  1. V for Vendetta 9/10 ... Genius....
  2. I love the way Coldplay take you through a whole range of emotions - fear, and desperation, and acceptance, and all the darkness of the song. And yet, when it's all over, the lyric that you go around supconciously muttering in the supermarket checkout line or wherever is "If you love me, won't you let me know?" Very cool way to remind us what really matters. I don't know if the 'Love' on Violet Hill is really a girl as such, though.. To me, it's the false ideals, hopes and dreams that got him into the mess in the first place and then abandoned him to the future. He realizes they're empty - they won't speak to him - and now he's just looking for someone, anyone else to love him, accept him, and give his life some reason. It's great how the song is so subjective - sure, there were white lies all over the place, it was dark, the politicians and media were manipulatings us, and everything was covered in snow, but hey, I have a clear memory of this - "Clearly I remember". The singes is just as doubtful and manipulated as everyone else - it really is the story of the end of the world told from the point of veiw of an ordinary person.

They really should have aired it on Dr. House, though - "Those who are dead, they're not dead, they're just living in my head.." :D
  4. Ah yeah, it was gorgeous when they played it there.. I remember they had the airy intro from LIT 1 playing for hours before the show began.. Longet hours of my life, and then the concert just flew by :/
  5. I think Mari's probably right and that the inspriation for this came from Gwyneth... She was an exchange student in Spain, wasn't she? And she's an adopted daughter of queen Talavera of Spain. Perhaps the idea came from that influence and then just took off in the traditional odd/oblique/hey-that-sounds-good-let's-throw-that-in Coldplay direction.
  6. Yes. I`d even enjoy it :D Would I get extra money for that?? Lose a hand?
  7. No... But I would spend a year in a foreign country without seeing them. Not read a single book for a year?
  8. It really takes more advantage of the range of styles Coldplay does well, too....
  9. Hi, I recently went to the Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, but there were no cd's being handed out.. Though I'm currently in Argentina, my permanent adress is in Denmark, and I should be back there soon. Also, I'd be happy to pay for any shipping involved - I'd really love a copy :)
