  1. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pXAb2pM0-8]YouTube Video - GPASUYF[/ame] Jason
  2. My pleasure. By the way, anyone can reuse any of the pics I've taken as you'd like. Trying to upload some videos, but hotel internet is super S L O W... Will probably take all night to put one up. Got GPASUYF and Politik in their entirety. Politik came out especially good as I zoomed in on the different members are different bits (like will pounding the hell out of his set). Also video'd some other bits. Awesome show - can never get enough CP live. Was great to meet some more Coldplaying members and hang out and chat, and some of us got together for dinner after the show. Great fun! Thanks for the best online forum out there, busybeeburns! ;) Really makes for a better experience when you can connect up with a lot of wonderful people. Jason
  3. Some pics... (just watching recorded on Jimmy Kimmel now from hotel room ): Yes, they played Charlie Brown and ETIAW twice... (and skipped LOST!, Violet Hill, Shiver, and maybe some others) Here is the set list I tweeted earlier: Awesome show! Will be posting some video... Jason
  4. Sitting on the plane, waiting to take off... See you on the other side! Jason
  5. I'll be at this concert and meeting up with other CPing members here... :) Jason
  6. We're all going to be at the venue in about 24 hours... I don't think it will sink in for me for another 23 hours though... Jason
  7. By the way, here is a map of UCLA: http://www.ucla.edu/map/ucla-campus-map.pdf Jason
  8. I got to meet Matt McGinn at the Newcastle gig: Really, really nice guy! Jason
  9. :laugh3: Sounds like that should be a line from an 80s action movie... Jason
  10. I'm still waiting for someone to put together a YouTube compilation of Chris tossing his electric guitar after playing GPASUYF... for some reason, it just cracks me up. Would love to see/hear them play Christmas Lights again! :D Um, probably going to have to wait on that one... Jason
  11. I have a feeling that this will be an incredible show... Jason
  12. :laugh3: Wow, I can't even visualize that sandwich! All it's missing is some fried butter... Thanks for the ideas though - sounds like we have some options then. I'd vote for any of those that are walkable... and I think part of it will depend on how many people are interested. Sounds like of those you mentioned, BJs would be the best for a large group as they can accommodate a lot of people with larger tables, etc.? Jason
  13. Any ideas for a place to have a get together after the concert? Is there anything decent (and open late) that is walking distance? Jason
  14. As a follow-up to the earlier discussion about what kinds of cameras are allowed, this is an excerpt from my VIP e-mail details... Jason
  15. Sorry for the slow reply - was at Comic Con last week through the weekend and just catching up on the thread... Please add me to the e-mail list - [email protected] I'd be interested in connecting to other VIP attendees and meeting up somewhere after... Thanks! Jason
  16. Do you think it might be easier to have a meet up somewhere for a after show gathering (instead of before)? Since locals might have work before (being a weekday) and some people like to get to the show earlier than others... Anyway, I'd be in for a meet up if we can figure something out. Also, for those with VIP tix, we can meet during the pre show stuff too, if you'd like? Jason DeBord (916) 813-1797 - cell
  17. Looks sold out at the moment, at least. I tried 2 tickets and single tickets (and VIP) just to see if anything was available and all returned nothing. I wonder if most were sold through in the pre-sales? Jason
  18. Just because such things kind of fascinate me... There are currently 535 tickets for sale on StubHub alone, ranging in price from $140-$535. Here is a listing of what has actually sold, as of five minutes ago, the location, and what they sold for (price, section, qty, date sold): Jason
  19. Regarding the camera discussion, I've found it to be challenging to plan for what to bring to concerts, and it has less to do with what is printed on the tickets and more to do with the security for the event. I think it is more difficult to bring any sort of camera into venues that regularly hold concerts and the like, and it can be a little more lax at venues such as this that are 1) one off shows and 2) aren't actual arenas and the like. When I went to the hidden gig shows in England, I brought my Canon 5D MKII both times and openly took photos and no one cared. The only interference I saw from security was to talk to a guy who actually brought a tripod and videocamera and set it out in front of him to videotape the entire show (!!!). On the other hand, I've gone to concerts at small wineries and been yelled at for taking a few photos with my phone... The funny thing is, the better and more portable and capable technology gets, it seems like we take 10 steps backwards in some cases, like the talk last month about the iPhone possibly being disabled at concerts in the future (see Daily Mail story).
