Did you like 'Christmas Lights'?
I really like the song... The tune is really nice, and I'm loving the lyrics. Especially the last part with the: "Oh Christmas lights light up the street, light up the fireworks in me. May all your troubles soon be gone, those Christmas lights keep shining on" It's a really beautiful song, it's been on replay since I first heard it!

Best Coldplay Lyrics Ever
Some of my favorites: *Tears streaming down your face when you lose something you cannot replace* *Tears streaming down your face, I promise you I will learn from my mistakes* (And all the Fix You lyrics, but they've all been left here) *Blame it all upon a rush of blood to the head* - A Rush of Blood to the Head *Slowly breaking through the daylight* - Daylight *When you thought that it was over, you could feel it all around, everybody is out to get you, don't you let it drag you down. Cause if you ever feel neglected, and if you think that all is lost. I'll be counting up my demons yeah, hoping everything's not lost* - Everything's Not Lost *The hardest part was letting go, not taking part* - The Hardest Part *We've been living life inside a bubble* - High Speed *Look at earth from outer space, everyone must find their place. Give me time and give me space, give me real don't give me fake. Give me strength, reserve control. Give me heart and give me soul. Give me time, give us a kiss, tell me your own politik* - Politik *Did you want me to change? Well I changed for good. And I want you to know that you'll always get your way. I wanted to say... Don't you shiver* - Shiver And I love the last part of Square One which has been said already, but it's pure awesome. Also the entire DAOHF

Guy to co-produce The Pierces' new album
That's great news!! I love The Pierces!!! Their last album - "Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge" - is awesome! You can't get their album here (Argentina), I actually searched everywhere... And then I went to France during the summer and couldn't find it there either... I got it online though, and it's brilliant. Each song in there is amazing... Especially 'Secret', 'Sticks and Stones', 'Go to Heaven', 'Three Wishes', 'Ruin' (all of them lol)... Anyway I bet their next album is going to be even more amazing if Guy is working with them! =D

Coldplay say YES! to Glee
I agree... But I also think that each band has its own "image" which is always a big part of who they are. I think Coldplay has always kept a more 'reserved' image, trying to emphasize only themselves playing their music, and take away the attention from all the other things that often come along with the business. They have always - I think - put emphasis on 'keeping the mistery', making that an important part of who they are as a band. It's a whole image that comes along with the product, and ultimately it's part of who they are. They've always been focused only on making music, and playing it, always keeping the mistery and trying to get people to focus only on that. It's the image they have sold along with their music. So while I really enjoy Glee, I think having their songs on the show would have taken away a bit from this essence. That being said though, I personally wouldn't have minded seeing their songs on the show, and it would have - without a doubt - reached people who don't listen to them since Glee is getting so popular now, and as you said, shown their fun side!

Why did Coldplay left off to play Speed Of Sound live?
I think Fix You is a "must" for the live concert... In fact, when I saw it live it was probably one of the highlights of the show, definitely. I believe it's a more powerful song to hear played live than Speed of Sound, so I wouldn't trade them... I like Speed of Sound but I didn't miss it throughout the show, I think they put in enough songs of the same "style"... I do wish they included one or two more songs from Parachutes though, in the concert I went to they only played Yellow from the first album. I would have loved just one more from it, maybe during the acoustic set or something. That would have been great. Still I think they did a good job with the set list, I bet it's hard to get a good solid set list, and this one did a good job at really capturing the spirit of Viva la Vida.

When people say X&Y was "overproduced".
Personally, I like many songs in X&Y but I do think that out of the four albums, it's maybe the "worst" one. I think the problem with it is that it doesn't feel like a very solid, thought out album. I think mostly they tried to make an album that would follow along the same lines as the previous ones, and so that ended up not working. Cause as they said in many interviews, it's better when they start from the beginning, as if they were new. With each album start from a blank page, because if not it happens like in X&Y that they tried to "copy" themselves, but at the same time make a somewhat different record, and so that's when the album became overproduced. I think what people mean when they say it's overproduced is that they maybe put more thought into making the songs sound like what they thought would sell, with louder sounds, more electronic instead of just focusing on what they wanted to play. In turn what happened is that there's a lot of mixing, outside sounds, and more electronic which took away from the melodic sound that they usually do very well, the kind of ballady-rock that was so popular in the first albums. In fact my favorite songs from X&Y (Fix You, A Message, The Hardest Part) are the most "melodic" of the whole album... Also I think it wasn't very well thoughtout out as an album, like it feels like the sons were just "thrown" there, other than put in a well-thought out order. Like in Viva la Vida I feel like it's an album with a beginning and an end, the songs are where they are because they follow a certain theme. Like it wouldn't be the same if VLV was the first track there and not LIT1... Instead in X&Y it feels like maybe if they were put in a different order it would be the same because it doesn't have a bigger meaning other than "this is one song we recorded"... "this is another song we recorded". This is just what I think though, I'm no expert in music. And I completely love some songs in X&Y, I just think the album as a whole was maybe just a product of all the fame and popularity they were gaining, and comercial success. Whereas you can see the difference with a record like VLV where they decided to get their own recording studio, do their own thing, really get into playing together again for fun, and play what they wanted to play.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Awww it probably will be a bit more relaxed at least... Since the rest of the band is taking a break, he will probably only go to the studio to write, compose, etc... I'm guessing they won't start recording until the whole band is there, so his working hours can be a bit more relaxed, and he can choose how to manage his time with more flexibility, and so also get some family time!! :D (I'm guessing, this is all just speculation of course... Maybe he's gonna work 24/7... Hope not, he deserves a bit of a break!! Although I'm glad they all had a bit of a break before the Latin American tour, during Christmas and that time, that was quite nice I'm sure)

COLDPLAY ARGENTINA

Chris Martin Quotes
Thanks for all the quotes, Chris is so hilarious... I think out of all bands, singers, and actors, I don't enjoy watching anyone get interviewed as much as I enjoy Coldplay interviews. In large part thanks to Chris' amazing sense of humor, but when it's all four of them together it's even better. I'll leave some quotes here from one of their latest interviews for Latin America, in Boomerang. It was quite a hilarious interview. The whole thing but here are some Chris quotes: -At first when they are introducing themselves: Jonny: Hi I'm Jonny... Chris: Are you? Jonny: Yeah Chris: Hi, I'm Chris. Nice to meet you Jonny: Hi! Nice to meet you Chris: And we are on Coldplay All Access Boomerang... We are on Acess All Boomerangs. Jonny: On Boombox Chris: In Coldplay... No, that was wrong.... (starts again) Hi, I'm Chris Jonny: And I'm Boombox Chris: And I'm Coldplay, and we're Jonny. LOL Chris: Just because we're not speaking doesn't mean we're not clever. (talking about how they get inspiration) Jonny: ... We bring in lots of books, and show each other different stuff, different films... Chris: We go on trips... We are like any other office in the world. You know we have outings -- do they have that in offices? I'm really basing this on the TV show The Office. Chris: Our God is our drummer... Am I gonna get in trouble for that with the Catholic Church? Then there was this really funny part where he tried to make a point by using squirrels as a metaphor. Jonny also had some GREAT moments in this interview!
