  1. I think she was saying that the interview indicated that they did give Walt Jr. the money. On a different note... Hector's Bell is going for $16,750 (at the moment) in the Screendbid Auction. :stunned:
  2. Chicago's setlist: Before Your Very Eyes... Default The Clock Ingenue Stuck Together Pieces Unless And It Rained All Night Harrowdown Hill Dropped Cymbal Rush Encore: Skip Divided Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses Rabbit in Your Headlights Paperbag Writer Amok Encore 2: What the Eyeballs Did (live debut) Atoms for Peace Black Swan A couple of personal surprises: Default is one of my faves on the album, but I did NOT like how it translated live. On the other hand, I'm not a fan of Ingenue or Amok, but both of those were fantastic live. Highlights: Before Your Very Eyes and Stuck Together Pieces. I was pleased to see that people taking pics and vids was at a minimum; that's the least I've ever seen. Everybody was just focused on enjoying the show.
  3. All I can say is... Bravo, Breaking Bad. Bravo. I guess the only person I kinda feel sad for is Lydia's daughter. And on that topic, turns out I was wrong on my prediction of who Walt would use the ricin on (I thought he would use it on himself after he finished everything). I think Jesse probably moved to Alaska. :dazzled:
  4. ^ Yeah I watched it last night, he made 3 appearances! That was cool. Oh and here's the candy my sister made. Even when I rotate the pic and then upload it, it still comes out like this... ugh, sorry.
  5. whoa it's Brent how've you been dude Yeah and these people with megaphones were yelling at us over and over "do NOT... release... the balloons!" It was pretty cold and our fingers were getting numb and it was getting to the point where we couldn't feel whether we were actually holding the balloons so we were scared about mistakenly letting go of the balloons because then the megaphone people would yell at us. But other than that it was a good time and we met a lot of people from here. :nice:
  6. My sister made some of that earlier this year, I'll see if I can find her picture... edit: Oh yeah, and I got one of these the other day, just waiting for it to get here :dazzled:
  7. ^ Yeah I watched the very first episode when they aired it last night. I completely forgot that Walt tried to kill himself on the first episode! :surprised:
  8. Well, last week's episode ended probably just a few days before the "flash forward" at the beginning of the season, so it's certainly doable... especially considering last week's episode spanned a period of several months. Essentially...
  9. Oh and it case y'all haven't heard about it yet, there is going to be a memorabilia auction; it starts next week and lasts for about a week. http://screenbid.auctionserver.net/view-auctions/catalog/id/6 Hector's bell would be awesome, but even the starting bid is insane. I'd rather just get one at an antique store and pretend.
  10. I feel so bad for Jesse, crikey. And...
  11. Thanks! I'll let her know.
  12. Hey, does anybody know what would be a good way for someone to watch the second half of season 5 (from their phone and/or Kindle)? I have a friend who is catching up on the entire series via Netflix, but Netflix doesn't have the second half of season 5 yet. I wasn't sure if there was a good repository for that online somewhere.
  13. Official says 12 killed, others hurt in shooting inside Washington Navy Yard military building WASHINGTON (AP) - BREAKING UPDATE: DC police chief: 12 dead in shootings at Washington Navy Yard. PREVIOUS STORY: As many as three gunmen opened fire Monday inside one of the Navy's oldest buildings, attacking office workers at a heavily guarded military facility in the heart of the nation's capital. At least six people were killed. One of the gunmen was dead, and police were searching for two other men believed to have joined in the attack at the Washington Navy Yard. The suspects were reportedly dressed in military-style clothing, including one who had on a beret. In all, more than a dozen people were shot, at least half of them fatally. It was not immediately clear whether that number included the dead gunman. The attack unfolded just a short distance from the White House and the U.S. Capitol at a former shipyard that is one of the Navy's oldest shore facilities. The building that was targeted was the military's headquarters for Naval Sea Systems Command, which buys, builds and maintains ships, submarines and combat systems. About 3,000 people work at the headquarters, many of them civilians. Witnesses described a gunman opening fire from a fourth-floor overlook, aiming down on people in the first-floor cafeteria. Others said a gunman fired at them in a third-floor hallway. It was not clear whether the witnesses on different floors were describing the same gunman. As emergency vehicles and law enforcement officers flooded streets around the complex, a helicopter hovered overhead, nearby schools were locked down and airplanes at nearby Reagan National Airport were briefly grounded so they would not interfere with law-enforcement choppers. Less than 2 miles away, security was beefed up at the Capitol and other federal buildings, but officials said there was no known threat. President Barack Obama mourned yet another mass shooting in the U.S. that he said took the lives of American patriots. Obama promised to make sure "whoever carried out this cowardly act is held responsible." Two Navy officials confirmed at least six people had died. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about the situation publicly. Todd Brundidge, an executive assistant with Navy Sea Systems Command, said he and other co-workers encountered a gunman in a long hallway on the third floor. The gunman was wearing all blue, he said. "He just turned and started firing," Brundidge said. Terrie Durham, an executive assistant with the same agency, said she also saw the gunman firing toward her and Brundidge. "He aimed high and missed," she said. "He said nothing. As soon as I realized he was shooting, we just said, 'Get out of the building.'" Rick Mason, a civilian program-management analyst for the Navy, said a gunman was shooting from the overlook in the hallway outside his office. Shortly after the gunfire, Mason said, someone on an overhead speaker told workers to seek shelter and later to head for the gates at the complex. Patricia Ward, a logistics-management specialist, said she was in the cafeteria getting breakfast. "It was three gunshots straight in a row — pop, pop, pop. Three seconds later, it was pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, so it was like about a total of seven gunshots, and we just started running," Ward told reporters several blocks away from the Navy Yard. Ward said security officers started directing people out of the building with guns drawn. One person died at George Washington University Hospital of a single gunshot wound to the left temple, said Dr. Babak Sarani, director of trauma and acute care surgery. A police officer and two civilian women were in critical condition at Washington Hospital Center, said Janis Orlowski, the hospital's chief operating officer. Orlowski said the police officer was in the operating room with gunshot wounds to the legs. One woman had a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The other had gunshot wounds to the head and hand. Naval Sea Systems Command is the largest of the Navy's five system commands and accounts for a quarter of the Navy's entire budget. Only security personnel were allowed to be armed on the campus. The Navy Yard has three gates, according to its website. One is open around the clock and must be used by visitors. A second gate is only for military and civilian Defense Department employees. The other gate is for bus traffic. The Navy Yard is part of a fast-growing neighborhood on the banks of the Anacostia River in southeast Washington, just blocks from the Nationals Park baseball stadium. link
  14. That pretty much sums it up. I already knew that things were going to get all Greek and/or Shakespearian tragedy-ish in the last few episodes, but actually seeing it happen is just... whoa.
  15. That sounds about right.
  16. Each season is better than the previous season. However, even if you don't really care for episode 1, you should really still watch the entire season to get the full story as a setup for the rest of the series. Overall it just keeps getting better and better.
  17. That sounds like Laneway! :surprised: (I live near Meadowbrook.)
  18. Mikey needs to come back.
  19. Oh and I watched this last night. Jimmy nailed a lot of Walt's mannerisms! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duKL2dAJN6I]"Joking Bad" - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon - YouTube[/ame]
  20. Speaking of Saul... :cheesy: ‘Breaking Bad’ Spinoff, ‘Better Call Saul,’ Is Picked Up by AMC The news for “Breaking Bad” fans isn’t all bleak, as their much-loved series draws to a close. Saul Goodman will be back in his own series. AMC and the Sony Pictures Television announced on Wednesday that “Better Call Saul” — the long-rumored spinoff of “Breaking Bad” — is going forward, with Bob Odenkirk set to star as Saul, the morally compromised lawyer who has represented the meth dealers Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. The news behind the announcement is that AMC is the network that wound up with the show. Despite the iconic status achieved by “Breaking Bad,” the network did not jump to buy the spinoff; that hesitation allowed several other networks to express serious interest in picking it up. The negotiations went down to the wire, according to one executive briefed on the details. AMC had an exclusive negotiating period, but no deal was in place by the time that ended. Out of consideration for the partnership over “Breaking Bad,” however, the period was extended and AMC and Sony concluded a deal. The planned series, which does not yet have a date to go on the air, will be a prequel rather than a sequel — which, for rabid “Bad” fans, who continue to obsess over every possible outcome of the series, means the Saul character does not necessarily survive. The new show will cover the evolution of Saul into the colorful character “Bad” fans have come to love. link
  21. s'all good, man lol I made a funny It was so awesome on Talking Bad this week to find out that Mike's character almost never existed. Saul was supposed to be the one to get rid of Jane's body, but Bob Odenkirk wasn't available for filming, so they "created" Mike to do the job. One of my favorite characters only came about because of a scheduling snafu!!!
  22. I wish they made female sizes instead of just unisex in the online store
