IMO, this thread is unnecessary, even though I know it's just speculation and all for fun. That's great. But there is indeed a pattern in Coldplay's album titles: they're all called something you'd never guess. Ever. So, methinks LP5 will blow everyone away. We'll all be like, ":inquisitive: What IS this? Why is it called (insert album title here)?" But then we'll hear the album, and we'll realize that the title is pure freaking genius and that it's perfect for the album. It's just how Coldplay work. They'll always do what you least expect, and it'll turn out to be a work of art.

I already asked a couple of months ago, but it doesn't look like I'm on the list. I would very much like a copy. I live in the USA.

I think this subject is being over-thought. We've already established: some are pro-Viva, some are anti-Viva, and some don't care. It's as simple as that. I personally am pro-Viva; I don't necessarily think it's better than Oldplay (I love me some Parachutes), but it's certainly not worse.

I'm curious; what article are you referring to? You see, I'm writing a post for my blog about the Viva process, and I'm wondering where it all started. Do you have any info on this NY Times article?

I believe what you refer to is what the band call "Oldplay". Chris himself said that they did their old style to death, so with VLVODAAHF (not to mention PM) they wanted to do something new and fresh and bold...and they succeeded. What's wrong with being original?

So that's when I first heard "Clocks"! Now it all makes sense. :cool: But I may have heard "Trouble" before that...maybe on a spot for the TV show Redwall. For some reason, I always associate "Trouble" with that show.

Yesterday my monster motorcycle broke down. So I proceeded to fix it using only a pocket knife and some duct tape. After I got it working again, I shot a bear and grilled the meat over an open fire for a celebration snack. With my cycle now working correctly, I went out for a drive. Just then a semi came barreling out of nowhere. I was lucky enough to jump off my cycle at the last minute. I survived, but my bike was totaled. Then the semi exploded in a column of flame and awesomeness. I just walked away without looking at it. (Because, you know, cool guys don't look at explosions, they walk away from them.) Then I grabbed a 2-ton piece of wreckage and carried it home as a souvenir. Then I went to watch TV and stroke my amazing beard. Gotta love Fridays.
