  1. Agreed - I did send Amanda a message earlier today - don't know if it is at all helpful, but I have imported something in the past that was held up due to its classification as a "textile". I can imagine that she is very frustrated and concerned about the situation. :\ Jason
  2. Okay, so my guitar finally made it out of customs limbo and was delivered today! I have to say, it is incredibly surreal... I look at it and it still doesn't quite register... Here are a few quick pics - will take better ones over the weekend. There were some "Lovers in Japan" butterflies neatly folded and inserted into the guitar (see before above and after below). I can't tell you how cool this guitar is - it's unbelievable... And it has a nameplate on the back ("BLACKY")! Jason
  3. Awesome, Angie! Congrats again, and thanks for the great pics. What's it like to finally have it? :) Jason
  4. I did not receive any notice either; just the DHL call today. Per DHL tracking, mine was shipped on April 29th. The woman I spoke with at DHL said there were 4-5 other guitars there with mine. Jason
  5. Awesome! I got a call from DHL today - mine is in the States, but got delayed... hopefully will arrive tomorrow or Friday. Looking forward to your pics! Jason
  6. I haven't had any recent updates either, but figured it would be a while... :) Jason
  7. Can you stand in line, admire the guitars, and then not get on the rollercoaster? I'm not a fan of rollercoasters, but love guitars... Jason
  8. Mine was in response to an e-mail I had sent her a while ago... Jason
  9. Hope you feel better soon. Lot's of nasty flu and viruses going around to be sure... Also, I forgot to mention something else I noticed in the Tokyo show from the MTV World Stage broadcast... Looks like Jonny is using one of those guitars at the beginning of 'The Scientist' as well... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGC9VklBaag]YouTube- Coldplay - The Scientist [WS][HD][/ame] Then a bit after halfway through, he switches to the "starburst" electric guitar... Jason
  10. :laugh3: I feel like Leonardo DiCaprio should be in that photo somewhere too, warning of icebergs! Jason
  11. It was in response to an e-mail I sent on March 22nd... so I seriously doubt it. :) Jason
  12. Yeah, hopefully they won't run into any pirates. Er, or icebergs or anything... Jason
  13. You know what they say about glass houses... The Sun "Singer’s £8k on C-3PO & R2-D2" I was contacted by several people who had said that this "E.T." BMX bike is a replica... (see my blog article circa 2008) Last month this was also noted in an article by WIRED magazine ("Motor: Where Are Your Favorite Movie Cars Now?") Jason
  14. That is actually a different guitar - it looks like Chris must have had one painted similarly, that he didn't use much (I've only seen it used on the B-Stage performances). If you compare side-by-side, you can see the differences: Jason
  15. Afeather, I wonder if one of the Gibsons seen in this photo is yours? Jason
  16. Oops, just saw the other topic here... guess that is not news. :) Jason
  17. This is legit, per the Coldplay Facebook fan page... Jason
  18. Anyone familiar with this? Coldplay Butterfly Painting - Chrysalis Collection Keech Hospice Care Jason
  19. Here is an example of the risks in collecting autographs: Lawsuits And Controversy Over Autographed Memorabilia With Doctored Celebrity Signing Photos I write a lot of articles about memorabilia fraud, and I would put little faith into COAs and/or eBay feedback, generally speaking. I've helped to expose sellers with thousands of positive feedback and certificates of authenticity as frauds. I personally only collect autographs if I personally obtain them or if they come from a "direct" source (i.e. a company officially licensed to represent the maker of the autograph). Autographs in particular are very easy to fake, especially in the Internet/Photoshop era. Jason
