  1. Alright. Well I have 14 groups for round 1 regardless. I tried to fit as many songs as possible in but I need an even number of groups otherwise it'll all go tits up in later rounds. So there are gonna be some b-sides not on here.
  2. So you think I should balance it out more with b-sides and the like? Because I've already got the later groups planned out for when b-sides come into it and they're mixed in with album tracks too. There are barely any rounds which are all b-sides.
  3. I was going to include b-sides and older material after I'd run out of Prospekt's March material and as each album runs out of tracks I'll include b-sides to replace them until I've used every Coldplay song (to my knowledge, I'll be checking Wikipedia to make sure I've missed none). But someone said earlier it may be best to incorporate non-album tracks sooner than that. I don't see the advantage of that, but fair enough.
  4. That is the entire point. The weaker songs would be cut off. It's in later rounds that better songs will be facing against each other. I have already said I will include as many Coldplay songs as possible, so don't cry, your precious pre-Parachutes material will make an appearance.
  5. I will try.... to Fix You EDIT: Actually, gonna vote Scientist instead tbh
  6. What was the Twisted Logic version of Clocks like?
  7. Charlie Brown has to get my vote, one of my favourite Coldplay songs
  8. I was waiting for that one, lol Looks cool though :)
  9. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP89Xiaah3k]Coldplay Live @MEN Arena 2011 - Charlie Brown & Paradise - YouTube[/ame] Looks like everyone from that video
  10. Vote for your favourite song! The two highest rated will make it into Round 2! My vote has to be Shiver. My favourite Coldplay song. Wonderful song.
  11. I voted Square One btw, although Coldplay generally have excellent openers :)
  12. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5232051&posted=1#post5232051 The game was suggested in that link, you can find out the way songs will be grouped there too. It's simple enough. Everyone just vote for their favourite song out of the following and they'll progress to Round 2. I'll post the second group of songs in a bit, if this grouping gets enough votes.
  13. To hell with it. I'm gonna post the first group of songs now.
  14. Has it been done in the format I've suggested, and with MX songs? Either way, it'd kill time.
  15. I'd include secret takes yep. And I'd include b-sides to round it off to an even number. I've managed to make it work on my Muse tournament and they have around an even number of songs as Coldplay I'd say (both have five albums, with about 11 songs on each).
  16. lol, is this about the STUPIDLY AMAZING amount of pyrotechnic explosions at the end of their Brits performance? That was incredibly loud on my TV.
  17. On the other hand... I think the following four hits should be played at EVERY show: Yellow Clocks Fix You Viva la Vida They're huge songs, all seem PERFECT for a live environment. I always say that there are some songs every band has that have to be played at every show, these are Coldplay's.
  18. I'm gonna re-open this poll. I only wanna do this if I get enough votes because it's a lot of work (especially since I'm also organising one on a Muse site too)
  19. I actually am listening to X&Y now and this song is on atm. I think it's a pretty decent song. A nice little R.E.M. tribute. Not amazing but it's nowhere near one of Coldplay's worst song. It gets a hard time from people on here.
  20. It reminds me of R.E.M. but not as good obviously
  21. Wow. This comes days before I was going to pay for some Coldplay tickets from Viagogo too. I still am going to, as they're only £70 and not as outrageously overpriced as this article makes it seem. Although other shows were over £100 a ticket.
  22. I dislike that song too. One of my least favourites from U2.
  23. I always thought of The Unforgettable Fire (the album as a whole, but the title track mainly) being the blueprint for The Joshua Tree and in particular Where the Streets Have No Name. In turn, I see the song Zooropa as being the flipside of Where the Streets Have No Name. It's the same as it, but also the exact opposite. Then City of Blinding Lights is a return to Streets. I see TUF, Streets, Zooropa and COBL to all be part of a series of songs.
  24. I don't think I've heard it. I remember the VLV Tour having an electronic version that went into Talk in videos I've seen and it looked cool. But I don't remember a new version of that song in the concerts I've watched (Glastonbury and Madrid).
