  1. Hey guys, I'm looking to recruit members for my new forum, "The Hypnofeed". It's a really chill place where geeky people can come and discuss geeky things. It's JUST getting off the ground, but if any of you guys want to be part of it, stop by and register. http://hypnofeed.freeforums.org/ I figured I might tell you guys about it, seeing as Coldplay fans are some of the coolest and smartest people on the internet. And just FYI: you will see someone named "mylo"--that's me.
  2. You're perfectly welcome to, Dee. It's called "The Hypnofeed". Here's the URL: http://hypnofeed.freeforums.org Just FYI, as admin I'm using the alias "mylo". Unoriginal and pretentious, I know, but it works. :D
  3. My forum will (hopefully) be a place where geeky people of all kinds can hang out and discuss geeky stuff. It's literally JUST getting off the ground, and I have one other member besides myself. But I have big plans for it. And perhaps I shall try the Lounge.
  4. Hey, guys. It's been a while. I was wondering where I can plug my forum I just started. I figure since you guys are some of the coolest people I know on the internet, you might want to be a part of it. Mods: would the Lounge be acceptable? Or do you not want people advertising their crap everywhere? Thanks, guys. Peace.
  5. Docklands, yes. But the skyline in the beginning is LA. Take a look.
  6. Pretty impressive. Definitely something awesome to do if you want to waste time. :)
  7. Well, I've never claimed to be sane. :) (At least not here.)
  8. So true, mon ami. I'm not even going to get involved here, and all I'm gonna say is, it doesn't matter whether you believe in God, science, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster; nothing gives you the right to rip on someone else because they believe differently than you do. It's called tolerance, people.
  9. I never knew Elmo was a serial killer. He must be related to Will. THOSE EYES! :o I think I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
  10. I think I might be able to sit through an agonizing five minutes of Justine Bieber to see a kickbutt five minutes of Coldplay. It would be worth it. And I really hope that they debut a new song. I know it's unlikely, but it might possibly be one of the most random and surprising, yet awesome things they've done in a while.
  11. IDK, I kind of like techno. I enjoyed this remix alot, probably because LiT is one of my favorite Coldplay songs. I'm just wondering why it's not called "Life in Technocolor".
  12. 10 seconds and you know the whole thing is made of WIN......where can we find it?
  13. I think that is indeed the case. I asked the Oracle about it and she said that he had a problem with blinking when the photos were being taken, so he tends to overcompensate for that. He does seem like a really cool dude. Though, whenever I see him in pics like that, he reminds me of Achmed the Dead Terrorist. He's like, "SILENCE! I KEEL YOU!"
  14. I believe he is inspiring them as opposed to forcing them. I read an article about Eno in MOJO mag recently featuring a short interview with Chris, and he talked about just how many good ideas Eno brought to the table (i.e. staring with an instrumental, no drums on Viva la Vida, et cetera). He helped them to branch out, to get away from the norm. Because when you're in a band, it's sometimes easy to say, "Oh, that's not us." But Eno helped bring fresh ideas as they got rid of that mentality and rethought themselves and their music. The band said that X&Y was something people expected of them, and they wanted to so something totally different for LP4. Having Eno come on board was voluntary on the band's part. Viva was unprecedented as far as records go, and Eno was a big part of that, I think.
  15. I seriously LOL every time I see a picture of Will like that. :laugh3: He looks homicidal.
  16. Don't Panic. And I haven't even listened to it. It's been running through my head for hours.
  17. Perhaps. Still, I don't see how one could fit any of their music into a genre...they pretty much have a genre of their own. Categorizing Coldplay is like trying to put an eagle inside different cages to see which one works best. It's pointless, because eagles don't belong in cages...they belong in the sky.
  18. I like X&Y better as well. But think about it: What does it say about a band when you can love their worst album?
  19. You said it, mon ami. It's sad that even WITHIN the circle of Coldplay fans we have elitists; they're all, "Viva sucks, and if you like it, then you're not a real fan." Personally, I don't understand why the really "serious" fans say AROBTTH is so far above everything else. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great album--like, a really great album. But I didn't find anything in it that wasn't in any of the rest of Coldplay's music; uplifting messages, heartfelt lyrics, kickbutt musicianship, and all-around awesomeness. Maybe I'm just missing something. :\
