  1. Cool! I've added you! It'll take me a little while to get it. I have a feeling I might regret it! It seems like it'll be addictive.
  2. I know! 100 pages!! Whoohooo! Ok, so I set up a Tumbr but I have no idea how to do anything! I'm so clueless. This is really weird too, but on the page that I assume is my home page there's a little picture of the plastic beach cover! How do they know? Are they watching me?? :laugh3:
  3. Yeh, that's true. I'm sure he gets stopped an awful lot! Is it Smoggy you're confused about? Sorry! Damon has a bodyguard and they call him Smoggy. I don't know what his actual name is, but that's what he's known as. I think when Blur started to get famous, the record company decided that Damon needed one and so they assigned Smoggy to him, and he's been with him ever since.
  4. Haha! I love how absolutely outraged you are! :laugh3: She really is unbelievable. Cheeky bitch getting all up in his grill :D. [ http://pinewooddesign.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/banksy/damon-banksy.jpg Is this the pic you mean Lizzy? Damon looks like such a hobo! I suppose it works for him though - not many people would really recognise him. Lyvie, Smoggy is Damon's bodyguard/minder :D. Those coats are so pretty. I want one! I love this! I can't wait to see the video. The whole gang's back together. That setlist made me squeal! They're playing Plastic beach, and Demon days and Tomorrow Comes Today?!! I am so ridiculously excited for this show. I feel like a child waiting for christmas.
  5. I know! She is such an idiot. I almost feel sorry for her - she's so clueless. I don't really feel jealous, 'cause you just know he was bemused by the whole thing. I'm sure he finds her ridiculous! I'm surprised that she knew him too tbh.
  6. Aw shucks  That's a lucky girl. She knows it too - look at that smile on her face!
  7. Oh man! This thread was all the way back on page three :whip: I forgot to say that I finished reading 'A Bit of a Blur'. It was so good! Alex is a very funny man. I was laughing the whole way through. He just does not take himself seriously. It's a really great book. Some of his stories are just hilarious. There's a couple of Damon stories, which are just brilliant. I'd definitely recommend it to any Blur fan. Even if you're not a fan I'd say you'd enjoy it!
  8. I totally, agree - Liz is so friendly and lovely! I understand you not wanting to be nominated though, Lizzy - I would be the same! Yeh, it's so nice in here. There's no bitchiness. We're just spreading the love!
  9. This made me laugh out loud! :laugh3: Definitely agree. I LOVE Hong Kong. I think the 'live in manchester' is the best version. This would be a lot of fun :D Haha! Don't worry, I didn't take offence or anything, and you're very welcome.
  10. I know!! I really hope they incorporate it into the setlist, even if Miho isn't there. I mean they could always have Rosie doing noodle's part.
  11. Half of the Clash are playing with the Gorillaz live band, as in Mick Jones and Paul Simonon. Paul and Damon worked together on 'The Good the Bad and the Queen', and I suppose he wanted to work on Gorillaz too, and the Mick joined. It's very cool. Damon calls it the 'Clash sandwich'. Teeny bopper - no. Music lover-yes. If I really like a band or musician I tend to listen to all of their stuff, and so they might be mainly what I'll listen to for a while. It's just the way I roll :). Is that what you mean? Edit: Hey, check it out: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twss52Y30jo&feature=sub]YouTube - Murdoc's Gorillaz World Tour Diary 1[/ame] :D
  12. Oh my god!! I am such an idiot :embarrassed:. I totally misread Shani's post! I thought she was saying that an album called 'lie to me' was the best of the year. Just forget I said anything! Nothing to see here. Move along...:laugh3:
  13. Which album is that? I googled it and Johnny Lang came up, but that was released 1997 . It sounds like it's worth checking out. Yeh, that's the same as me - I've only been a proper fan for maybe 6 months. I liked all their singles, but for some reason I never bought their albums. Demon Days was the first one I bought, and it totally blew me away. It's just such a beautiful album. They're one of very few bands and musicians that really mean a lot to me. I know that sounds really cheesy, but you know what I mean. Sometimes something just hits you hard.
  14. Ha! Same here. I always have to remind myself of which thread I'm in. And that's so true. I mean, it's ridiculous to be jealous. It's seriously delusional to think like that! We're just girls (and guys?) who like to dream.... naughtily :wink3:
  15. youtube downloader is always good. It downloads the video and then it lets you convert it to mp3 and then just delete the video file and keep the mp3 Oh god! That is just fantastic! I read that before and then lost the link, so thanks for that! It's like he was desperate to impress her and just didn't think. He's just so funny - "and how important I was"
  16. I think the album is up on youtube. You could download it from there. And thanks for that GIF. He is so sexy in that video
  17. Thanks for the link, Lizzy. It's an interesting interview - I didn't really get what she did with her art before. It sounds really interesting. And I can't believe people say that about her. She is beautiful and she seems so nice too. People are bastards.
  18. It's great! Also, check out "gotta get down with the passing of time" - it sounds like he chokes on his drink at the start! There are some really quirky bits on this album. I really like it!
  19. Democrazy is great! I really like a lot of the tracks on there. 'Half a song' is frustratingly short. You really get into it and then it just cuts off! Have you heard 'end of democrazy'? At the end of the song, you hear what sounds like his toilet flushing (there's a lot of toilets around here lately :D) and then in a really cute voice he says goodbye in lots of different ways and his voice gets higher and higher. It's so funny and absolutely adorable!
  20. Oh wow! That's great news! Thanks for that! I read also that he has a bunch of blur demos, so I'd say an album is a pretty sure thing as well :D.
  21. Thank you so much for this link! I watched this at the time, but I couldn't download it and then it was gone. It's funny that he chews his t-shirts. I used to do that with my jumpers (I think you guys would call them sweaters (?) long-sleeved tops). It was pretty disgusting actually, I would often have holes in the sleeves. People thought there was something wrong with me! They weren't too far wrong :D. I'd really like to see Blur live. I wonder if they'll actually tour again? It's hard to tell. It'd be great. Damn Alex for putting these images in my head. I have things to do! :laugh3:
  22. No problem at all dahlings :D I took a couple of screen caps to show you. It is Smoggy, isn't it? Or am I gone crazy?! (hope I link these right) http://yfrog.com/f5smoggy1j http://yfrog.com/mzsmoggy2j
  23. Voiceover: "Damon Albarn, from the British band Gorillaz, saw Bruce Lee at an early age and was blown away. His band sold over 15 million albums, and their latest project, a circus-opera (!) called 'Monkey, journey to the west', has been staged around the world. "When creating the music for the opera, Damon Albarn drew on the soundtrack to 'Enter the Dragon'" Damon: "I definitely thought about that when I was doing the music for the monkey opera - the strong use of orchestra. It's just really exiting. It never became dull, you know." Then they show a clip of the Gorillaz bite 'Game of Death'. Voiceover: "Bruce Lee's influence has been apparant in much of the Gorillaz work since they launched in 1998 as the world's first virtual band. They created their own game of death animation and dressed monkey in Bruce Lee's signature yellow tracksuiit." Damon: "He put monkey in a Bruce Lee..." Jamie: (interrupting) "Yeah, well exactly - Monkey's got a Bruce Lee tracksuit". Jamie's laughing a lot! It's quite weird actually - Smoggy's (I'm nearly sure it's him) sitting in the middle of the two of them! It just looks weird - like they're about to have a violent fight at any min - charts of darkness style :laugh3: Damon: "You can't really... It's so iconic." voiceover: "The Gorillaz aren't the only artists to capitalise on Bruce Lee's influence." And then it moves on to something else.
  24. Dudes!! I bring good news :D Here is a link to the documentary: http://stagevu.com/video/heujevayyxnh Damon's (and Jamie's) bit starts at about 1:17. It's short but very cool!
  25. Haha! Girl D and boy D :D
