Mr. Berryman ~ I look forward to one day owning this jacket too. I'm loving the jacket's cut & color. New, yet still pays homage to previous tour pieces. :) As for the rest.. Overall I like it all, however I really wish Will were in something with a bit more POP of color. I fear he'll get lost in the depths of the stage/drum kit with the black & dark brown.
  2. I live five minutes away from an IMAX theater and yet the only place showing it nearby (35 minutes) is not -- so it's not exclusive to one particular film format. :laugh3: I didn't want to miss out so I bought tickets, but plan to keep checking back to see if the theater near my house pops up as an option as the event nears.
  3.    WOOHOO!!! I am so happy to have my 3 day pass in hand for this year's concert! Nothing like a bit of good news to get me back on here & posting -- especially when I want to give out a big squeeee!!!! Beyond the obvious, I couldn't be happier with the line-up! :laugh3: I wish every single person wanting a ticket the best of luck in securing them. Word of advise, log on a few minutes early if you can! Lauren: I have a slight suspicion about where you plan to stand, so perhaps we'll run into one another!
  4. Roadie42, First & foremost, welcome to Coldplaying. Noticing both your posts and your join date, I thought I'd give you a proper "hello" -- especially since you're a Texan. Now onto your query... I'm not only going to second Carrie's statement of "I'm not sure he'd take you up on it" but I'm going to go a step further and say you're more likely to ice skate in hell than buy the jacket from this member! Then again I do not officially speak for this person, so it wouldn't hurt if you wanted to PM this person. Best of luck~
  5. :) I wore heels until 6 1/2 months with my twins, at which point my husband put them under lock & key (no such thing as a low heel in my closet -- 3" at minimium.) Anyway, I found that people won't let you walk very far, nor stand for a very long so in reality, ones time on their feet in heels is rather limited. Besides, center of gravity already thrown off even barefoot so it doesn't really matter what you wear as long as you're comfortable & confident! :D
  6. I gave up on Heathrow tens of hours ago, but not the idea of getting across the pond. Will I make Liverpool tonight? No, but I will be in Newcastle tomorrow morning with the clothes on my back, showered in perfume & ready to meet the band. :smug:
  7. Lucky you re: Manchester! I tried for Manchester, Gatwick, Newcastle & even Glasgow but couldn't get anything. I'm smack dab in the middle if the US, headed back to the East Coast, an hour & half from my point of departure this morning. This is the only flight that's still "on schedule" to depart later on tonight and more impirtsntly, has an actual seat vs standby. Swimming is quickly becoming my best method for transportation at the moment!
  8. Flight canceled. Again. I purchased travel insurance with my new ticket yesterday so I'm depending on their 24 hr group to help with rerouting. Hell or high-water, I will be there even if I show up at the concert with my hair unkempt and wearing the same clothes I've worn for days. I pity the people standing near me, but that's what a bottle of good perfume is for, right?
  9. Yes, unfortunately I'm still trapped in the US, enjoying the "jetsetting lifestyle" during the holiday hustle & bustle. I'm literally ten feet away from a bar and seriously considering a double. Problem is I'm afraid I may not quit after one. Ha ha! My luck -- after 24 hours I finally queue to board a plane but stopped because I'm in a hopeless drunken stupor. :drunk: I have six more miserable hours to go, so remaining positive, I'm sure I'll get into Heathrow. Actually, I know I will. Then it's off to find a train line, bus, bobsled or a set of cross country skis to get me to Liverpool! RE: change to other airports -- tried that yesterday when original flight from NY to Amsterdam canceled without a whole lot of success. CHEERS, PEOPLE! :)
  10. I love the fact I get this news from the messageboard and not the airline. I've been rerouted, canceled, purchased another ticket, been sitting in airport lounges & eating airport snack mix or Starbucks. :\ I swear if I'm reduced to swimming, I'll do it at this point. I've invested too much emotionally to turn back now.
  11. I don't know how to multi-quote via tapatalk but when I first read Carrie's plea for b-sides, I smiled & planned to second that suggestion. :D However when I scrolled down & read Anna Elisabeth's spoiler re: Proof, I about died! No, I excuse me -- I WILL DIE if they they pull Proof, Things I Don't Understand, or naturally, Til' Kingdom Come out for old times sake. Ho hum...a girl can dream!
  12.          A huge thank you to Oz for solving our Liverpool ticket dilemma. So happy we finally get to complete our travel plans!
  13. Afeather replied to freckles's topic in The Lounge
Hi there, So it's taken me awhile to navigate through the forum despite being on here for a year now...I fell into the Lounge about a month ago and then found this thread a few weeks back. Admittedly & obviously, :uhoh: I did a bit of lurking :curtain: up until now. I want to thank you for introducing me to what has to be best/worst thing that could ever happen to me in my life: Polyvore. Just when I thought I had all the worst possible, fashion related time- sucks in the world beaten, I'm introduced to this baby. :P Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! :nice:
  14. Agreed! :P Ralphie shares a great deal of valuable life lessons throughout the film, so I suggest checking it out. Ex: I know if I fire a BB gun, I will without a doubt, shoot my eye out :borg:-- ergo, avoid BB guns or have a nice set of patsy icicles nearby for insurance.
  15. :uhoh: Something I should know about?!?! :anxious: BTW, thank you again for suggesting I try the tapatalk thing again. Loving it, and when I find I can't the board to come up due to WTFery (most likely network) I opt to wait vs resort to old method.
  16. WOW! Congratulations to lucky lot of you going on the excursion with Miller, Matt & Phil! :laugh3: Admittedly, I didn't read up on this particular contest until a few moments ago because of my OCD, laser-like focus towards the Liverpool/Newcastle auctions. :wideeyed: I swear -- you'll be hard pressed to find a more philanthropic, generous, and fan friendly group of individuals than the guys of Coldplay, not yo mention their respective crew & management. :D I'm not even going to bother saying "be sure to take plenty of pictures & post your stories!" because I'm fairly certain all 100 of you will. I'm green with envy...
  17. Hi, I'm posting the latest from Anchorman regarding the auction. Moderators: With the individual social groups for each show, I confused where I should post this message. Please merge/move as you see appropriate. :P ******************************** Hi (deleted) They're going to email something along these lines to bidders and post on the auction page... A A few customers have asked for some clarity on the auction process so we thought we would take the time to address the following questions – Q: If I bid for a VIP ticket and a standard ticket what happens if I win in each auction? A: In this instance your highest bid will be taken as your winning bid. You will not be asked to pay for two sets of tickets. Q: If I bid for a VIP ticket and I lose, does my bid get transferred to the standard auction? A: No, all bids are specific to the category they were entered in. If you want to increase your chances then you are advised to bid in both categories and then your highest bid will count. We hope that clears up any confusion! The auctions close at 2pm on Friday the 19th November and bidders will be emailed at 4pm to let them know if they are a winner
  18. Katie, I'm posting as per your request-- though not exactly my sentiments towards Jeff Buckley's untimely death. For me, to think to much about his death is admitting that a certain period of my life didn't just happen a few pages ago but rather many, many chapters before.
  19. Hi creamyhead, Greetings & salutations! Longtime viewer and rather rare poster myself. Here's the skinny on the auction: 19-Nov at 2 pm: Auction closes Seetickets will then spend the next week notifying winners either by email or mobile 26-Nov: Payment due on the credit card you plan to bring to show. Seetickets will call winners on mobile phones to collect payment. (For my sake & sanity, I sincerely hope they wait to call the US last-- I foresee lots of Americans having wine hangovers from the Thanksgiving holiday the night before!) Bidding: I believe once you do the drop down and choose the number of tickets, you then decide the cost PER ticket you want to pay. Then I believe you multiply that number by the number of tickets you're requesting. Ex: 2 tickets at the min £250 so your bid would read £500 for the VIP auction and so on... Unfortunately, the system doesn't notify you of your standing, so it's a total crap shoot. Who knows if your bid for £999 will puts you in second or twentieth place? Best of luck & hope this info helps!
  20. A few of us are sweating it out, fingers double-crossed at the moment, waiting nervously for this auction to end :anxious: -- so the Newcastle crowd may have a few more CP'ers on hand that evening. If I end up winning, I foresee expanding the bucket list or living cautiously from here on out!
  21. Why, thank you! Thought I should “decorate” a bit since I've been around for a year now. :laugh3: edit - remainder of post deleted
