I had a compaq and it did the exact same thing! I got a fancy cooling pad and everything and it still was boiling hot. You should just get a new one. But stay away from HP laptops (compaq is made by HP), they notoriously suck. When I used to work in Electronics for Walmart, they were always returned. And then we got a notice saying HP were going to ditch making laptops cause their sales sucked so bad and yeah. But I got a Gateway a few months ago and it's awesome, and it was just around $300 for 6GB ram and 750GB HDD and a good graphics card, so really cheap for a lot of memory and speed.

I suck too!! I don't get the double control stick thingy, and I always need to inverse everything (which apparently is really weird, or so I've been told). I'm only semi decent on the PC versions for those games. My favourite is Return To Castle Wolfenstein. Hahah it's so old, but it's definitely at my speed. Welllll, I'd like to keep my shoulder intact, so yeah, I think I'll pass :P

I used play first person shooter games a lot and I always used the sniper whenever possible to shoot the bad guys. It was strangely satisfying. Ahhhh, ouuch. Hahah, I think I'll stick with my safe hobbies..
