'More than 10' dead in M5 crash, Southwest England
So sad. :disappointed: Isn't that the same road that had the really bad accident that Nettie died in a few years ago?

Radiohead
How timely, There Will Be Blood is on the tele right now. *watching it for the first time*

What made you happy today?
Having a coworker tell me that he sat next to Jack White on a plane earlier this week. :surprised: Apparently nobody else on the plane realized who he was. :| And when my coworker was telling other people in the office about it, they were like, "who's Jack White?" :| :| :|

Occupy Wall Street Movement
WOW, is that for real? And that's pretty short notice, less than a week to get the word around. And I'll bet word won't get around nearly enough. The two main things that are going to freak out some people are: Emergency tests are usually Local in nature... not National. People are used to emergency tests lasting half a minute; if it gets much longer than that, people will likely think it is a real emergency. eeek

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
^ I did a word search on "oh"... it appears 85 times in those lyrics. And that's only for 5 songs. :|

Radiohead
Okay I haven't really listened to DOOM at all before this, so... I actually like the beat, etc., but the way he laid down the verses just sounded incredibly lazy. It didn't jive with the beat. He could have almost doubled the amount of lyrics and just spit it out faster, with more "urgency"/effort, and it would have sounded a lot better. I can envision Esham or someone along those lines doing something pretty dope with this beat, but I don't think that would ever happen. lol Fren = friend

Radiohead
Wow all the hate makes me not very excited to listen to it when I get home.
-
So who else thinks this is by far Coldplay's weakest album yet?
LOL my husband would definitely appreciate this comment.
-
New Coldplay eh?
My husband thinks that Katy Perry's face looks like it went through a meat grinder.

One good thing, One bad thing about the album
I actually kinda liked that... :anxious:

So who else thinks this is by far Coldplay's weakest album yet?
** friendly reminder ** Everyone has the ability to add people that annoy them to their ignore list, under User CP --> Settings & Options.

One good thing, One bad thing about the album
Good thing: Jonny is making quite the appearance throughout MX. Bad thing: Moving to Mars isn't on the album. It should be after Charlie Brown.

If you were to recommend 5 songs to a person whos never listened to coldplay what would you recommen
Garrrr. I'm gonna cheat here. I'll give a top 5 list of "commercially recognizable songs", and a top 5 list of "definitive yet not very well known songs". Honestly I think that's really the only to get what Coldplay are really all about. These are in no particular order. Commercially Recognizable Songs Yellow Clocks Fix You VLV Trouble Definitive Yet Not Very Well Known (by casual fans and non-fans) Songs I Ran Away Amsterdam See You Soon Moving to Mars The Goldrush

2011 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
Although the list is shown in the order that people have posted in the thread, the ticket exchange is first come first serve. The people selling their tickets don't necessarily have to sell tickets to the first available person on the list if they don't want to. If you see that somebody is selling the ticket(s) that you want, even if you're not the first person on the list for your venue... send them a PM! :nice: I will quote part of the first post below, as a reminder for other people as well. The first sentence is the important one.

Member of the Month!!
November 2011 ! A fresh month brings fresh yellow members! In November we would like to thank jeremyy and ApproximatelyInfinite for their contributions to the board. jeremyy helped us immensely all throughout the festival season with keeping her 2011 Live Shows Online thread up to date and therefore made it the perfect place to check when and where to follow the next live broadcast. ApproximatelyInfinite's calendar for the month of October gave us all a handy overview and brought some order into the flood of events. Thank you both!

Paradise *OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO!* (Youtube Video In First Post, plus 1-10 elephant poll))
Frankly I was relieved when I saw the video, I'm glad they scrapped the original video which had an underwear supermodel prancing around. Well, I suppose I don't know if she was actually prancing around, but just the idea of Coldplay having a Hype Williams-directed "video ho" made me cringe.

War With Radiohead's Message Board!!!
I always find it amusing when people decide to make their very first post in this thread, on the same day they join. Particularly when this thread was nowhere near page 1 before the bump.
