OK, I'm seeing surprising amounts of hate from the Coldplay fanbase towards Brian Eno, thought I'd address it. I'm not a Eno worshipper or anything, but I think it's stupid to blame your dislike for Paradise on him. He's arguably one of the best ever producers - he's worked on some of the greatest albums of all time (The Joshua Tree, Remain in Light) and he's a pretty great solo musician as well (Another Green World, Here Come the Warm Jets). Besides, the production is the best thing about Paradise. The lyrics and chorus melody are where the song goes wrong, and it's extremely unlikely that he had anything to do with either. To sum up: LEAVE BRIAN ALONE!!! That is all.

Us Against the World is actually more like A Rush of Blood to the Head than Parachutes. It sounds like Green Eyes. Very simple riffs (Parachutes actually had some pretty intense guitar parts), with the vocal being the main (sole?) focus.

It's just one song. Jonny is actually far more prominent on MX than he has been since Parachutes. Hurts Like Heaven and Major Minus are great examples.

We're still trying to find Jonny in Viva la Vida. :laugh3:

No WAY. In My Place definitely takes second place, with Speed of Sound at third.

The tempo might actually be a tad slow for a good rap, now that I study it.

I think Speed of Sound has some of Chris's best lyrics.
