Awwww :) I know exactly what you guys are talking about! Coldplay is awesome.

I love the artwork they put out for EVERY album. Especially X&Y. When Coldplay adopts a theme, they REALLY stick to it. It's that dedication (that encompasses everything, not just the music) that makes Coldplay awesome.

Amsterdam is brilliant. Non-LP: I Bloom Blaum.

I mean what I was saying about viva is that most say it's a better album. Therefore it's not a really long album that makes the music better. The job of the producer is to process the music and make it better quality. I really don't think he has a say in the length/track listing. With coldplay, I hear it's up to Will anyway :)

Brian Eno has produced a crapload of stuff, including several U2 albums, a few of which are quite long. It's not him that makes Coldplay albums short. Plus, I'd rather have another Viva (45 mins) than another X&Y (1:15). Length doesn't have anything to do with quality of the songs.

I think what made Viva good was the pacing and overall layering of the album and that would not have been possible if they released an ass load of new songs. X&Y is arguably their worst disk (although still awesome) but it was the longest. Quality, not quantity.

My guess is late September. I just can't see it coming out in October...idk I don't really care the date, I just want a definite time. It's getting a little annoying.

I mean, then what? It's not like we have many options. :confused:

I'm gonna go ahead and expect a new album by 2016. Then I'll be pleasantly surprised when it comes in the fall! :laugh3:

Sometimes when I run I just listen to all of VLV. It's quite fast-paced and layered. Reign of Love is usually skipped though. It makes me want to walk!

Hmm. Blue Room is one of three things I'm missing (Blue Room, Safety and Mince Spies. The latter two I doubt I'll ever get). I just got the What If single last week! I'm kind of interested. But I'd like to see a picture if possible?

What does everyone think the best Coldplay songs for working out are? I've actually started working out (kill me please) for the first time in a while. I want to make a Coldplay-exclusive workout playlist! "GPASUYF" worked out well today. I really like the Fix You bit when it speeds up (when I hear that I think about how he started running in that part of the video and it makes me want to keep going, haha). Major Minus will work out too I bet!

I mean there's not very many words starting with X that could be on the album. We have seen the made-up word "xylobrytes" in the background of PoC so it's probably incorporated in some way, given that there's very few words that they can use beginning with X. So I really do think that "xylobrytes" is an important part of LP5. I just don't know what the heck it is. :shocked2: At first I believed the thing about "mutagenic xylobrytes" because it makes sense. I'm a physics/bio major and we talk about mutagens all the time coming from space in the form of radiation, and seeing that a thematic element of this album is space, I thought it made sense! (a mutagen is something that causes a mutation, usually leading to cancer or cell death). So yeah. My science knowledge coupled with my inherent gullibility, I guess. :lol:
