  1. I swear to GOD Chris reads this thread and knows exactly what we are talking about. I just KNOW it.
  2. I'll be there! I'm bringing a friend who has never seen Coldplay before. We're in section 115 and I'm hoping the C stage will be nearby. Look for me - I'll likely be wearing my light blue shirt I had for Lollapalooza with my Coldplayer name on the back!
  3. From the latest Roadie #42 blog - I believe this supports my observation that our hero is wearing longer shirts now. And yes, I did witness the removal of said shirt, not once but twice. The act occurs just before the band moves out to the X stage, so right at the end of GPASUYF. I will be at the Detroit show on Wednesday and will pay close attention and TRY to get a photo (I just went through all of the couple hundred I took at the Toronto shows and hate to report that I failed you - I think the sight just shook me up so much I couldn't get a decent snap). I will be better prepared on Wednesday. For those of you going to Chicago, keep your eyes open right after he tosses the guitar! The lights go down and he moves to just in front of Will to change shirts!
  4. Ariel, that is lovely! I so admire people who are artistic. I'm not - I can't even draw good stick figures. :laugh3: I'll look forward to seeing this on Wednesday - would love to have one for myself! And I'll bet if Chris sees you he'll want to use it during LiJ. He always used to open up a red Chinese parasol during that song during the Viva tour!
  5. Hello, fellow Chrissygirls, A little picsspam from the Toronto shows. They're a little dark but the better to see the gleam of the ARMS.
  6. Chris: "While Paris was here with his spray cans I had him Mylo up the keyboard some more. Kind of a plaid pattern, don't you think, Will?" Will: "Where the HELL did middle C go?"
  7. ^ I just saw your siggie and burst out laughing. Genius.
  8. Miller takes it about 10 minutes before Coldplay comes on stage.
  9. Yes, he changed in front of the crowd (back to us) just before going out to the X stage. He also changed somewhere on the way to the C stage. He did this both nights.
  10. OK, I'm back home from Toronto but with not much extra news. Last night I did not even get a glimpse of tummy. It appears that he is wearing longer shirts! But now I will scour through my pics to see if I get a glimpse of chest hair. I do have a couple of good "arms" pix that I'll post later. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The man is stunning when you see him live. And making eye contact with him.... swoon. Can't wait for Detroit next week!
  11. Back in the States after going to both Toronto shows. Both were amazing. The crowd on the 23rd was fantastic around where I was sitting! And eye contact with Chris... well, that's just mind-blowing. Others have posted great reviews so I'll just say this. Each time I see Coldplay they remind me why I am a fan - even though I'm quite a bit older than the typical one. All around me were kids, parents, young people - even folks my age. The appeal of this band is astonishing and when you see them live you can see why. They are one of the hardest working bands out there and really care about us - it's clear. That's why I'll be going to Coldplay shows as long as I possibly can. I will be seeking volunteers to help me with my walker one day, but I'll keep on going!
  12. Safe home back in the States after the trip to Toronto. Both shows were epic. The crowd around me on the 24th wasn't as into it as the one on the 23rd - one woman in front of me sat fanning herself with her VIP pass almost the whole time (I think if you're in the first ten rows and sit down, you should forfeit your ticket to a Coldplayer) and when I stood up to dance to "99 Problems" people looked at me like I was crazy. But the show was so wonderful and I am so proud of the boys. They all give it 110%! And both nights I teared up during DLIBYH - the segue out of a song like "Trouble" just somehow grabs my heart. Chris ran up and down the ramp and across the stage giving little bows before joining the others for the big bow at the end - and the look on his face made me think he really means it, really appreciates the fans. As the crowd filtered out I noticed a stagehand picking up Guy's yellow guitar picks - edged my way up and asked one of the guards if I could have one. "They're not giving anything out," he told me. I smiled, edged my way further over, and asked another guard. He reached up and got two from the stagehand, gave one to a girl next to me and one to me! So in addition to a lot of lovely memories - including meeting Alexis16 and TracieMorgan - I have a wonderful souvenir. Can't wait for Detroit next Wednesday!
  13. Just back from the show. My smartphone isn't picking up internet so I can't post pics but I will tell you that it was amazing. No camera issues at all. Chris is wearing some kind of brace on his elbow - left, I think. Great crowd and great venue. Will post pics when I can. Have I ever mentioned that I love this band?
  14. My smartphone isn't working (who knew Canada is a whole 'nother country and I'd have to have international turned on?) so I'm in the business center of my hotel. Can't upload any pictures but I have two things to tell you after tonight's Toronto show. 1) The happy trail is GONE. Where and why I do not know but the cleaned off skin was in front of me a couple of times. 2) The naked back was in front of me as well as Chris changed shirts in the shadows. I tried to get a pic but doubt it came out. We'll see. Oh, and one more thing. This show was freakin' amazing. And I love this band. I must wind down now. More later.
  15. Safe travels to everyone who's headed to Toronto today, including me! Catch you in the confetti!
  16. Here's the info for the VIP Will Call: Coldplay VIP WILL CALL table located at the Gate 1 box office in the Galleria, leading from Union Station, with entry points from Bay Street and Bremner Blvd. Please look for the VIP WILL CALL signs. The VIP Will Call will open at 5:00 and after 7:30 tickets can be picked up at the box office. If yours are regular floor tickets I think they can be picked up at the box office, which someone said opens at 9:30 a.m.
  17. This thread has been a little quiet today. I keep coming back and looking at this GIF, and thinking that Chris is issuing me a challenge for next week: "You think you're gonna check out that happy trail, do you, Jilly? Really?" Yes, Chris. Really.
  18. I'm confused, too. I have VIP tix for both the 23rd and 24th and in the communication they sent out it says "Non-professional cameras and cell phone cameras are allowed during the concert and at the VIP reception." But the LiveNation Advisory I received in Email said no cameras are allowed. So I'm going to only take my cell phone on the 23rd and if I see that cameras are getting in I will post something on this thread for the benefit of the folks attending on the 24th.
  19. This is really making me think that they are going to record these shows for the DVD. They like the Air Canada Centre (remember the 2005 video?).
  20. Detective Jilly joining the agency and reporting for duty. It's a dirty, rotten job but somebody has to do it. Like I said, I'll take one for the squad. As you know, I'm one of the "older" fangirls - the rest of you youngsters have your whole lives ahead of you. And maybe still your ovaries.
  21. I am going to both Toronto shows and have great seats (5th row one night, 7th the next, by the ramp). I will volunteer to take one for the squad and check out the presence (or lack thereof) of the trail. It's because I'm a giver.
  22. And you can both try to act like you don't know me as I groove to EVERYTHING. Bringing my friend who has never seen Coldplay before! We have seats in Section 114 and I am praying that the C stage will be close by.
  23. I'm going to both shows, arriving early in the afternoon on Monday. I'm really hoping that on Tuesday they'll do something at Much Music. I've got VIP seats, Floor L for the first show, Floor R for the second. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up!
  24. I was at the show in DC on Sunday night and I did notice that he was wearing his rings on his right hand - usually they're on his left. I don't know why he changed them over. I'll have to find some Monday pix and see if there's any difference.
  25. Also they are predicting heavy thunderstorms this afternoon/evening in the area. Plan accordingly, maybe leave early.
