on the property taxes until that's done, and then on your home insurance once all of that is done. Oh and your car payment, although they won't let you change it if they need to track it for the manufacturer's warranty. And of course your work e-mail changes too, so you have to let everyone know about that otherwise you won't get e-mails. I'm sure there's plenty of other stuff I'm forgetting at the moment now. Net result: three whole years later, half the stuff is still in my maiden name because I got sick of the hassle. And I still have my maiden name on my cell phone voice mail... because I just like hearing it every once in awhile. :wacky:

Okay, so say your father's last name is Smith, and your mother's last name is Doe. So your last name is Smith Doe. So then what if you get married to a guy whose last name is Yellow. Would your kid have a last name of Yellow Smith Doe, or Yellow Smith? Or something else?

Yip. I did that 3 years ago as of yesterday. I like my maiden name much better, but I decided to go the traditional route.

Why don't you give us an example of one of the questions, and then your response. That would be most helpful in advising you how to improve. I'm such a nerd, I kept a lot of my papers/etc. from high school. I should take some pictures of them and post it, that might help. :smart:
