I kinda understand where you come from. It has happened to me and not only with Coldplay, but focusing on Coldplay here, I've felt the same way with each album they have released after Parachutes and well, even though they have changed and evolved I don't think that's a bad thing. They're different from the Coldplay I knew and fell for in my teenage years, but I've liked what they've done so far, some things more than others, of course. I still love their music, I'm not ashamed to say I like VLV or X&Y. I love each album in a different way and for different reasons- as someone stated above me. There are things I don't like, songs I don't enjoy as much, but I'll keep listening to their music as long as the thing about them that caught me that first time is still there. I think they would have been succesful even if they continued writing the same kind of songs they were known for like Yellow or IMP, but they decided to change and try new things and they have not disappointed me so far. Granted, even though I enjoy it, I would not choose ETIAW over any of my favourite cp songs, but it seems the rest of the songs in the album are quite different and that makes me look forward to it. :)

I don't think they're rushing it, maybe they're just coming up with new ideas all the time. It sounds promising and exciting! I want to know how DLIBYH sounds like :wacko:

That's in South Africa, not South America. The first--and only- show in South America is on October 1st and it's Rock in Rio. But all the other info is ok :) Those gigs in South Africa seem to be the first shows of the tour. I still think October is the month, especially after what the Oracle said today.
