  1. Um...no they're not. I went with U2. They're not exactly burning up the airwaves anymore (though I did hear Mysterious Ways twice the other day ) but overall, they're the biggest band on the planet. As for quality? Radiohead is by far the best of these options (or any options, in my opinion :P). U2 next, then Coldplay. Three awesome bands. Muse is pretty bad though. Origin of Symmetry was pretty great, Absolution pretty good, and everything else was just terrible. The Resistance is unlistenable. They're coming back soon though.
  2. Coldplay have some of the greatest music videos ever: Strawberry Swing and Life in Technicolor ii. The Scientist isn't bad either. The rest are though. :laugh3:
  3. Charlie Brown. No competition.
  4. Pop music isn't confined to the world of synths, drum machines and cheesy guest appearances. It just refers to music that is popular, or aimed at the public. A Rush of Blood to the Head certainly isn't avant-garde, so there's really nothing else to call it. Anyway, I prefer to listen to all albums in one sitting, if possible.
  5. It's obvious now. This entire era is just a huge troll attempt. Good one, Coldplay.
  6. Intervention and My Body is a Cage are freakin' masterpieces.
  7. Arcade Fire. 'Nuff said. And Motion Picture Soundtrack > Fix You.
  8. In My Place is by far the worst song on A Rush of Blood to the Head.
  9. Not to mention that it's nearly a direct ripoff from a U2 song. Personally, I cringe at the verses of Fix You. And Swallowed in the Sea. And Talk. And the Hardest Part. AND WHAT IF, OH GOD. Pretty much everything on X&Y except Speed of Sound and Twisted Logic is cringe-worthy.
  10. I have like ten leaks in my roof right now. We have to redo the entire thing. I'll spend the next few days trotting around on this incredibly steep roof, trying not to slip and fall to my death.
  11. Viva is brilliant. Just because it was a radio hit doesn't mean it's a bad song...There's really nothing else like it. Unquestionably one of Martin's best lyrical works, one of his greatest melodies. What's cheap about it?
  12. Hope they do Shiver acoustic. That'd be sweet.
  13. Did someone just zoom across the stage on a zipline?!?! :freak:
  14. I was referring to Stone Sour. Chili Peppers are great.
  15. Am I the only one that thinks Snow Patrol is kinda boring? :embarrassed: Chasing Cars is a quality song though.
  16. Well, I think there's no argument that Stone Sour is better suited to Rock in Rio than Coldplay. :P
  17. It's been a few moments now. XD It's actually on 6:00 PM here.
  18. Come on guys. Flea is like...the best bassist ever.
  19. Get out. :veryangry2:
