Every single israeli wants peace, and the vast vast majority are willing to give up their legal land to do so, HOWEVER, how can a government negotiate with a terrorist organisation whos mantra is the destruction of the other party of negotiation???? when you can answer that, get back to me. disgusting, i hate it when bands try to get involved in politics which are way beyond their realm, i dont know if any of you know what happend when u2 came to south africa... it never ends well. really disappointed in my band before you bring up mtf, think about the stance this statement has taken. its not saying peace in the middle east or 2 state solution, its clearly pro palestine, therefore anti israel

i voted for amsterdam, it wasnt even a proper option really surprised that people are saying violet hill! easily in my bottom 5 coldplay songs, but each to their own

im really torn between 2 minds. on the one hand, im desperate for new material, and i want the new album as soon as possible, but on the other hand, im going to my first coldplay gig in cape town in october, and i would absolutely hate having to listen to brand new songs replacing earlier classics such as everythings not lost, amsterdam, politik, etc, etc, etc. especially if the album comes out very close to the show and i wont get a chance to get used to the songs. i dont mind them playing a couple of new songs from the new album, but id really be disappointed if i went to the coldplay gig ive been dreaming about for 10 years (i actually dreamed about the concert last night) and they played 7 new songs like they did last night, for that reason, im willing to wait for a mid october release. (i know its selfish)

ok, sorry if im completely wrong, but im new to posting on here (although ive been a coldplay fanatic for 10+ years)...anyway, i was reading over locust7's posts on the forum, and its absolutely uncanny that the things he says resemble the truth, i honestly think, and im open to correction, that locust7 is someone within the coldplay camp. just a few examples: "the melody and rhythm on this song maybe nothing you ever expected to hear before from them (and it's just speculation)" - obviously they had to say its speculation... "No, I'm sorry... But I don't think it'll be on Monday, that's all I can say (but maybe Tuesday or Wednesday)" monday has come and gone without a single release... and the most revealing for me: "Maybe the answer of how the LP or the song is titled or are in front of us, and always have been... Lyrics of the song shown regard that music is the issue, could the M word be just "Music"?" Mnemonics and murals, right in front of us no? and the MX on the newspaper on the website and the MM painted with spray paint on the website "You people, all scratching your heads right now, wait for a week, and you'll see... Let come May 31st, June 1st..., round midnight between both days in Europe, you'll probably be or have been..." come on its worth a conspiracy...

its economics for me and the same story, with stats on wednesday and marketing on thursday, coldplay doing this reeeeeeally not helping! (unless they release a song about Cournot or Kruskal-wallis or something of the sort)

i think the best thing for all of us to do is to relax and just expect something by the first festival show, that way, we wont waste our time pressing f5 instead of studying, doing our jobs, etc, and when an announcement actually does come, we can all have a massive pleasent surprise that will be far greater than the constant disappointment on not getting an update every 5 mins, even though we know that it wont really happen. easier said than done though...

ive been reading these posts for ages now and excrutiatingly havent been able to post a reply due to some stupid administration error...anyway, id just like to say that these latest batch of lyrics are the best so far. i felt like theyve gotten progressively better, and i only started feeling any form of real depth from the "id rather be a comma than a full stop" bit. however, i feel these lyrics are extremely deep and really really good. the bit about being in the gap between two trapezes, wow. i.e. falling through mid-air not being able to hold onto the supports beside you, which echoes the first line of "maybe im in the black" (falling through the air). it paints such a vivid picture in my mind its like ive constructed the entire scene in my mind. i think it goes without saying that "being on my knees" is about a cry for help, also at home in its surrounding lyrics, dark and deep, i love it!
