6-Mar-2010: Foro Sol, Mexico City, Mexico - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
Wow -- 9 AM! I knew this was going to be different from my Viva concert experience here in the States but reading these details blows my mind! :shocked2: Let me give you an idea of the potential difference... I had the the "Gen A" tickets for the show I saw this past year, strolled in half an hour before it started, walked right up towards the stage and although I wasn't directly up against the barrier, I still managed to take awesome pictures with my iphone camera. So needless to say, I'm going to be in a for a shock when I arrive at Foro Sol around 3:30 this upcoming Saturday! At least I have Sunday's show to collect more butterflies for my collection. :wink3: Also: I'm looking for 2 General A tickets for friends, Saturday night. Anyone have extras they're trying to sell??

:dizzy: Reading & responding to your comment at a decent hour vs at 3:30 AM in the morning allows me to see to error in my ways. Thank you for helping me realize my horribly stupid mistake! (Starting to realize that maybe 3.5 hours of sleep/night is starting to finally catch up with me.) :dizzy: Some people put chains around their refrigerators to keep them from eating in the middle of the night -- I need to install some sort of software that will prohibit me from posting on CP, sending emails, etc., :lipsealed2: but of course, not fully prevent me from reading other comments... :computer: Here's the real information ~ Roadie #42's blog from 14-Jan-10 2nd to last paragraph, RE: End of the Decade Sale & acknowledges reading the Coldplaying Auction thread. Probably doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but things got a bit hectic towards the end with a few veiled threats (well before people became friends :laugh3:) to uncensored remarks of jubilation... :uncensored:  So what, right? That can't be that bad... Well, comments never meant to be published within that particular thread were... :gossip: Not that they required PM's either -- just lots of fun chit chat among friends filled with private jokes. :wink3: Someone else "visiting" one of our individual pages found it all too funny and posted it back on the main thread. Nothing horribly perverted, terribly mean, or flat out demented -- just something not meant for "true" public consumption -- especially when it came to light that 42 reads this particular thread. If you're intrigued, I'm sure you'll find out soon enough! With the Latin American Tour ending and the next wave of items dispersing to winners, Mr. Cheeky "I think it's hilarious to embarrass you" surely will break out the copy & paste features once again. Whatever...so over it. * :P * :laugh3:

Helllooooo ladies (and/or the occasional gentlemen) ~ Holy sex on two legs!!! Front row seats to the Guy Berryman GUN SHOW!!!. Katie!!: A HUGE thank you for the msg but more importantly, the forewarning. Unprepared, I could've woken up the whole neighborhood. :o To Jenn: You are by far, my favorite Argentinian in the world (and yes, I know a few)! Thank you for sharing your pictures with us -- all of them -- because in addition to snagging the infamous pool pictures, you got a great one of the illusive Phil. *************************** Since I'm headed down there in a few days, I just want to make sure not to cross any "boundaries" and perhaps end up in jail... So, nature shots of the flora & fauna next to the pool is totally acceptable, just no blatant stalker shots? What if you only have a wide angle lens and/or one that people call the "baby paparazzi" whenever attached to the camera? It's not like that you're stalking that person because you're photographing the landscape...right? Just throwing it out there but for no particular reason... *************************** Thanks to the photos, I noticed that Guy has purchased iPhone #(?) for music, emails and internet surfing. Let's just hope that he doesn't lose this one for the sake of the December release date! Since I'm fairly certain Guy reads this thread -- (the recent television interview only further cemented this as a fact in my mind) -- I want to send out a true, heartfelt message to him. ***Hey, congrats to you on coming clean with your internet problem! First step is admitting the problem and right now, you're far better a person than I. Kudos....So is it during step 3 or 4 when you finally come clean & admit to reading this particular thread? Now to keep you out of future transportation lost iphone/lost music debacles, how about setting that new iphone on lockdown? :wink3: Settings tab; General/Passcode Lock. Etch a generic number on the outside (Beehive, your parents, or even Chris's private cell/home #) with the words: Lost! and then Reward. You'll be surprised how quickly the phone returns to you!!***:laugh3: *************************** Oh, and for all those who have not been introduced to my craziness yet -- I'm Amanda. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. Last thing to ponder...do "crushed" Berrygirls offset wine when they die?- 6-Mar-2010: Foro Sol, Mexico City, Mexico - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
Got to love the iphone sometimes! By the time i got to typing out and sending off my response, you beat me to the punch; but obviously with more informative details. :laugh3: I'm not arriving until 12:30 pm that afternoon, then of course I'll need to check in & change -- so I'm fairly certain that I'll be many, many, many people behind all of you for the queue. I have more confidence in saying I can somewhat guess which section of the stage you'll be heading towards Pris once inside, so perhaps I'll run into you over there.- 6-Mar-2010: Foro Sol, Mexico City, Mexico - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
It appears they're staying at all the same hotels as their last Latin American tour. So the question should be, where did they stay last time they were in Mexico City? :wink3:- 6-Mar-2010: Foro Sol, Mexico City, Mexico - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
Hi everyone~ I'm just stopping by to say a quick hello! :D I'm Afeather (Amanda), and I'm heading down from Virginia at the end of the week for both Foro Sol shows. Very excited to catch the tour one last time before it ends and more importantly, to do so in Mexico City since this is what/where inspired the Viva album in the first place. I read this thread about a month ago to get advice re: my Ticketmaster woes :veryangry2: (now solved thanks to a few posts -) but never got the chance to return. Lots of reading, translating & catching up to do -- especially advice on time to arrive at the venue, what to bring/not to bring, etc. Looking forward to the weekend! :laugh3:- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw

..At the very least, I'm sure Anchorman would tell/show the boys and it will make their day I'm sure to know it's not sitting on some investor's shelf or on Ebay, but in the hands of a true fan! :) Just my personal opinion, but I think the guys are already aware of the globe's new owner, her dedication to preserving such an important piece of Coldplay's band history, and last but not least, the general overall excitement felt by everyone here on Coldplaying.com that a true fan won this item vs someone just trying to make a profit off a nonprofit auction. Judging from the various tweets & posts from the band's gurus (Anchorman, Oracle, #42), plus personal communication between auction winners & Debs, one can infer that "they" do visit the Coldplaying boards once in awhile for a little look-see. :shocked2: Actually, there is no "inferring" with 42 :shifty: -- he openly admitted to reading the earlier auction posts and surely he's been reading the newer ones complete with our typed squeals of excitement & photos. Side note to #42:(Hi, how's it going? Great, great... Next time, could you please deposit your used gum in a trash/rubbish bin so Carrie doesn't feel compelled eat it off next decade's auction item du jour? Despite the travel stickers on the case, we still don't know all the places that strap has touched over the years. Most appreciated. Thanks.) Carrie: I am so upset that my email system once again labeled the updates for this thread as spam because I would have loved to have seen these photos in the daylight -- when screaming/squealing in excitement is acceptable vs one in the morning. If you're still taking photo requests, I'd love to send you one via a PM. You know, you should really consider charging for the "personalized photos" of the globe -- what a great way to work off some of that credit card debt!- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw

Carrie, thank you so much for posting the pictures. It made me get all giggly & filled with butterflies inside & overall happy like it was Dec 30/31st all over again. :laugh3: Just as Rick pointed out, I too think this is it for the auction items, (at least from those willing to share their good fortunes with others) and it will be 6-10 weeks before the second wave of items arrive and new photos are posted. :( How utterly sad!! :bigcry: Carrie, milk those remaining photos for all it's worth! :P- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
Looks like I need a bit of advice on how to post my photo's, but they're on photobucket: http://s824.photobucket.com/albums/zz170/rickenbacker_photos/?newest=1 Rick: Thanks for posting the photos of your bass, especially on Photobucket. I'm now debating between a photo mug or playing cards of the blue boy... Carrie, maybe you should also consider photobucket? A mousepad of the Roadie 42's chewing gum would brighten my desk for sure! :laugh3:- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw

How is that even possible?! Good thing you're a Will luva then **************************************** I wasn't even going to go there... If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm a huge joker, and was just having a good time poking fun at Guy's expense these past couple of weeks. It's not like I don't like the "Guy" -- I bought his damn jacket!! :guy: However, nothing like a post from the Oracle to remind you of how overextended & exhausted the multi-talented, very handsome Guy Berryman is at the moment. :( Not to mention makes you, the author of such teases, feel slightly rotten for making fun of the COA signature aka line drawing than can be easily replicated by anyone. Really, it's so easy that a caveman could do it. :wink3: My new thoughts towards the COA: Guy was writing in his newly created Apparatjik alphabet. His book containing the new language, dictionary and primer, arrive in bookstores 4/4.- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw

Actually, your posting the link made my afternoon/life so much easier because I didn't have to go searching for it on eBay. I was slightly amused to see that their lithe was dinged up in the mail. Nice and straight through the middle of it too. Serves them right. Yes, I am rotten to the core but at least I can admit my faults.- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
Gesunheit, Carrie! :sick2: I think you need to go home, because I can hear you coughing and sneezing clear across the United States!! :ears: You poor, poor, person...how awful you must feel! You know what? I bet your bosses will even thank you for leaving early today because you're less likely to spread your infectious disease among coworkers. You are taking one for the team, Carrie -- what a genuine hero you are! So head home, put your feet up, wait patiently (if you can), and take at least two pictures when it finally arrives. Upload immediately. Now get out of there, Typhoid Carrie!! :escaping3: :laugh3:- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
BTW One of the Parachutes liths from the EODCS is back up for sale on Ebay (not Kidsco but by the initial buyer I suspect). Might be nice with the Globe NumbersGirl?! That's revolting. :veryangry2: Sure, some of us will be paying off credit cards for centuries, a few will have eat PB&J sandwiches for 2/3 meals a day for at least a couple of years, and a even a small contigency of us will justifying our purchases to loved ones until the day we die; but at least we were able to keep these items off of eBay a second time around. Despite a few hiccups in communicatoon and shipping, we should be happy knowing that our money went towards the charity of Coldplay's choice vs. someone's bank account. CyperJan – congrats on receiving your items and thank you so much for posting pictures. Admittedly, I went to the COA pic first. I’m a girl obsessed…with good penmanship. :smartass: So happy that Guy signed your actual item beautifully & distinctly because the whole “Guy* having a heart attack while writing his name” shtick found on the COA is just getting boring! I smell a conspiracy theory… :uhoh: *Guy is meant here in general terms Actually, I did come up a few riotous theories when I was at an appointment earlier today but since I’m not known for short posts, I won’t go into them here. :wink3: Carrie, Rick, et al -- anyone else looking for a bit of cheering up, let me know, and I’ll be happy to send them your way. :D Just trying to lighten up the mood a bit...I don’t mind taking a pie in the face for the sake of inciting laughter (either at, or with me). :laugh3:Frustratingly, many of us have lost the excitement we had a month ago when we won some pretty cool pieces of music history/memorabilia. Though it's as we say here in the States, the “pot calling the kettle black” because I’m right there with you, aka in a blah mood and officially over it; but to kill the time, I’m just trying to have a bit of fun. So if you’re interested in joining me in some good, old fashioned tomfoolery let me know! :jester: Congrats again, CyperJan!- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
I got my stamps too!! They're beautiful! Today's mail also included a surprise: a lovely mailer from the Royal Mail explaining the differences among their stamp collections, plus the dates of the other limited releases this year. I love unexpected surprises, especially via good, old fashioned snail mail. :happy2: PayPal: Yes, I can understand your frustration. :veryangry2: I'm right there with you, though I didn't go nearly as far up the chain of command like you did (probably because you already did so and got nowhere!). After jumping through all the hoops to get verified, submitting everything but my bloodtype and a retinal scan to PayPal and end up not paying with it due to fine print, I figured I'd better use it for something. So, I ended up running my Hope for Haiti donation through it and now I don't feel like I wasted time on a worthless effort. :laugh2: It's going to take about 1,000,0001 more Hope for Haiti experiences for me to think that PayPal isn't the  devil incarnate ; though for you, I'm guessing it's about ten times that and then some!- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
- Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
Sadly, it's been awhile since I've perused through this thread, but decided to give it a go as I desperately needed to wake up. Hot pictures of GRB works 10x faster than coffee, expresso, red bull, 5-hour energy, you name it. I about DIED when I clicked on this link & heard the music. Honestly, never laughed so hard in my life :laugh3: -- tears were streaming from my eyes. If I am EVER lucky enough to meet him in person, forget being nervous or scared. I just pray that I don't laugh so hard that I snort like a pig or fall down convulsing because Guyyyyyyy, Sexxxxxxyyyyyy eeeeeee Guyyyyyyyy and accompanying loud techno beat is going to be playing in my head for pretty much the rest of my life. Ten minutes later, and I'm still having serious difficulty looking at any of the pics on here without hearing it over and over again!  :laugh3: Clever. :sneaky: Clever and tricky -- that's who & what the creator of that video happens to be. Make us all giggle snort & look like fools when we meet Guy, just so you look all the more cool... So frustrated at myself for not thinking of this first!- Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
Yes, this was his special 08' election one, which not only gives it more historical significance, but also gives it a better provenance since it can be specifically attributed to Chris. On another note... Happy to see that Guy regained the feeling back in his hands! He not only played wonderfully tonight, but also signed the Oxfam jacket with beautiful and legible penmanship! :laugh3: - Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
