Nice thread. Can't resist writing a long-ish post. :dozey: My view hasn't changed. I still think MX is their most cohesive album and there's a few great songs on it, but I feel like there's something missing. I don't have the urge to listen to it, haven't heard it more than 15 times. It flows well, there's a few OK experiments (Up In Flames), there's great guitar parts and Chris's voice sounds better than ever, but something turns me off. It sounds too big. Like they pictured a packed stadium when they wrote the songs (which they probably did). Maybe they're trying too hard. I've never liked ETIAW one bit and I'm not a fan of DLIBYH and Princess Of China either. (POC was sort of a guilty pleasure for a while though.) Us Against The World is amazing, but nothing 'new'. Same goes for U.F.O. and Charlie Brown. I am still in love with the first half of Paradise. Major Minus is great. Up With The Birds... I'm not sure of. Hurts Like Heaven has been my favourite from the start and is in my top 10 Coldplay songs. The best thing about this era is the band itself. They're so confident on stage and even though the gimmicks are a bit much, it looks spectacular. I think they're playing better than ever. I still hope they have the balls to do something entirely different for LP6.

Yeah we were, which was amazing, but I don't think the Malieveld crowd will be anywhere near as loud. We have a reputation... If I were them I would pick something like Paris or Spain. Or maybe Latin America.

If they're picking a place by how loud the audience will be... no filming in The Netherlands. :dozey:

:lol: I love Radiohead and 'technically' they're a lot better than Coldplay. They're much more inventive and write better lyrics. But Coldplay grabs me in a more direct way. I feel like Coldplay is sincerer. I don't know why. Thanks, nice interview.

I'm having a feeling about tomorrow too... On what day did they release the previous two videos? It's probably going to be an unpopular video and the forum will be a bad place for a while. Either way I don't care if it sucks. The Paradise video is so good I can deal with a couple of shitty ones.
