  1. Blue Nails replied to Pris's topic in Coldplay
Some of their tweets (like that^ one) don't appear in my timeline. :\ Anyone else having that problem?
  2. Oh I love these stories! Like l0wxo2, when I heard The Scientist in Wicker Park and also Don't Panic in some random gardening tv show, in 2007. I recognized Chris's voice, because I knew and liked four of their hits (Trouble, Clocks, Talk and Speed of Sound), but I never really payed attention. :shame: And then for a while I thought they were a bunch of depressing assholes, until I started watching interviews.
  3. Ah the weather... Hadn't really thought of that. ^Let's hope so... Probably not though. I'll probably be there around 3ish, with one of my best friends and my parents. My mum is actually a pretty huge fan. I'd swear she has a tiny crush on Chris. :P With the xylobands it wouldn't hurt to be a few rows back either, btw.
  4. One of #42's greatest blogs! “…It’s still all about bringing passionate music into the mainstream, which is what we’ve always been about…” Somehow, that quote just clicked in my brain. This makes up for why they make these decisions. Their appearance on the X Factor could even mean a middle finger to shows like that, like they're saying: 'You should be doing this.' I also think going the pop direction (as a 'passionate' band) is in some ways a lot more risky than following the more alternative or experimental path. And: they played DON'T PANIC?! :dazzled:
  5. No worries, LP6 sounds great.
  6. They're called 'xylobands'? :| Ah I don't care :dazzled:
  7. Well, your MX release date was later and they're not doing US december gigs, so it's kind of fair. :P Mine says processed...? I did get a delay mail.
  8. Agreed completely. Moving To Mars is better than at least eight songs on MX. On the other hand, MTM would have taken the tempo out of the album. I think they picked a great flow over songs this time, they wanted this to be cohesive more than anything. Btw, I remember reading they disagreed about what songs should be on the final tracklist. So if Chris looked disappointed, he might have been the one arguing for MTM to be on the album. In which case people should stop blaming him for their 'MX sound'.
  9. Thanks for the video! Charlie Brown has become my new favourite. Paradise was ok too. ;) Actually it was, still get goosebumps during Jonny's solo. It's weird seeing the world talking about them so much recently (or about Chris being hot/sweaty). They're so huge, while in my brain they're still 'my little band' :P
  10. Phew I was just in time to see them. Thanks for the stream links! I love that. :awesome: And I love those wristbands. I totally adore the wristbands. I don't care that it's just another slick trick. Wristbands are the best thing ever.
  11. I know, but there were two days back then. The Goffertpark also holds about 60,000 I believe? The first date sold out fast (I think within a day), so they announced a second. I really think there's huge demand, possibly more than in 2009. 'Malieveld' is still trending on Twitter too.
  12. Just got that too :( Well, I just hope it arrives before Christmas. ^The official date is the 19th, but it will be dispatched before that. I guess.
  13. ^Yeah I hink it will be sold out quickly. A lot of people want to go. Btw, if you want to see them in a stadium, this one is more like a huge field. ;) But maybe they'll announce more dates and come to Brussels too...? Edit: And yes the American Express thing is stupid. Edit2: And indeed very weird buying tickets for this and then seeing them the next day.
  14. ^I'd go for London. You could always get on a plane. :P Yeah, the balloons and butterflies went into the trees. On the other hand, same goes for an outdoor concert in July, when you live in Holland. ;) I'm wondering why they didn't pick the Goffertpark either. Maybe The Hague can handle traffic better than Nijmegen. Traffic was a disaster in 2009. And wondering if they will announce a second date, on the 5th or 7th...
  15. (I hoped they would say Chris Martin will lock the SR glass house, but no, it was Gary Lightbody. Which is also extremely awesome. :awesome:) These are bad times for my bank account. Edit: 'Malieveld in Den Haag' was worldwide TT for about five seconds.
  16. September 6th, Malieveld, Den Haag, Netherlands :D
  17. ^Let's hope that doesn't leak.
  18. ^ I've been ignoring the Live section for the same reason. Thanks. So 90 minutes, not too long... Let's shout for a second encore, and they can play Amsterdam.
  19. Can't believe how he comes up with these things
  20. Ah I like the second one :wacky: But I wish the Major Minus one (which they called 'Teardrop' :dozey:) was in... well, not pink. But I like it still. Pretty good shirts. Will try to buy one in Rotterdam.
  21. Looking forward to this
  22. I don't like them using that song either.
  23. More to come more to come more to come...? :wink3:
