I had to laugh when I opened the spoiler and I saw his face, I almost spit my drink, I didn't see it coming! I never heard of the suicide thing either.

That's what I believe as well, he said it as a sort of joke. Lots of things Chris says are not meant to be taken seriously. Sometimes he's just joking or exaggerating.
